⚠️ RUNNING TIPS 👍

- Arms’ swing is really important for a good running economy 😂
•❌ Don’t push the elbows laterally and outside
•✅ Elbows need to move next to the body, back and forth. This movement allows to push stronger and don’t loose efficiency.
Especially when I am tired, this is something I find hard to do sometimes. It’s one of my weakness and I need to work a lot on it too 😊
To improve, my advice is to use elastic bands to simulate running arms swing movement and improve arms strength! 💪

swears I didn't see the difference until I watched it for the third time 😂
But that third time hit different.
So do i 😄😄
@@NEGAN69 Look at the point of her elbows. In the proper position, her arms and elbows move from in front of the runner to the rear of the runner. In the proper position, you are able to run with a towel in between your armpit, without it falling out. That is because your armpit stays close to your body, but moves front to back. The improper arm placement, her arms and elbows move from her sides outward to the space left and right of her torso. This position will look more like the chicken dance because your arms open wide away from your body. So remember elbow front to back, never side to side ( they should move in the direction you are moving in). Hope this helps!
Frr
same😂😂😂😂
Basically if you didn't catch it the first... or second or.. fifth time, don't point your elbows out, point them back.
❤
Thank you
i think it is quite easy to see, but imho the reasoning is mising in this video. When you ae running straight her hint is right, when you are running with lot of direction changes wide elbows are useful
That happened to me.. 😢
So if have to watch it 10 times to understand….
Then it doesn’t really matter 😂😂😂
she’s a runner,
SHES A TRACKSTAR 😩😩😩
Nah that was a goofy ahh run
She a runner she’s a stick bug
She is goofy runnerr
Trackstar? Not even close
Shes a very average runner only. Her times nothing to shout about.
She is demonstrating that you should run with your arms moving in a forward and back motion instead of side to side. You are more efficient moving your arms forward and back versus side to side
Thank you, the arrows were confusing… thought she wanted me to tuck in my arms
Incorrect
Can you do more of these kind? cause I’m not good at running 😣 learning from your videos!
And I am good in running but bad in math😣
@@hanzalaidrees wait what ?!! So what's the link btw them ?🗿💀
@@demonslayerkimetsunoyaiba9139 the link between this is someone is good in something but also bad in something
Don't follow this tips! Please look at the other comments
I heard if you dont know how to properly run, do it backwards and then do those same movements forward. (Id still look that up.. js)
And yet the long distant champions, cough, cough, Kenyans, run like the first mode that she referred to as incorrect. Running is about you, as long as your knees and back are in correct posture, whatever style you find comfortable for you then run it.
Not really, having a correct running form is about preventing injury too
Sigma
Even Konstanze Klosterhalfen (German) runs like that 😅
The first one is for long distance, but it's also effective that you try to circling your hands to reduce cramps as for my experience. The 2nd one was for sprint I think, but I'm not an elite runner tho' just a casual one. But I ran 10k for about 50mins. If you're trying to go fast, it's also effective to bend your chest forward.
But you are not kenyan nor a long distance champion. Not everything that works for the top competitors of the sport will translate well for the common folk
You're amazing. You always smile. I see the running give you a lot of joy 🙂 You are the best motivation for us🤙💪 🇵🇱
I believe in my self, I can't afford to see anything different
Semi-pro here, it doesn't matter nearly as much as people think and what is shown as correct may be inefficient for others. Everyone runs differently.
I notice that when I get tired my hands will have a habit of hitting my hips when my elbows are out and feel less fluid. Ithink it is one of those things that optimizes like 5-7%. Nothing to sneeze at but obviously some things are more important.
When I did cross country for the first time, I noticed this really slowed me down. Thank you
The first arm placement is the proper way for distance running where you can engage your core more effectively and the second position is the proper arm placement for sprinting or when a distance runner needs to ‘kick’ at the end of a run more effectively engaging the pec muscles…watch videos of distance runners vs sprinter to see this more clearly
I agree, I always run with a constant thumbs up, positivity is key!
This makes a huge difference. When I do speed work I concentrate on two things to stay fast. Arm carriage and cadence. I tell myself to stay compact and make sure my cadence stays around 200 steps a min.
Having the correct form and big arms (as my coaches call it) is really important for runners. It helps increase your stride length. And your arms tell you legs what to do. Swing them socket to pocket. From your shoulder all the way back to your back pocket. A lot of runners definitely forget this.🏃♀️🏃💪 And it really does help!
Would you say this tip is for speed runners or for jogging as well?
@@Yvaia It can also apply to joggers and long distance runners as well. I mostly do distance racing myself.
As a wise mam once said "Thumbs to the eye, elbows to the sky"
True 👍🏿 your hands work like propellers throwing you forward so your elbow should be close to your side to correct your posture
Title : running *TIPS*
Reality: only one *TIP*
Well since she has two elbows, wouldn't that be two tips?
It’s easier to spot the difference by observing her hands rather than the arms.
1st - hands going across and out
2nd - hands going down and back
Very noticeable difference. As a Nordic instructor elbows forward and back really helps with technique as well!!
Ok…so i ran cross country in high school and was taught to run with my arm out to the side with elbows slightly out and arms bent about 45 degree inward as it helps open up the lungs.
Basically, one the first one she swimgs her arms in an outwards motion. Now this is bad because you are using extra energy on this. You whould try to keep your arms into your body swinging forward and backwards, like a yo yo which she does in the second one. ❤
Someone didn't give kipchoge the message or any of the other top Kenyan or Ethiopians.
Bigger arm strokes for sprinters but for longer distances its about conserving energy.
I've been a runner All of my life and I run like the wind as WELL 💯 percent 👍
The first one is useful when you run, while beeing in dynamic circumstances it is less efficient for running a line (the green variant is recommended there), but better when you shift directions dynamical.
I use to have a habit of keeping my arms still on my side when I ran lol and everyone questioned me for it
I’ve been practicing running like the villain in Terminator 2 😂
From my personal experience it keeps the spine stable rather than twisting from left to right its really dangerous for the lower back, hurt myself doing that a year ago
Nothing gets you in a biomechanical rhythm like miles. Thanks for sharing your tips.
The correct way makes my front shoulders and arms feel heavy…constantly having to shake my hands out during the run…

