Thanks for the excellent presentation! Putting a silk handkerchief in your breast pocket does create a target to shoot. It reminds me of the British soldier's uniforms, giving the Colonists a better target to aim for in the Revolutionary War. Alcohol, guns, and gambling could turn into a lethal combo in the Old West, and your discussion was an excellent description of how that could occur.
