“I’m into boxing your into listening to crowds” 🤣🤣🤣 belter
Exactly if you're problem is the crowd when we are getting the big fights you got issues
To be fair these fights started at 12am-3am Sunday morning which by our standards is 12am-3am Monday as saudi weekend is FridayS-Saturday. The crowd got smaller from first few fights till the main event which is other way round but makes sense as people have work next day. Sure atmosphere won't be mega, Saudi's love WWE which is their national 'combat' sport not boxing.
Growing up there was always goosebumps for big Vegas fights and last few years at the O2 and the atmosphere and crowd played a big part in that which Frank is aware of. Money talks though so Frank denies it.
@@Craigyboi01 It is a problem. There's no excitement at these fights.
@@d.b.cooper1 I doubt most of the locals in attendance were hard working labourers...
Elephant in the room. The crowd weren’t pissed up or coked off their face. Hence completely different atmosphere
That’s about right
Valid point
True to some degree but British people are just a lot more rowdy than Saudis who would send a glass eye to sleep 😂 give me the rowdy Brit’s any day for a big fight 👍
Talk sport ain’t daft they no the reasons. Simon is paid to rattle frank it’s good for the viewers
Conor was coked out of his ever loving mind! 🤣
Atmosphere was shite. Can’t compete with Wembley
Glad the lads picked on this
So what if it was? 😂😂😂
Of course not, it's a completely different culture. There isn't Alcohol allowed in Saudi. Sports/Concerts etc...& Booze go hand in hand.
No you could hear a pin drop at certain times. Was awfully quiet because they are not like english or American fans who watch boxing on a regular basis. Frank is very argumentative & wont let anybody make negative criticism. Needs to calm down
He really cannot take criticism at all can he! Proper trait of a narcissist
Who cares about the audience. We got a great night of boxing
Well mannered = charmless.
What exactly do you expect frank to do about it???
These Saudi events look pretty to the eye and they have created a positive impact in some aspects, we would have never seen Eddie and Frank working together had it not been for this middle eastern money, but yes the lack of crowd atmosphere is a big problem in combat sports where it goes hand in hand, it’s the crowd that gives it that big time feeling and can even influence how fighters fight in the ring, there were times in that big Saudi event where you could hear a pin drop even in the wilder and Joshua fights, it definitely is a problem but with so much money flying around out there I don’t see anyone complaining about it.
Why is the british media always so overly pessimistic, critical, negative, whiny and entitled?
They have been allowed to get away with it! Thats why! The 2 English muffins here are a typical example of that!
to be fair there was no atmosphere .... there's no excitement .....
You can hear the punches landing better
Because if you don’t how are you ment to try and improve certain things
Entitled is the wrong word nobody thinks there entitled
Sport is just a big thing in the uk especially boxing and football

Didn't bother me watching on TV didn't even notice
I could be wrong but I don't think you can get a beer in Saudi so the atmosphere ain't gonna be as good,😂😂😂

It was quiet to watch, undeniably. There wasn’t the stadium excitement you’d feel viscerally when watching a fight on tv that’s broadcast from the York Hall, the MEN, O2, Madison Sq Garden, Vegas, or Wembley. But having said that it will take time. Those arenas all have years of history and experience. The Saudis need to be applauded for what they’ve achieved. TalkSport (or rather Simon and Jim), are there to stir, be contrary and find fault, as opposed to complementary, as per. Overall it was a quality card from top to bottom and the atmosphere is understandably a work in progress, which can improve over time.
O2 years of history 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. It’s the fans what you on?
Cretin. The fans create the atmosphere. And yeah, the O2. Years of history? I want a drag of what you've got in your pipe.
It feels like Simon only looks for the negative in something rather than both positive and negative. Is he miserable or just british?
Nonsense!
He is there to challenge Warren
Probably a British thing 😂. I personally don't massively care about atmosphere if we're getting the fights we want to see
I think the atmosphere is a worthy criticism as I think you'd get more noise out a dentist waiting room. It's not the end of the world but a good atmosphere does add to the viewing experience from home
@@Dukestboy96we could be toxicly positive like the Americans and live in a delusion but we prefer reality.

The night Furys resume took a kicking without even fighting.

