If Man City were to lose their next 2 games Arsenal would still choke.
City need just 2 points....and the jobe it s done...! Simple?City 20 golassso different between City and Arsenal....!!
100%
We just need 2 pts. mathematically
Exactly 😂 i mean City are winning the league next weekend
City will win the title without even kicking a ball imo. Forest 2-1 arsenal on Saturday.
Martin keown had a go at Everton fans for leaving early when we were 4-0 down at home to Newcastle, after watching us win FOUR home games all season and absolutely stink the gaff out, on the brink of relegation, so that’s out of order Martin but it’s perfectly fine for arsenal fans to walk out despite them having their best league season for near on 20 years, makes sense👍🏻
Of course it doesn’t make sense.. it’s Martin keown
Seeing how empty the Emirates was come the final whistle, it's easy to see why nobody else wanted to see Arsenal win the title. They have, and have always had, the most fickle fans in the history of football.
It's not fickle. When the club have dished up the same mediocre merry-go-round for 20 years they are right in walking out.
The best season arsenal have had in 20 years (premier league wise) and 75% of the stadium leaves way before the final whistle. Disgraceful, spoilt fan base
Best season in like 20 years and their fans walk out on them. Disgraceful lol.
Arsenal fans are comedy gold 🥇 🤡 s
This is a lie. We have had better seasons in which we won trophies
The players and the cone apprentice manager deserved it
How can you still sit down and watch a disgrace performances from the team yesterday.
I suppose the actions of the fans
@@corneliuskeagon8720 you were so close to winning your first premier league title in 19 years. On the edge of a huge milestone for your club. You’re seriously going to tell me that one of those FA Cup winning seasons with mediocre league performances compares to being within arms reach of Premier League glory against the best club in Europe? Thats like saying Spurs winning the League Cup 15 years ago is better than getting to Champions League Final. Hilarious logic. Telling me that I’m lying is just copium. And any rate, the least those fans could do was show some appreciation for the efforts across the whole season and support them until the very end of the game.
I thought it was strange that they left early. Seemed a bit sulky. Arsenal have had a great season. Be grateful and keep supporting.
Exactly 💯
Be grateful? They pay to be there? The players should be the grateful ones not the other way round. I understand it’s a good thing to be there in bad times but the fans are the ones losing more here, this whole thing about how fans should be grateful for what players do is odd
Poor supporters
Winning nothing is not a great season
Be grateful for what? Bottling another league title? Fans have every right to leave if they want to, its their money, they get absolutely nothing out of being there til the end of the game, the game was done and brighton scored again
Some Arsenal fans are entitled. They think that just because they're Arsenal supporters, success is owed to them. They're always ready to turn on the team as soon as it's going against them
This is so true, this is why I can't stand them
When on a winning run, you have entitlements to keep winning, stop winning and supporters don't have entitlements any more hence the turning against ... the turning against is because they lose to reams they should not at a time the should not ,even a draw would keep the funs at the stadium.
When you've seen the same merry-go-round for 20 years they are kinda justified in doing that.
Dusted club
Every season we crumble at the last minute, last season was top 4 this season was for the title, there's definitely improvement but it feels like the same mentality is there
You just described every successful sports team ever.
I love the mental gymnastics from Martin.
"it's London, you always get people leaving early to catch the tube, to get home".
C'MON MATE!!! THEY LEFT AFTER THEY CONCEDED!!!
It'd be understandable if it were like 6-7 thousand around minute 90 and extra time (happens at other grounds), but you're right they started leaving in droves around min 87, I'm certain the stadium was half empty by minute 88.
@A W Fan it wasn't half empty but it was noticeable how many people had left. But a large majority did stay for sure
Ya, it was a Sunday afternoon, not like its at night, not 5-10 min early. I'm sure it's just that they were emotional, it hit home that the chance to win the title is absolutely gone, but for mathematically now. Frustrated, depressed, whatever, it was just to much clearly
@@awfan221 your complaint about a few minds extra. Sometimes fans leave at half time, spurs, Newcastle come to mind, plenty more
Well spoken Simon. Footballers are paid insanely high wages to entertain. If they don't entertain, and even seem not to care, then it's perfectly reasonable to vote with your feet and walk out. Keown's excuse for criticising Everton fans, whilst being muted in his criticism of Arsenal fans is pathetic.