Yeah, too many runners focus on looking pretty. There's no right or wrong it's all about what each person is comfortable with. When l am in a marathon and at mile 25 pretty doesn't help trust me. Get comfortable and you beast comes out!! Boston bound😊
From a runner for perfect form bend your arms at 90 degrees and move your arm forward and back while matching your right arm with your left leg and left arm with right leg
TOTTALY ME NOT GOING INTO MA SISTAR’S LANE IN CROSS COUNTRY LOL 😂😂 - love u sis
After taking in all these tips, the only useful running style I found for myself was just to keep my head up and shouldars square.
talkin about (relatively) unimportant arm position (you will see on a lot elite african pros) while showing how NOT to land your feet rotated inwards.
at least im not the only one who rotates his feet, welcome to the club 🎉
as long as you're good and not injuring yourself, you can run however you want
Yeah but running with your arms side to side is not efficient, it’s just wasted energy, it’s way more efficient having a forward arm swing
Simply Simple - If you are going ahead then See ahead and move your Body ahead 😂❤
Thanks❤😊
You have to hit that drum in case it doesn’t let you.
Step 1: hit the drum in the front
Step 2: always walk 30 steps if you need to walk (inquires speed walking)
Step 3: always keep away from anything dangerous when running
Step 4: never go near a fire or something burning because it could get in your eyes so you can’t see or it might not let you breath
Step 5: when finished with running or while running never ever ever breath in and out of your mouth. Always breath in from your nose and out your mouth.
That’s all the steps you have to do when running! Comment down below if you have anymore ideas for me to comment
Oh yes and click to button below!