I love that Frank and Eddie are finally seeing that IFL and Talksport just bring negativity and gossip girl storylines that damage the sport
Fair but let’s be honest Frank and Eddie have been negative with each other for many many years refused to work with eachother until the Saudis arrived.
How sensitive...the second they receive pushback or an alternative view...they start crying 🤣The atmosphere was rubbish - fact
Frank and Eddie to the self proclaimed best boxing promotors in the world and can’t get fury and Joshua to fight eachother for about 5 years. Money grabbing bastards
They want lunatics in the crowd. 😂😂😂

They all went to watch wilder… wasn’t bothered about aj
@@chrisbax760And now no one gives af about Wilder😂😂
@@chrisbax760 no it was reall empty at the wilder fight
@@Barnzy213 very true 😂
I think Frank is 100% correct this time. It seems like these jokers are just looking to create a reaction from Frank and picking at things just to spark things up. The event was great, maybe the atmosphere wasn't the best at times but that always happens in the early fights on almost all undercards. The main events were great with the crowd really vocal. This is such a moot point and is a clear effort to find any old thing to get a reaction from Frank.
Absolutely agree !! No wonder people are starting to ignore talk sport
Moot* point. But I agree. It annoys me on boxing and even ufc events that most people just ignore the early fights. It's half empty up until the main card starts and the front seats only seem to fill up for the last 2 or 3 fights.
Can we not just be thankful we now get fights in our time zone, we will make our own atmosphere down the pub with no lock in required 🍻
The atmosphere was utter garbage from start to finish. Sounded like Boxing in a cemetary. Boring.
Two good points Frank made was the crowd is neutral and some fighters are not well known.. Remeber this is a boxing start for the Saudis.. Atmosphere will get better as the people get familiar with boxing and fighters
I dont remember SJ predicting Parker to beat Wilder ; sounds like more arsekissing from Jim
Atmosphere was crap watching from home no wonder Wilder couldn't get going he looked asleep. Great card but the atmosphere was strange
That will be his next excuse I'm sure......
Wilders trash that's the only reason he couldn't get in to the fight.stop pretending he was good because he never was.
No wilder just faced the 2nd top boxer of his career. Instead of opponents ranking hundreds of places lower than him
The atmosphere in my living room was tremendous because I was focussed on the boxing and a great card.

the Tyson v Ngannou atmosphere didn't seem so bad but watch Queensberrys 2023 wrap up, the difference between the atmosphere at the Beterbiev v Yarde fight and AJ v Wallin fight was massive, It was like a library and that qas the main event, you could hear a few people wailing Oh Anthony Joshua somewhere at the back and that's about it. they just have a different idea of sport there, it's all about paying to get VIP celebrities to be seen in the front row, no one cares if Ronaldo is there
Maybe a bit of it was due to Christmas, just a thought
@@babyamy3884 in a Muslim country? maybe the ex pats went home for Christmas or people who would have travelled didn't wqnt to so close to Christmas , unfortunately half the atmosphere at UK fights is because of alcohol and that probably won't happen in Saudi but if these events are to help push tourism then not sure what the idea is
I think it was a really bad date for it in terms of getting tourists to the fight.
Err what? Fury vs Ngannou was awful 😅
Eventually the paying viewers will ask these questions. Crowds make a big difference
100% the atmosphere was shite. Bring it back to Wembley. These promotors dropped the ball with AJ wilder, they should have fought on the 23rd. It’s too late now.
U can feel the atmosphere through the TV when its mental, its great and adds to the experience.
Why not just say "You"?.
Lack of atmosphere is down to no booze. Imagine that card in a UK stadium.
Yep alcohol creates noise.
Do you think people would attend the darts let alone be rowdy if it was alcohol free.
And probably because most people cannot afford to go all over there and pay mad oil prices
Nonsense, good atmosphere in Qatar World Cup for example.
Quiet atmosphere in Japan also for boxing where alcohol is permitted
you cant have that card without the sauidi money though

Are people forgetting that Wilder was being outboxed by low level opposition like Szpillka and Gerald Washington before he koed them?
And Molina 😂
And Oritiz (in the 2nd fight)
Exactly! Wilder avoided ranked contenders for a reason including having a unification with Parker! Also if you watch Wilders fight against Parker he constantly tries to rabbit punch Parker which is a running theme for Wilder
Its amazing that Joshua needed 3 tune ups because he "wasn't ready" to fight him, isnt it? 😂