Rubbish. You don't need fans to play the game so it's nowhere near first about entertaining a self-entitled 3rd party.
Arsenal attempted nothing... Brighton have beaten the traditional top 5 team comfortably... United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham. This is coming from a United fan
Martin might be the worst pundit going.

Massive apology to Gary Neville is needed.
Why? Most people including myself thought city would win the title
Most of the season I was willing Arsenal on to win the league.
But as the season went on the fans were becoming unbearable so was hoping for City to humble them
Haha that’s fair. Out of curiosity, what club do you support. Man U?
@@Tennisfiles Newcastle.
This won’t humble them.
@@jezcorrigan651 nice m8. Well deserved top 4, enjoy CL. Thanks for helping us last year ;)
What did the Arsenal fans do which you found so unbearable?
Only a few months ago Arsenal fans were singing " we're gonna win the league"
😂
Arsenal fans have never sang this. We've sang "We are top of the league" not once did we sing we're gonna win it
So? They were top at the time so what's your point?
I can't believe Keown used to be a hard man. Christ, what a baby
Woke keown
He's only tough when he wants to jump all over Van Nistolroy. He'd wet himself at the thought of doing the same to the likes of Roy Keane. Great player but pansy pundit!
Just because he used to go into challenges a bit heavy in a world of pre Madonna footballers doesn’t make him “hard” he never was. I’d of like to of seen him carry that same energy in a local pub you’d soon find out how game he is
True say. I'd fancy myself in a boxing match against 'hard man' Keown.
I am a City fan and I think Arsenal have had an amazing season. Coming second may be disappointing but it took hard work and dedication to get there. At least give them credit for coming so far and leading most of the season.
Yeah but they were first n led by as many as 8 n we could end up winning it by 5+ pts - that’s banana 🍌 nuts 🥜
It’s not like we City were leading all the time n Arsenal just ended 2ND 🥈
Being a nice City 🌃 is cool but they definitely screwed up n don’t b 2 nice 👍 as 1 month ago they were mocking us n saying they already won the PL 🏆
Literally UTD had a better season‼️
You get nothing for second.

Don't worry arsenal fans when citeh gets stripped of this title for cheating and breaking ffp on an industrial scale you will be awarded this title so dry them.tears 😢😢😢😢😢😢😅😅😅😅😅
What do you expect really when the team completely and utterly bottled it
Except for Reiss Nelson and Odegaard, the players looked like they didn’t care enough to bother trying to string passes together, press effectively, or make themselves available when off the ball.
There was no evidence to suggest that they had anything left to give that would have resulted in any kind of comeback.
The players were to blame today and the fans paid a lot of money to watch that half-hearted display. They’re well within their rights to leave early.
It's the best season for a long while now, they deserve a little love they tried , coming from a United fan.
100% agreed
This rhetoric that Arsenal fans should stay at the stadium when losing is a pretty dumb take for me. I applaud those fans for walking out, why should they be subjected to such a disgraceful display. People paid hard money to come and watch this. I would have done the same if I was there yesterday. You cannot be leading for a substantial amount of the season and you come up short. Another saying I'm fed up of hearing is "ThIs Is A yOuNg SqUaD". That's not going to wash. They have shown time and time again that they shoot themselves in the foot when it's crunch time.
I really hate people in media that rarely pay for tickets telling fans how they should support their team, shut up Jim
Can sort of understand it with the score being 3-0 but personally I would always stay- funny how in the Southampton game fans left at 3-1 and were rushing back in once arsenal had equalised - game is always worth staying to watch.
They were leaving at 1-0 tbf
Started leaving at 0-1, and then half of them got up and left when Undav scored.
The fans are not duty-bound to do anything. It is not a hostage situation, they are allowed to leave if there is nothing more to see.
Exactly, the fan sensed a team that gave up so they left. If they sensed a team that was doing everything to keep this alive they would've stayed.
The team choked and the fans had enough. Can’t blame them, they’ve been incredible all season but yesterday was the end of the line. Bring on next season.
If I were a gooner, I would have left early too…. 2nd in the league with still a small chance of getting the title, they perform like that at home in such a crucial game …. 😮
Gotta stay with your team thru thick & thin
Embarrassing from Arsenal fans.
