Most people who know about the art of Edvard Munch...have only ever known/seen such universally famous masterpieces as: - The Scream! - The sick child - Puberty - The day after But, with the help of this 'one' video...I feel I have gone and discovered a whole entire 'new' world...of Munch 'masterpieces'. I am so deeply grateful...for the person/or, people...who have gone and uploaded this video collection...all I can say is, well and truly, GREAT...witnessing seeing the splendid colours/overall design/control over perspective/proportion/figurative people/and, of course, not forgetting his remarkable 'psychological insight' into people's character, as well/-etc. Quite honestly, my praises can only just go on and on and on...; such beautiful works, wow...revealing, endless...'masterpiece after masterpiece'...I confess that I watched it all day/night long...pausing before this one/or, that one...which I truly couldn't resist seeing...! ;-) Right now, I'm still in the process of 'thinking' about buying a book which can tell me lots more about this artists life/relationships/influences/work/times/-etc.
How overwhelmed I am with the works of this artist. Like some giant pool of cool luxurious water,I am refreshed and greatly inspired by the genius. at work here. So many facets to the wonderful diamond of his work that I am uncertain as to the descriptive language I yearn to use. Therefore,I purpose to go back and peruse this gallery yet one more time. What a treasure has been set before us.
I am intrigued at how important it is to peruse an entire body of work rather than the ocassional "smash hit : The Scream, that appears all over, for example. Meditating on this wonderful collection, has allowed me to penetrate much farther into the crestive genius manifesting here. I am grsteful to those who msde this compilation happen.
His works remind me of my naive paintings during elementary. It's very interesting that he had used oils, yet his works are so bright, simple, full of life.
For those that may wonder about some of these pictures. Many of the works was seen as sketches by E. Munch. He tried to capture a lot of different ideas, moods and new techniques of expressions in his paintings.
Thank you so much for sharing paintings of this outstanding artist. You have done tremendous work. Would be great if someone who is able could assist you and add the titles. Thank you again.
A remarkably mesmerizing experience .... colours are incredible , the whole experience - musically and visually is sublime , meditative , calmingly peacefull .... in short , simply gorgeous .... videos such as this are a very special gift .... thank you so very much 😌 Namaste
Love love love nothing but love-- imperfect and impatient, extroverted with thick and thick colours that flow in tears tears nothing but stains from tears..... Most heartwarming oeuvre... Thank you, Munch.
I love that the painting is given full screen treatment. The painting is the creation. the title is usually arbitary. I love this channel just as it is.
I don't agree, exactly. He had many famous paintings (or 'series' of paintings): The Vampire, The Sick Child, Jealousy, The Voice, The Girls on the Bridge, etc., etc. At least they are well-known by those interested in 20th-century art. Then, one top of this, he has ONE 'mega' famous image, "The Scream." Recognizable on a scale beyond what practically any other 20th century artist achieved for ONE IMAGE. Even Picasso can't quite claim this.
Never thought a slideshow would put me through so many emotions. Great music choice too. Kevin MacLeod - didn't expect that! Munch's art has a special place in my heart. It's thought provoking and it captures a particular essence that has such a special mood to it. I went to a Munch art gallery in Oslo and it was an incredible experience. One thing I'm fascinated about, among other things, is the way people and things melt together. It's not just arbitrary, it captures a feeling: I think, either a mood he had while drawing or the feeling of the subjects of which he empathized with. Also the pieces about grief has this melancholia and darkness that's hard to describe.
Beautiful And I was surprised one Art Was looks like Korean lady standing on the rock beach side Waiting on some one or that fishing boat 2 hours 19 minted minutes 54 second has this Art It is all great art Thank you for sharing
For somebody who's mainly famous for only one painting, (actually there were half a dozen here that I recognized,) arguably not necessarily his best, when contrasted with the quality of rest of his output, he was astonishingly prolific and it's taking me ages to do full justice to this vast collection. Too much for one sitting or even several sittings; but well worth spending the time.
I have watched this video in its entirety maybe 12 times...but I usually only watch it for about half-an-hour at a time. Even after so many viewings, I can watch it again and see paintings that I don't 'remember' or maybe didn't really appreciate before. I think the human brain can only process so much at a time. Of course I really liked Munch before, and seeing this video has made him my 'favorite artists!" I was familiar with roughly 300 of his paintings before stumbling on this video...which means there were some 1300 I had NEVER seen!
У этого художника интересные картины и интересная судьба. Их надо воспринимать вместе, тогда он становится ближе и понятнее. Я люблю смотреть на его картины. спасибо.
Munch has been almost completely overlooked and forgotten. But he was as fascile and talented as Vincent Van Gogh along with a similar dark side as well. But in todays sad world, no one really cares.
does anyone know where the painting at 2:26.16 is? This is the one with the man in a hat with a green face walking toward us. I want o find a 'still' image of it. And curious where the original is.
I'm speechless...thank heaven for RUclips. Am I crazy in thinking he must be one of history's greatest?
I'm crazier then, I think he's the best by a long way
to me he is the greatest artist of the 20th century.....

