Glad to see everyone is back from Japan and doing well, Daisuke! How was that "Royale with cheese"? "Now THAT IS a tasty burger!" Thank you for sharing the exciting moment that exists when opening new packages containing movie goodies! I think the inedible cheese doodles or bubble wrapping is always part of the fun too. You mentioned and showed so many cool titles for me to take mental note of yet again. Your enthusiasm and stories for a lot of the movies you showed gave me so much food for thought. There is much to be said about Star Wars Episode 1 but I actually love your shirt with Anakin! That gave me a great chuckle to see him on the back. It was so cool to see all the Argento works you acquired because I was very recently introduced to Dario Argento by a dear friend. I watched Deep Red, Suspira and Tenebrae for the first time and right now I can just say I'm scarred for life in that good old fashioned cinematic way! There is so much to say on that front but I am excited to see other works by this man in my lifetime! It was awesome to hear you mention the film Monkey Shines in passing during this video. I remember that film from childhood quite well. I've not seen a lot of Orson Welles works but I heard a quote from him recently talking about his offense to "the homage" in cinema. It was an interesting quote. Speaking of cinematic figureheads, did you hear the recent news about David Lynch and his emphysema limiting his ability to walk long distances or even leave his home? Devastating news and I hope he is still able to remotely direct or make another project in his lifetime. Thank you again for the update and the Summertime well wishes. Even though I am no longer in school, I get sad thinking about that time of year when Summer is coming to an end and it's back to the books. May there be many more opportunities for fun before the season ends for you and your family to enjoy together.