Bit disappointed to hear they left after the season of highs they've had, I'm a Liverpool fan imagine us leaving after having such a good season, the player's deserve better
They choked an opportunity majority of those player won’t ever get again, piss poor ending to the season, just a fact, not that they’ve lost it, they’ve completely just buckled, even some of the managing decisions have been poor imo
@@New-ye2fl nobody thought at the start of the season you's would even make top 4, we had a bad season and still ye don't see the fans walking out it's sad for the player's
@@New-ye2fl and you completely gloss over the fact that Arsenal being 2nd is an excellent achievement. Not a single arsenal fan expected them to be currently 2nd before a ball was kicked this season.
Its not a good season. How the mighty have fallen if you think a season with no trophy is a good season
@@docholiday-lm4vf when was the last time they had champions league football stop being silly
As an Arsenal fan, it was poor from those fans that left because of the game. We were terrible yesterday but overall all season we've been excellent. If I was there I would have 100% stayed
“If I was there” 😂

They paid for the ticket & after that display had a right to leave early..
Mate you didnt even go and you're taking. Go to bed and shut up😂😂
@@NoodlesTBograt hence why a fan has a million percent of their right to walk out at anytime.. I'll do the same
I don’t blame fans . They just showed their frustration
City is like the Jaguar when they go for the hunt. Their eyes always on the next prey
But Arsenal is like a Rabbit: running fast at the start, then they got tired
👏
Dont let me hear Arsenal dont have depth when they only play 1 per week
They looked tired out ,no cover for key players that could have been benched in all honesty
they need 3 obvious replacements & while you are about it buy 3 more as cover ,Cover is key
Gundogan & Silva arent key names on peoples lips its Haaland & KDB ,But Gundo & Bernie are bloody heroes
That is the sinplest, & worst analogy ever!
@@eavyeavy2864 they were in uel you muppet. Ntm they got blown the worst by replay with queen's death. Of course they don't have the depth, have you seen the man city squad, people have jokingly said for years they have the 2 best teams in the league
@@mcfcguvnors gundogan has just done exactly what he did last year: lie dormant the whole season, he's just died their last 5/6 goals. People call Joseph an idiot for rotating/ tinkering, but you need to, its how you keep the legs of all the players fresh
Arsenal fans didn't feel like singing that completely pathetic 'we got super Mikel Arteta!! He is exactly what we need'...honestly..beyond embarrassing it really is.
In these times of extra focus on mental health one has to consider how utterly dejected & gutted the Arsenal fans must’ve felt. And if they’d stayed after the second goal they would’ve seen the third and felt even worse! The game was gone & their presence in the ground would’ve made no difference whatsoever. I have admiration for all the fans who stayed to the end but completely understand those who didn’t.
The sight of all those Arsenal fans leaving the Emptyrates stadium got me thinking that even rats would wait longer to leave a sinking ship. But I guess all that emotion (bottling) inside got the better of them
They pay their hard earned money so they can do what they feel is best, especially when they feel they're not getting value for their money. Simple as.
Thank you!!! I don't blame any fan for doing that
Can we just acknowledge that arsenal tickets are expensive af
Individual fans can arrive and leave at whatever time they want. They've paid the money and can decide they've had enough or decide to stay until well past full time. We talk about the mental aspect of players and managers alot but there is a mental aspect for fans as well. Fans should not feel that they are forced to sit and watch a situation that could potentially be making them feel in a negative way and if someone decided to leave then that's their choice.
Personally I always prefer to get into the stadium early and never leave before the final whistle but that's my personal choice. If my team was 5-0 down at half time for example and I had a 3 hour journey to get home I might call it but it all comes down to individual circumstance.
The job of the fans is to sit and cheer the players on, transmit their energy and give the players reason to push on, there’s a reason home games are seen as an advantage.
Shut uppppp
Tell us you don't go to games without telling us
Libby it's the job of the players to give the fans something to cheer them for, it could be a good tackle, or a near miss or a goal, they are the ones getting paid, they should always be up for it, it shouldn't take the fans singing or shouting to do that,
Exactly ,some people maybe had to go to work etc ,ive sat there on me tod & been asked to leave b4 now :D i want me moneys worth ,plus i get to leave in peace & all the hassle & pushing is over
Liverpool have been at least pushing this city side to the very end. The times they finished second were lost by a pt and very exciting races.
