I'm watching this great art show on my cell phone . I decreased the playback to 1/4 speed . This made viewing even better vs. turning my head and missing something amazing. Enjoy!
Turner is my favourite artist . I studied his works at Art College. I could not get enough of viewing the paintings. So much light ..it appeals to me .
Thank you, so much! Joseph William Mallord Turner has been my favorite artist since I was 16. Seeing his work in The National Gallery, in London. The elegant details of his subject proudly hails, while the backdrop gently becomes the blurry wisps of color. 46 years later his teal blue is still my favorite color. David’s wife thanks you again!
I had to stop at 20" to catch my breath! Like so many artists, Turner is known for less than a handful of paintings. What a shame! His range is nothing less than mind boggling. As a draughtsman, a virtuoso. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. What a discovery for me.
Whenever I watch these compilations I find myself utterly amazed at just how much if our true history has been hid from us... How does no one question the architecture displayed in these paintings and Bruegels (which is generations capturing the degeneration of the civilization around during that timespan) I believe that the beautiful architecture we see in these paintings depict a time when our minds had more freedom to be utilized in a way that wasn’t consumed about things like what we can pretend to be oppressed or offended by anything that allows us to get oppression points bc it’s the currency of our fallen world🤦🏻♀️ Thank you for adding the music, I’ve probably seen the Brueghel videos more than any other video in my ive ever seen. ❤️🙏🏼
Thank you so much for these extensive looks at other minds and worlds. Started watching this in am with my coffee instead of reading NY Times to keep from losing my mind. A great service
LearnFromMasters is a great job! Thanks for this Turner demo. With 157,000 subscribers you deserve to have that little heart where we click and help fund the channel.
William Turner late 15 Century, way ahead of his time. One off my favorite Masters. His Natrualist paintings breath taking. Especially the Venitian study of light. No one even today can surpass him .Extradionary visionary. Seen his work up close , one is absolutely spell bound. By his light and brush strokes. Incredible. You just stand there mesmerized. Not even Monet gets that close. If any artist is lucky enough to hear about a show of his. GO.!!!Wonder what he would do with Grand Canyons?🎆🌅🎨🗽🦅🇩🇰🇺🇸⚡Documentry outstanding. Thank You.🌷
You have done the audience a great service by including Turner's watercolors, their luminosity is out of this world. Turner's sketches of grand vista interplayed with ambient light undoubtedly planted the seeds in later impressionistic artists to usher in the suggestive shimmering quality in their paintings. It took me nearly 1.5 months to view the video in its entirety. The last 25 minutes I deemed the best showcasing Turner's riches in his techniques & subject matters. I didn't want the show to end.

I know zero; nothing; about painting or art. I've given little thought to technique or style to art of any type. This has opened my eyes. I am looking at this with fascination and want to stare at each piece much longer. A door has opened. I cannot explain how I feel now. It is strange, but somehow I can look at these paintings and almost feel like I am looking through a window or standing on a hilltop. Just incredible.
Beautiful. Brings me to tears as all great works of art do. Amazing to see this body of Turner's work in one place. The music is also awesome. Weel done! Bravo to you and thank you.
Turner was without question the greatest water colorist ever.....and many say he was also the greatest landscapist ever......i personally hate to judge like that....lets just say that even among the greatest ...some always stand out
I've had this video sitting in my "watch later" folder for quite awhile and have finally sat through the full two hours in one sitting - the best way to view it. Staggering output of work and so varied in style, which quite surprised me. I had to wonder if some of the examples were in fact Turner's work! But, assuming they are, it just leaves me even more impressed by his versatility. The sponteneity of his watercolours are a banquet of colour. If one could eat colour these sketches would epitomise the idea (I was reminded of Peter Jackson's "What Dreams May Come" segment where Robin Williams' character is literally squeezing the colour between his fingers - that's the effect Turner's use of colour has on me).
What I always find most amazing are the paintings about rough sea and waves crashing ashore. It’s hard to imagine how it can be painted so well if you have never seen a photo of it with just a few milliseconds of exposure which completely freezes the motion. William Turner had to do all this in his head without reference.
How nice to see so much of his work all at once. I read he left 300 oil paintings and 30 thousand drawings and watercolors to the British nation. What a gem.
wonderful to discover all these paintings, I've gained such an insight into Turner's work, and overjoyed to see so many of his sketches and early works, an incredible insight into the evolution of his work thank you so much for putting all this together
Turner, although coming from a lower class family, certainly maximized his opportunities when he was offered them. I especially like his works from his time spent in Venezia (Venice). His ethereal treatment of light was so very intriguing. Thanks for putting this video montage together.
your audience really transcends cultures. well done! the language of art affects humans regardless of the written/spoken language of the viewer. congrats on bringing people together in such a beautiful way when much of the world today is intent on dividing us.
What a wonder - Thank you for posting - putting these together what a collection amazing that they exist in such condition and at all - the music is perfectly contemplative - again thank you - you have contributed to raising the human mental bar - i.e. human consciousness - the hope for me has increased - Smiles - a big grateful smile
Exquisite paintings by a Master; music is relaxing, like Turner's works--even the Storm scenes; coming from someone who paints, it's the most relaxing thing a person can do.
Sempre me apaixono todas as vezes que assisto. Minhas sinceras considerações 👏👏👏👏👏👏. Grande abraço. Parabéns pelo excelentíssimo conteúdo.
@ OlymPigs... That what I always said too... they gave the title "Father of Impression" to Ed Manet but didn't those frogs know about WJ Turner ? leave it to the French to take credit for all of 19th century art... and when you see Jimmy McNeill Whistler's work you know he was influenced by Turner.
And , thank you for sharing! It seems there is not 1 bad composition in the entire collection. I want to go back in time and give him a hug for leaving the world this gift.
Maravilhoso!
Sublime. A prolific masterful artist who created a vast amount of work. Turner was one of the greatest landscape artists. His eye for composition, in particular, is truly inspiring.
Turners work spectacular. If you want to be able to view pictures for longer time, you can slow speed. Go to far top right on screen and find 3 vertical dots. Click on them and option for playback speed is there. Click on your choice. Music will also slow however. But you could turn off volume.
There was Joseph Mallord William Turner, and then another Turner, William of Oxford as he was known, to distinguish him from the other Turner. The love of nature is very evident in his work. How can one not be inspired to create after looking at beauty in his art and nature.

J M W Turner(1775-1851) was romantic artist in nineteenth century. not late 15 century.

Yes, he has been such an inspiration to painters and admirers of painters alike. Thank you for compiling this great video.
So did Bob Ross. Bill Alexander was a fan of Bill Turner's work. , I feel.
Yes ! It is true though, that he strapped himself to a mast in a storm. 👍😳
Very well said! Goes for all great artists actually.......

Perhaps the greatest landscape artist who ever lived.
Yes, his landscapes are how we perceive them on stormy days and we feel the energy
Admirações do Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Turner, although coming from a lower class family, certainly maximized his opportunities when he was offered them.
I especially like his works from his time spent in Venezia (Venice). His ethereal treatment of light was so very intriguing.

Pissaro denied that Turner influenced him but there are log books showing his name for Turner's shows.
Turner had unlimited ability, one of the finest English painters.
the finest, surely there's no doubt

Turners paintings are unbelievable.
There would be great If you could provide name, current location, year painted and any background history of those individual paintings. 🤗
So many paintings , some of these are very quick, some have alot going on!
Beatiful music!!
thanks you for showing
Amazing artist especially his work pre dates 1852.
The overwhelming power of Turner’s paintings is an order of magnitude more awesome
