    This is not a frequently talked about episode but it is a prime example of why you could fall in love with the Golden Girls with just one episode. It's a powerful and funny episode.

    not a fan of this episode, with Jeremy, making fun of Rebecca.
    I like Sophia & her friends, confronting their boss at the chow wagon.
    and this part - Jeremy the jerk: 'Becky's a bigger everything.'
    Dorothy: 'not everything.'

    There were some funny moments in this episode, but I couldn't stand Jeremy! It got to me because I came from an abusive relationship with my first husband. I'm so glad Becky finally wised up and realized that she's beautiful inside and out, and that she can do so much better! 💞💞

    Love my GG's, but there was a bit of hypocrisy in this episode for me. Sure, Rebecca's boyfriend was an absolute jerk and a horrible guy; she deserved much better than him. But Sophia and Rose to a lesser extent were brutal with their fat jokes / comments at the beginning.

    • @tempusspiritus
      @tempusspiritus 6 месяцев назад +5

      It’s normal for Sophia to be rude to everyone though because she’s known for having no filter and in the first episode Blanche even claims it’s because of her stroke where she is incapable of filtering herself. Rose is also known for blurting things out when surprised as well and not always thinking things through before speaking so her making that one comment didn’t come off as an insult to me. Rose just spoke the blunt, honest truth. It was very in character for both of them.

    • @NoxVex
      @NoxVex 6 месяцев назад

      Sophia=coz of stroke
      Rose=simply out of naivety.
      Like not just in this episode, but on almost every episode.
      You might as well attack them for attacking blanche for her slutness

    • @anniesmolkin7685
      @anniesmolkin7685 6 месяцев назад +1

      In a loving playful way and Blanche is her mom it's out of love and rose is just dumb doesn't know what she says. He is a man who tries to make the woman think she doesn't deserve respect likes to keep her feeling low and down on herself as a means to control

    • @AlexxaReacts
      @AlexxaReacts  6 месяцев назад +2

      Sophia gets a pass because it's the side effects of her stroke! As for Rose, she gets flustered and blabbers, so she kind of gets a pass too. But Jeremy...HE'S AN A$$! 😂

    It's not Dorothy and Rose place to say something to Blanche's daughter about her nasty boyfriend. They have to keep their annoyance and irritation to themselves and let Blanche and Blanche's daughter handle it the situation.

  • @CJWJR

    I wish that Dorothy, Sophia, and Rose had stood up to Jeremy in Rebecca's (and Blanche's) defense. That way it wouldn't have looked like Blanche was "doing it again."

      I found the episode hilarious and powerful. It showcased once again that uncomfortable subjects can be handled with humour. That's one of the best things about movies and tv shows, they can bring levity to serious issues like this one. Also, laughing is better for the soul than crying! 😁💛