Absolutely inspiring. I am really enjoying this and have viewed it more than once. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Love your content.
Thank you for posting this collection, the work you put into it is quite a compliment. The works are humbling and beautiful.
Thank you so much for this fantastic travel across the mind of a fantastic artist, the background music is just celestial for a celestial journey.
Wow! Munch.. what an artist! Compeletely entranced by his works. Very well put together video!
Amazing work thanks to him
Excellent video. he painted so many happy beautiful paintings and is yet known for his depressed state of mind.
Amazing range of styles and approaches from traditional to exploratory. Tremendously prolific, productive and versatile.
want some cheese to with that turtle neck?
What I like about his work is , that some are pure brilliance, others are almost primitive 👍👍👍👍

What glorious colour, what emotion, what energy!!!
His works remind me of my naive paintings during elementary.

Great stuff. I wanted to thank you for all these. Thank you
He has a lot of different styles , amazing
Right?

“The Scream”, thank you I am glad you allowed us to see a variety of his beautiful works.😱💕❤️🙏♥️
This is like my12th time watching this, it’s so perfectly beautiful. Thanks again 🙏🏼🌹
I see so many other people’s styles referenced in his work. Hadn’t noticed before. Gorgeous music.
How much of an impression can it make if all there is are people and trees, amazing.
A remarkably mesmerizing experience .... colours are incredible , the whole experience - musically and visually is sublime , meditative , calmingly peacefull .... in short , simply gorgeous .... videos such as this are a very special gift .... thank you so very much 😌 Namaste
@philipdavis6207 . Exactly. Well said. Am currently immersing myself. Are you also an artist? Namaste, go well ❤
Love love love nothing but love-- imperfect and impatient, extroverted with thick and thick colours that flow in tears tears nothing but stains from tears..... Most heartwarming oeuvre... Thank you, Munch.

I don't even get simple
joy from the things
I love, like this, any more.
What a wonderful visionary artist. Even his uninhabited landscapes are somehow psychological.
Inesperada e increíble recopilación de sus obras. Su mano pintando!!! la imagine.
Very beautiful works, and colors, and a great artist
it's very unfortunate that the titles of the paintings were left out. They are essential to understanding the works. Amazing artist,my favorite.
Neil Hasid couldn’t agree more
It's possible that a lot of them don't have titles. Quite a few of the works look like they have been reproduced from the artist's sketchbook
I love that the painting is given full screen treatment. The painting is the creation. the title is usually arbitary. I love this channel just as it is.
I don’t care about “understanding “ painting
Amazing! It is sad that he became famous for only one of his works while he did so much!
I don't agree, exactly.
Very Good . I love the Scream. I haven’t seen it yet .

Absolute abstract art
Despite more than 150 years, Munch's work is still shocking, about viruses and fear!
What is the music playing, so perfect