Its all the sports in Saudi Arabia...watch 5 minutes of their football league...
You wouldn't get that card in the UK as it would cost too much.
Frank Warren has got the patience of a saint talking to those two. 🙄
Simon and Jim making a massive deal out of the atmosphere, Simon isn’t happen unless he’s arguing with someone.
Simon who's meant to be a massive boxing fan I still don't get why he just constantly pulls it down.
I can't stand this prick
Every boxing fan is saying the Atmosphere in Saudi is trash...and it is...
He likes to be upset about something
Frank is correct, Jordan is being his negative self
Jordan has a point about the atmosphere, but he thinks he's the patron Saint of nitpicking. Proper negative guy.
Great event, well done for putting this together and cant wait for whats to come!
It was like lockdown fights in Hearns back garden
I watched it. There were 💯 empty seats and you coule hear the echoes in the arena for all the fights. Maybe it's just me. What did everyone else think?
They had to put down wilder as being finished to prop up Fury’s biggest name on his resume outside of Klitchko. In actual fact, Wilder has always been like this.
You're 100 percent correct
Absolutely correct
Wow you're smart
Wilder has always walked around the ring, backwards, thrown next to no right hands, looked old, not engaged remotely and turned up for a payday?
Such a stupid comment. I concur wilder never had a vast amount of boxing skill, but he had speed, concussive, unorthodox power and a semi decent jab.
Most of the top 100 could do what wilder did against Parker. Let's not let agendas get in the way of facts. Wilder is shot to pieces
@@mikeh5656 I hear ya. That was just a poor strategy from wilder. Later when he started to be the ‘old wilder’ it looked more likely he could land a good shot. That said he’s a poor boxer that has cherry picked to the title. He only fought fury the first time because he thought he was finished having seen his performances leading up. Wilder is rubbish. Any decent boxer would beat him. Even at this best. The only decent boxer he ever fought before fury was Ortiz and he was bloody 78 years old.
At least we are getting to see some big fights now.
I totally agree with Frankie boy here. I rather watch fights than what the crowd are doing. We have been crying out loud for some time now that big fights are not being made and the Best are not fighting the Best . The Saudi's are investing a lot of money into getting Big fights and the Best fighting the Best and we have talk sport being critical of this ? I just do not get it ? Surely due to the Saudi investment they are entitled where the fights take place ?
Come on the scraps in the crowds at York hall make the night.
It's a bit pathetic in multiple ways tho...1. The only way boxing can actually get the best to fight each other is a Dictatorship bribing them? A place where forced marriage was legal and women were only allowed to vote a few years ago? 2. The atmosphere will always be terrible their football league is even worse. 3. The issue of the best fighting the best could be fixed in days IF the governing bodies made a simple rule change than boxer's have to fight opponents ranked within 10 places of their own ranking instead of taking bribes to allow people like wilder to fight opponents ranked hundreds of places lower than him for years or fury fight Ngannou
@@willhitchcock6227yeah Frank vs Catterall was a real blinder 😅

You must be 12 years old as well as the other bloke that said that
Credit to Hearn for opening the door for boxing in Saudi - and saving the card with their fighters.
Just over a year ago Simon Jordan was chomping at the bit to get his hands on some of that Wahabbi oil money. His ambitions as a promoter have been well documented. But now he's complaining about the lack of atmosphere being generated at these Saudi-hosted sportswashing boxing bouts. Perhaps you can't have it both ways, Simon?
I loved the event. Really enjoyed the whole card
You must be deaf
Are Jim and Simon being daft deliberately??? Of course it’s a completely different atmosphere compared to the UK. Uk crowds have a whole plethora of Big Boxing events over the years, the sport is well and truly established, it’s a new market in Saudi Arabia, as we say casual fans, the Saudi Arabia fans are completely new to the sport, and culturally there’s difference between the Saudi tradition and UK traditions. The booze dose play a part in it, maybe they have a relaxed booze policy in Riyadh I don’t know, but I’m happy they keep the crowd disciplined and they remain respectful and sober
It will never be a great atmosphere over in Saudi EVER. They don’t care about any of the sports they are putting money into.
Couldn’t agree more , was funny Simon being very quiet towards the end kinda think he realised he’s being made to look stupid 😂
In Saudi Arabia, it seem really fabricated, it’s just fan boys of celebrities and sports men and women. For the Saudi people its fan boy moments, they will never understand and digest sport as it is in the UK. Football, cricket, boxing and even darts, its grassroots level and well established culture the fans are immersed into and love. Will take time, no amount of sports washing and pumping money can ever buys that. The 23 rd card seemed too inflated to me, overdose, could have been better executed, better execution and organised, no doubt it’s good for the boxers being paid well and matches being put on
Definitely agree with Simon, I've watched at least 6 events in Saudi Arabia and there has been very little atmosphere for any of them, I watch with friends and people always comment on the lack of atmosphere
"You could hear doors shut"
"One with an atmosphere" Simon is super hilarious 😂😂😂
Simon doesn't want to give AJ any credit, how bitter lol
Credit for what? Winning against average fighters after he lost to Usyk and Ruiz