Stay classy Arsenal fans
They'd have stayed if it wasn't for the ammount they spent on those tickets. People had to pay £20k just to get in. These last games are way,way too expensive. The players absoutely bottled it. Why do the fans need to stay when they see the players give up ? The players gave up at 0-0, let alone 2-0. This wasn't Bournemouth or Villa. This was literally the players distracted by man shittys results rather than looking at their own results and improving.
@@sloht4061 lol what are you on about, £20k?
@@sloht4061 20k for a ticket? Yeah not sure about that one mate😂
@@bluesEvanskro Think you should go a see how muh the end of season game is going for.
@@BlackBeltNob Go on google with your fingers and have a look. The end of season game is around £35,000 from resellers. The US tour, pre season tour, is around £2k per ticket. Everyone thought this would go down to the wire so the last 3 games have been a nuts amount of money.
@Talksport, PLEASE DO NOT RENEW MARTIN KEOWN CONTRACT
Like crying Mancs leaving Anfield this season at halftime 😂
That’s different. We were getting humiliated by our biggest rival.
fans gave the players as much class, as they received from the players...... this team simply doesn't have the mentality to compete with best teams
We had our heart's broken, again, and it was 3-0; not some last minute goal to snatch the match.
We were thoroughly outplayed in such an important game and I think that hurt more than anything. Everyone knew the stakes before kick-off and we were getting trashed on our home turf. You can't expect some people to not walk out when we get our ass-kicked in such an important match. It hurt.
The fact is most teams have smaller squads the City, Arsenal will have Europe next season so that’s more games with regular midweek games. Arsenal have run out of steam a little but their progress is fantastic. Considering the fact that Brighton had about 10 squad players out they have little choice of rotation their performances have been 1st rate.
Smaller squads numerically, or strength wise? Numerically, City has one of the 3 smallest first team squads in the league. In terms of bench strength though, yea City (and Chelsea on paper) have the best strength.
Sir Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber ✊
Agreed too lad proper clobber
lets be honest - Arsenal v Brighton was a battle of the Libraries... really quite fans....always leave early...
Every team has fans leaving early when losing 3-0 why the hell is there a conversation when it happens at the emirates
Exactly!
Because they hate Arsenal. We've had a great season. Disappointed to lose out for sure. But we will be back stronger.
because fans dont leave in MASSIVE amounts and not after having a wonderful season. This was when the fans were needed most... it wasnt a one off random game... it was Arsenal's title run coming to an end and they should have supported their team.
The difference is that Keown was part of a side that capitulated several times. The Manchester United side of the times, never, ever gave up - Arsenal were always known to be end of season bottlers.
What ? XD Keown won multiple titles with Arsenal and United literally paid off referees during the 90s to early 2000s. It's not like "Fergie time" is just a euphemism.
Like when united bottled a 12 point lead in 98 ? Bookies had already paid and they bottled or when United bottled the game at Old Trafford that Arsenal beat them in to win the league ? Even in 95 when Blackburn won the league united only had to win the last game of the season to be champions....they drew
But nothing like a good story....no doubt you were saying United were in the title race in January, bottled
@@sloht4061 multiple? how many?btw G Neville has 8 but apparently doesn't know what he's talking about according to Arsenal fans

That was disgraceful, sad and stupid. Seeing them leaving broke my heart and make me conclude that they too entitled and ungrateful
no not really might have to get out early to beat traffic or whatever
sums that lot up... islington prawn sarnie brigade
50% of so called Arsenal fans that attend premiership games at the emirates are tourist fans = when the going gets tough, the entitled tend to give up and show no loyality & fight and leave (they will finish 2 nd in the prem) = poor showing + look at how many arsenal fans showed up at the FA youth cup final when the tickets were free = very little (seeing it was a home game) compared to us + hardly any vocal support.
Attempting at 86mins 😂 now that would be some miracle
Best football show in the world bay none. Great interaction amongst the three of them.
