- Working with so many Landcruisers in my life daily sometimes can get repetitive and honestly, I needed a little reprieve. So, one afternoon when this Willy 1962 CJ5 was suggested I try to get going again I jumped on it. This is a new platform and is something ive wanted to start working on ever since I saw my first one as a kid. Can we get this one going to help complete a childhood dream? Find out!

Love watching these videos, didn't skip a minute of it!
Very nice proyect. good job!
Just found your channel today, glad I did. Looks like you’re surrounded by Jeep people👍. I’m a wagon man myself, started with a Cherokee Chief, then three more wagoners. I got started with Willys wagons. Had four of those, one SBC, the rest Super Hurricanes. Revived three and sold the last one two years ago. My son brought home an 82 CJ7 and another 82 Wagoneer. Can’t get away from the Jeeps! Wouldn’t want it any other way. I like your content, keep up the good work. I’m telling my son about your channel also.
Those wagons are tanks! A great way to camp as well!
That CJ5 is really coming along.
really like the cj, I saw the plates on it, where in Va are you?
Thank you for this excellent video. What a fantastic shop you are able to work in. Carry On Jeep rescuers!
Great content!!!!
Fantastic work!
In your previous video you rebuilt your wheel cylinders and cleaned the master cylinder. Just a warning when you mess with the bore or they get too far along they can let go. I'm all about rebuilding them but I've worn a few out. Great video.
Great stuff
this has been a cool series
Love old Jeeps, had 4 CJ 7’s so I’ve learned a lot . Keep up the good work.
i love that jeep thank i will find a project one
Good vídeo 👍🏻
Great episode I really enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey guys put a 959,000 inch boggers wheel's on the 1962 Willy Jeep CJ5 and then put a brand 2021 Dodge Challenger or a Dodge Durango widebody SRT8 Scat pack Hellcat demon red eyed motor into this Jeep.
Great job on the jeep!
Thank you
Great to see the progress. I imagine it's quite refreshing to work on something like this, as it must be so basic and "agricultural" in its design.
No headlining, trims, servos, relays, electronics.. just robust, all terrain (military), essentials.
I'd be desperate to get into the bodywork personally, but I know you're doing it in a logical progression. Loving these vids, please keep them coming!
Totally refreshing. Really enjoyable to work on honestly. It’s cool to be able to drive it after each work session and feel the improvements. Body work will be in due time. Have to get her driving well first. Glad your enjoying them.
@@mizeadventure9438 It's also an education about history of cars, as so many of the features are the beginnings of vehicles as we know them. (I know.. I worked on 60s British sports cars quite a bit, many similarities!!🤣).
Love how the Willys is coming out! Great work! I'm surprised you're not doing an FJ40. Maybe that should be your next video project. I know a guy that has a few junk ones lol
Was giving a new platform some love. You giving any away? Ha
Jonas, when will you upload the next CJ5 video?
Esse jeep é 4 marchas ou 3?
Parabéns pelo veículo, esse é meu sonho de criança, vou adquirir um
I'm pretty much following your lead on the resto - I don't have the shop you do, but it all works out, busted knuckles and all. No first start for me yet - waiting on a new distributor. I really like your video on your Willys Jeep. I hope my '57 sounds as good as yours when it comes alive!
I’ll buy your old distributor…
@@emeyerriecks Absolutely. Just give me know a fair offer and it'll be on the way to you. - I'm waiting on a new aftermarket one (they're out of stock right now). If you're on FB we can work out details by PM. I live in SC by the way.
Distributor is an Auto-Lite Model IAY 4012 10L
I'm not a big fan of the ross steering. The only reason to keep would be to keep it as original as possible. Imho.
What is the part number for the u joints? I've been trying to confirm if they are 1510's.
Bacon is looking so good man! So cool to see a different perspective on a CJ! Love that jeep.
Haha totally
The steering box gets gear oil not grease!!!
Called a project,which costs money