These Saudi events look pretty to the eye and they have created a positive impact in some aspects, we would have never seen Eddie and Frank working together had it not been for this middle eastern money, but yes the lack of crowd atmosphere is a big problem in combat sports where it goes hand in hand, it’s the crowd that gives it that big time feeling and can even influence how fighters fight in the ring, can you imagine trilogies like Ward vs Gatti or Bowe vs Holyfield with silence in the crowd? Lol, there were times in that big Saudi event where you could hear a pin drop even in the wilder and Joshua fights, it definitely is a problem but with so much money flying around out there I don’t see anyone complaining about it. What we need is a big vegas or Wembley fight to breath some soul back into the sport.
It did look like the place was empty - I was at AJ vs Ruiz 2 it was packed to the brim even with the rain. But that’s a job for the Saudis to do in terms of promoting their attractions. If the Saudis are serious with boxing then it’ll be a long term work In progress to entice the travelling crowds from the UK, Europe and US to come over.
They don’t care about that. They just want to distract from all the bombing and beheading they do

Saudi also pay flat fees before ppv revenue so that is not entirely true. Yeah, people did still watch boxing during the lockdown, and it was worse. My follow up question to you was "why have crowds at all now". If people don't care about them, it would be much easier to just hold a fight on a sound stage.
It's because people do care about them. People who watched those fights during lockdown commented that it was weird and worse. The fighters who fought in those fights said they hated it because they feed off crowds.
You don't speak for anyone. You may not care about the atmosphere, but that does not mean others don't. You can be perfectly fine watching a movie on your 27in crt in your dingy little living room, others may want to see it in an iMax for the atmosphere. It's a perfectly valid criticism of Saudi Arabian fights.
Some people may also not want to look out and see a bunch of human rights violators in the audience. Or hear fighters licking the asses of war criminals in every press conference.
It’s all part of the experience. They both matter!
Would like to see AJ fight someone who will seriously attack him and throw some leather. Last three AJ fights have been pretty sedate in terms of pressure for AJ. Great that he looked good against Wallin, however, I would like to see AJ v Ruiz. Ruiz would come in fit and sharp in the third AJ fight and would seriously pressurise AJ.
Frank has to accept criticism on the Saudi crowd and general atmosphere because there has to be something done about it. Losing his rag and mentioning that TalkSport doesn’t have to watch the fights and broadcast because Simon is questioning him is utterly ridiculous and dare I say immature on Frank’s part.
Agreed with aj but in fairness he was due to fight whyte that would have done that. He’s a top fighter and probably even better now if has found the perfect balance between boxing and punching