Why does he need to win a trophy? I'm a lifelong arsenal fan. We have won a record amount of FA cups. Since our run of FA cup wins from 2013 we have never kicked on in the league or been competitive. Reality for me as an arsenal fan is this is the most engaged and the most excited I've been as an arsenal fan since 2007/2008 period. Yes we ran out of steam over the last few weeks but the players can hold their heads high they gave us hope this year and it was a rollercoaster of last minute winners and amazing performances against the top 6 home and away which is something we have been criticised for in recent years our performances against the big teams.
Love it. Simon hates giving any credit to Martin and Martin nonchalantly just smirks at him and White
I guess people were upset cause of what they have seen, how arsenal have fallen short time and again but as a supporter you have to be there for the good and bad times so it's 60.40
Arsenal fans have previous this season, they also left the FA Youth Cup final early.
What a way to support your kids.
Mate fans have been doing this since football existed.
You could just feel Arsenal were 2nd best the whole game; it was like they were just going through the motions. At moments like that you need leaders to step up and re energize the squad. For example KDB drilling that ball past Courtois when cities heads had started to go down at 0-1 at the Bernabeu. The problem is they haven't really got that type of experienced leader yet. It was quite shocking to see fans walking out though.
I think it’s true . Arteta , pupil of Guardiola, is a good student , but he has only plan A . Never plan B , let alone plan C. Arteta hasn’t got a lot of capabilities to change tactics during the game . During the last games he looked deflated and literally without ideas. The Arsenal squad has quality but they are not yet near the level of city players .
@@wengelder9256 True, that's why Everton were able to beat Brighton by countering them and being adaptive, but Arteta has 1 plan like you said and Brighton just out worked them and put them out of their misery in the end. Next season will be exciting for sure.
What is this? How can anyone at talksport deny their station dislikes Arsenal after bringing this up, people leave early when 3-0 up or down, all of the time. Nothing is said.
Yes it is disgraceful but the performance of the team yesterday was equally disgraceful. Until the mentality of the fans and the team change we will never win anything.
To all the fans that walked out after such a great effort this season...you might as well keep on walking over to White Hart Lane. We don't want you if you are gonna be like that. They may not have had the best game, may not have performed at 100%, but they are our lads, and for the majority of the season they have dug in, ground it out and played their hearts out. Nobody can deny that, regardless of if they were ultimately good enough or had a big enough squad (which unfortunately we weren't and didn't have) That means more to real fans than anything. And no lie, the players deserved more respect than that for the heart they've showed this season. This is the proudest I've been of Arsenal since the Invincibles, and in some ways even prouder because we were never expected to go this close. Those lads may not have won the league, but they have won my heart back this season because we could all see how much they tried and how they never gave up. Thats all we want to see as fans, to bleed for the shirt, to give everything you can, and they have done this year. Or have you forgotten some of the previous lacklustre players and teams from the last 15 years? Nobody could say that any of our players were coasting this year. They all gave it all, regardless of their ability. You lads who walked should be embarrassed to let your team down like that when they need you the most and left everything they had out there for you. We're all hurting, but there was no need to walk, and they didn't deserve that from you. If you even think of walking, why bother singing the song at the start. OUR HEARTS, WILL LEAVE YOU NEVER, MY BLOOD WILL FOREVER, RUN THROUGH THE STONE!
Publisher should put Martin picture next to the word Hypocritic in dictionary to define that word
They've paid the money to go and should be able to leave when they want.
It's awfully difficult for the Tarquin's, Jocelyn's and Hector's to get to the numerous tube stations within a 15 min walk from the Emirates stadium. Please have some consideration for the poor souls. 😭
How can Martin seriously pretend that fans always leave early? There was hardly anyone there near the end on Sunday.
I agree with both
I was at the game and we left after the 3rd goal. Many more had left after the 2nd. The disappointment was crushing. Should we have left? Maybe not but it seemed to physically hurt staying there as ridiculous as that sounds
Sounds like the Arsenal fans and players are perfect for each other. Aren't these the same players who were being dragged through the mud very recently for ignoring their fans? Now the fans drag ass as soon as things go south.