That’s exactly how I run right now and I was just asking myself this morning “why do I come out of balance when I run?” Question answered, problem solved 😂
Бегать с серьёзным лицом-🚫, бегать с улыбкой-✅
We can run how we want
She's right guys also look at her hands how the thumbs are rested on top of the fingers that's the best way for your hands to rest of you don't know what to do with them.
Comments: talking about random stuff
Me: vibing to the music on replay 🤘
There are world -class runners who run in the first mode 😁
Oh my God, I didn’t see the difference for like 18 different times. I tried to look at it differently until I just saw it was the elbows, brother what
I am training to beat someone in cross country😬, do you have any ideas 💡 or tips for me to train???❤❤❤
I used to run like the first demonstration untill i found out it is bad! Now i am much faster and have a better core!
If you swing more side to side like that it's naturally going to move your body the same way
Главное любить бег, а совет друзей этому не мешает)))
run beautiful, greetings from Poland

Niech każdy biega , jak chce. Ramiona koryguje się ćwiczeniami, a nie głupimi uwagami.
i run while flailing my arms wildly, screaming in demon and chasing the closing living thing. Great exorcise
I'm overtrained. Now I'm sitting on the sidelines till I recover. One of the hardest things to do....stand still.
I completely understand you, I do some resting weeks not to overtrain, and that is the hardest part of my plan. One must rest, it's hard, but it's better if you do willingly than after your health stops you.
You are true runner I'm inspired by you
Hello, I am 45 years old, and my hobby is running. This video is very good, but I have a small request from you to help me with some techniques that help me more in not feeling tired. Thank you very much.
This Form video helped me with my form so much thank you
Děkuji moc jsem o hodně rychlejší
Io ci provo sempre nel mio canale! Grazie, sei di forte ispirazione ❤
Thanks bro I ran like a t-Rex 💀😭 and it’s my finals tomorrow 💀
Elbows back is more of a sprinting posture 👍
I agree with the arm moving outwards wastes a lot of of energy
No right or wrong way. Just run how you naturally do
Tyvm you helped me improve my running posture
I love the song After dark.
wooow there is great difference I have never observed this
Die Kraft muss nach vorne gehen
I thought it was the smile and the thumbs up that'll help you run better.😅
I'm from Russia (don't bully me for this) and I translated tips as "tips" in the sense of money
Running with smiles would be fun😊
좌우로 흔드는 팔꿈치는 곁에서 달리는 런너를 다치게 합니다.
Elbows in ,got it, thanks smijer
WOW I DID NOT KNOW THEIR WERE RUNING TIPS
Imagine a 6'4" 250 pound man running as a lightweight , you got me lol
How do you run such long distances without debilitating knee pain? Love running, did it much more when I was younger. As an awkward 6ft 1 white dude with extra long legs and a short torso, I feel like knee pain is inevitable.
Thanks for the tips❤

Just run in your natural motion. All body mechanics are different. Don’t overthink it
I subscribed but just for the running tips!
If you start sprinting training you'll feel the real difference
Running is best .I love running ❤❤❤❤
Me seeing the same thing no difference: alright *Writes on note pad*
The first the arms we’re going sideways the second they we’re going back and forth but I don’t run
The 1st technique is good for elbowing in the final meters
Thanks for advice
Didn't see a change but oh well
The shoulders were wrong at first , they were facing out way . Then she made them face her waist
@Pranay Mahela its not “wOmEn” , its ur eyes fix them
Ima still run how I want🤣
Doing it wrong ❎
Doing it right ✅
I think she tried showing don't waste energy swinging your arms instead try and keep them at a slower movement but I think it's all about your comfortable form
Also don’t keep ur hands in fists , make them robot arms so u are faster
I run the first way and I bend forward and crouch low so as to catch myself from falling. I reach top speed faster and I get winded less and I don't feel aches and pains after.
Ellipticals help with learning the correct motion
I didn’t know this, until I turned 50 in a CrossFit class. Maybe to late 😁
It took me a while to not swing left to right but I eventually got it
Thanks for telling me that because I am in cross country and I am in 7TH PLACE
If you don’t see a difference, look at her hands instead of her elbows.
Nice run. Very fit.
No ,difference is she just started smiling
So we need to smile while we running
Fantastic Run ❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you didn't notice the change. The red arrows turn green. Thank me later
As my physical education teacher says, “the arms along the body, not play drum.”
And yes the first running method is wrong because lateral motion doesn’t transfer to forward motion and it comprises your momentum and running economy.