Has Frank just confirmed AJ vs Zhang at the end. Eddie has said AJ fighting March 9th and hinted it could be Zhang, now Frank saying Zhang will be fighting in March. This would be a good fight but AJ KO’s him
Pitty he didnt ko franklin n ruiz . zhang beats Joshua he beat zhang years ago but zhang beat ruiz white beat Joshua etc both powerful guys but I think zhang wins
The poor crowds contributed to the lethargic pace of the fights imo. Was like a sparring session
Simon says he felt like it sounded like a lack of atmosphere then Warren disagrees with what he feels.
It seemed like there was no one there because the atmosphere was that bad to be honest...frank always puts SImon in his place...fish face been around too long fir people like simon....
Simon is such a miserable git
Best way to watch this video is to zoom in on Jim and listen to the audio. Jim is dying over and over 😂😂😂
Was like watching the boxing when everywhere was closed with no crowds! All people did then was moan that there’s no atmosphere, now apparently it doesn’t matter
Talksport moan fest
Carry’s on I’ll unsubscribe
Frank is right, and was a brilliant night .. best card ever provided. Shame on talksport trying to diss it !!!
Saudi putting up the money for big fights to be made is great but I do agree about the atmosphere its just night and day compared to the UK fight atmosphere. Production wise the shows look good but the actual crowd itself there's not much life init so that is a issue
Great card at a decent price but I wasn't happy with some of the walk on tunes and would have liked better snacks served on the night
TalkSport just seem like they are unhappy AJ looked good and Parker beat the guy easily that Fury basis his career on...In fact, Simon Jordan looks suicidally depressed...grow up...
Coward 🙄
Wins against Franklin, Helenius and Wallin and suddenly Joshua is back! 😂😂🤣🤣😅lmao!! I guarantee you he bought Parker a £100k Rolex for Christmas for giving him yet another excuse to be able to swerve Wilder. Wilder obviously didn't train for Parker and added to the inactivity made him look shot to pieces. If Wilder fought AJ you would see a totally different animal.
Ok Malik😂
Wilder has just lost horribly again against the 2nd credible opponent he has faced Joshua looked great against Klitchko a hall of famer who was ranked no 2 in the world when Joshua fought him are you pbc fanboys just shameless or you're trolling?🤣
@@Tata-by2ek 🤣🤣🤣 Mr Scott to you!
@@arindomudiare3898 You mean 42 year old Vlad, 18 months on the couch after losing to Fury? You clearly know nothing about boxing lad. 🤣😂😅 Stop embarrassing yourself and stick to football.
@@lovejoy3347 a 41 year old Klitschko who Fury had conveniently "retired" to avoid honouring a contractual rematch he owed him? Klitschko was ranked higher than even Wilder on boxrec when he fought Joshua give it a rest your American paper cherry picking champ has been completely exposed as the hype job who only looks good against cherry picked pbc bums
Warren has put some dross cards together over the years, but this was literally the most stacked cars in the history of boxing! Give the man some credit. And if Wilder had one, that cars would have set up AJ vs Wilder this year as well.
Stacked card in the history of boxing🤣🤣🤣🤣. How old are you 12
@@happyguilmore4253 Name me a card with that many decent level fighters on it. I will be waiting…
I’m interested in watching fights your interested in listening to crowds 😂😂😂😂😂 I’m in stitches 😂😂😂
Who cares? The fights could be in at empty room. As long as we get the best against the best!

Aj not won a meaningfull fight in 7 years
It must be true, the words from a random on the net. 😂
That's not any random mate...Its the ghost of Jack Dempsey himself...@@Tata-by2ek
Damn, you told us you don't actually know or follow boxing from one comment. Within the last 7 years that would take us to 2016/7 where AJ Unified against Klitskcho and Parker, defended his titles against top 10 mandatory's. Lost the title to Ruiz and became the 4th boxer in history to regain the title in an immediate rematch.
Not sure why ransoms make baseless comments that make no sense.
Simon never praises aj properly I've heard him question ajs resume but never questions fury and his he's a proper fury bum boy proper football fan not boxing fan
They need to mic up the crowd.
Bricktop has a point, its more about the fights than the atmosphere.
50 years ago the most infamous in Boxing history fight took place! Rumble in the Jungle in Africa!
Ali vs Foreman! The key thing in this fight was the ATMOSPHERE!
No point of nitpicking tbh
It won't happen but it would be amazing if Warren brought in matchroom for the Fury Usyk fight. For me the undercard for Warren's ppv events have been terrible but with Saudi money should be good.
If it's the only way fights are gonna get made then so be it, Fury was never gonna fight Usyk unless he got insane money and you've got fights like Bivol Beterbiev which just aren't financially that lucrative but for whatever reason the Saudis are willing to put up money for them
What are you talking about? Fury offered Usyk the fight at Wembley, one of the 5 times Usyk pulled out
Very true it’s same as aj and wilder would never fight each other unless the Saudis paid them
@@jackkeane6 He kept moving the goalposts every time Usyk accepted anything just like he did with AJ, the guy's just a liar
@@GiantSandles he made Usyk a better offer than what AJ offered him and Usyk still left camp and ran off home 😂😂😂 Usyks manager admitted it on TalkSPORT keep up