Ive not been to the Emirates . Is it as bad as some stadiums travel wise ? etihad is a nitemare due to public transport & choke points
It's funny how fans leaving early to beat the traffic are the same fans who stay to the final whistle when their winning with the same traffic, I would support my tea to the end and not ant to miss a goal or even an amazing goal
That’s the face of fans now, how can you walk out of the stadium at home ? With the season the team has had, everyone to there own I will never walk out of my team. In the same token we expect professionalism from players even when they are not playing or running out of contract
Wasn't that a Sunday night evening kick off? If you've got a 2-3 hour journey and work / school the next morning then leaving early when your side is getting humped isn't that surprising. Season ticket holders especially, where going to matches is such a regular thing, I don't see it as anything shocking.
I thought the energy levels were surprising low for both arsenal players and fans. Stadium was very quiet.
I’ve gone to many games this season and would agree. The ground felt deflated after that City result.
I personally stayed until the final whistle but I do not blame anyone who left once the second goal went in, it was a painful watch throughout & the game was gone at 2-0.
Proud of the boys regardless and I firmly believe they’ll be back with the right additions this summer
Simon “a good fight is one you win not one you put up”
Martin “playerrs pley tew many gaems these deyz”
Simon “statistics are the beginning of the conversation not the end”
Simon “show me a man who failed and I’ll show you one who never tried”
The players let paying fans down year on year.. Arsenal do this in a fashion that can lead to depression.. so I don’t see anything wrong with fans walking out at that point.. we had this title in our hands and literally rubbished it in front of our eyes .. f em and onto the transfer window now
i very rarely go to arsenal games but when i do no matter the score i will always stay till the end thats just me
I thought that was lee gunner when I saw Lee's name popped on
leaving the stadium early, seriously... after the season theyve had, their fans walk out early 🤦♂️🤦♂️
seems logical the game was basically lost and many felt really disappointed.. leaving early one game in the entire season doesn't immediately mean you no longer support the club, just nonsense logic
Why is there a debate on how supporters should feel and behave? Its an entertainment industry, the supporters pay money to watch.
You dont have to sit through a crappy movie, why would you tell the supporters they have to behave a certain way?
They are dissapointed, they dont want to sit through and watch the dissapointment. They pay their money, they can do what they want.
Lots of clubs do it not just Arsenal
Not very classy from the Arsenal fans. They should be happy that the team and Arteta gave them a way above par season! It smacked of a protest when praise and a show of loyalty was in order.
Funny they didn’t leave early against Bournemouth or Southampton. 20 years of failure.
Love the profile pic bro! We ❤ Lampard
Yes it is …. Games gone at the top level it’s boring and for tourists
They leave early so they don't have to queue for 40 minutes for the tube.
When the empty noise, tongue engaged before brain mentality and communal idiocy that passes for public opinion today has dissipated, respect has to be given to Arsenal for stepping up this season and challenging City going into the last month of the season when everyone else couldn't even challenge for two weeks. Well done gunners for refusing to let the so-called best league in the world turn into the French league this season, you gave it your best shot but your youth and business end of season naivety caught up with you and to still have a mathematical chance in mid-May is a fantastic effort. Spurs fan.
Why didn't they leave when they were losing to Southampton? Once they realize the title is likely over, they left. Embarrassing for a 2nd placed team to have that sort of exodus.
Yeah of course it is. All season arsenal fans have said that they’re just enjoying where they are and aren’t expecting to win the league etc. now they’ve choked it, whys is there any point in leaving
Those fans paid a lot of money to watch a below par game from Arsenal they did not wreck the stadium they voted with their feet.
totally disgraceful and brutal. Fans should be there win or lose and clap back at their players even when they fall down.
I think it was poor showing, stick around to the end. I think that's the difference between a fan and a supporter, the fan leaves, the supporter stays
It was disappointing people get emotionally evolved and they left early makes sense what is the story here?
Yeah it's fucking disgusting tbh. I'm an arsenal fan and live in Wales, don't get to many games! I'd have loved to have been there even though we lost, because for the first time in years we've actually got a team worth getting behind, no bad attitudes and great football. After what they have done this year they deserve our support. We were there when we were top so support them now the fell short. The team is young and will only get better. Don't support the team when they win if you can't when we lose. It's embarrassing
Brighton 😮
Best fans in the Prem is easily Forest fans
Arsenal fans leaving was just insane. So now you think you are too good for a second place finish?!
Absolutely disgusting stuff !!!
‘On Jim’s show’ lol
Martin is absolutely clueless
