Has Dr Tabor made any investigation into the grotto which is accessed from the Franciscan church where the purported tomb of Mary Magdelene is? This cavernous grotto has been used as a prayer room for many centuries.
However, in 1956, the Franciscans decided to refurbish the floor, but allowed an archeologist to examine what was originally there, before the floor was laid. He found the remains of the crushing vat near the entrance. Further inside was the circular foundation of the press with the niche still visible today in the wall where the great wooden beam was situated. Against the rear wall, an area of the floor had been cut into ripped lines, to hold the bases of the amphorae. He also noticed that beneath the floor was another cave with an ancient Mikvah - for purification before the workers made the oil for temple use. This first century Mikvah has now been opened from the ground level and can be viewed for tourists.
Considering that Get-shemen, (oil press) is not identified by "garden" in the three synoptics, I would agree with the Franciscan tradition that Jesus met in this spacious, cool grotto often with his disciples and this is where he left 8 of them sleeping (possibly outside?) taking Peter James and John (perhaps inside?) and went "a little further" down to the Mikvah area to pray.... And perhaps also to baptize the mysterious young man of Mk 14:51-52, wrapping him in the white linen sindōn afterwards? Could he be the same rich young ruler whom Jesus loved (Mk 10:21) who then changed his mind?
21Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
There are not many to whom Jesus gave this specific call to follow him - to be one of his chosen. So there is a real possibility that this young man might have changed his mind and sought out Jesus ... who was baptising him to become the replacement for Judas?
Alternatively, it may have been his younger brother, James being commissioned through a further naked baptism ceremony and enrobing him with the Essenes' white linen as the next leader? I'm aware that giving of the sindōn may have signified a commissioning, is an interpretation that Dr Tabor has of the passage in Hebrew Matthew where Jesus gives the sindōn to the High Priest's servant to give to James? Why mention Peter cutting off his ear at this time? Were the Pauline prejudiced later gospel writers trying to obscure the importance of James here, as well?
I know I have asked a lot of questions but it has to be admitted that there is some textual and archeological substance to my speculations.
    Would love some feedback! 🙂

In John, that week was HI SABBATH. That means there were two sabbaths that week. One on Thursday and then the regular 7th day SABBATH. So, Jesus was crucified on Wednesday and rose from the grave after sunset on the 7th day SABBATH. Hence, you get as Jesus said he'll be in the grave for full 3 nights and 3 days in the grave and ascended back into the right hand of God from he came. Amen

According to the Mishna, the Passover meal was to be eaten on the *ground floor* in Jerusalem. Jesus requested an "upper room". He did this purposely for some reason. Perhaps to let them know the Last Supper was part of a new covenant and something different.

“Wait, there is more! Not only did every person have to find a place to eat the korban, he had to find a place on the ground floor! The Gemara says that although the korban had to be eaten within the walled city, it could only be eaten on the ground floor, since upper levels and rooftops were not awarded the unique sanctity of the walled city. Also, one must take into consideration that when eating the korban they were reclining on couches which necessitated even more room!” (Pesachim 85b)

They will describe the accident is severely conflicting terms. Even though police use eyewitness testimony, the error rate is astounding. Many innocent people have gone to prison for life even been executed on erroneous eyewitness testimony. Thankfully, some innocent people in prison are being exonerated.
Regarding the Bible and Jesus' life and death, there weren't many eyewitnesses that later described exactly what they saw or heared. As you probably know many books of the New Testament were not written by the person the Bible attributes them to. For example, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were not the desciples Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and probably had other names. Same for many of Paul's epistles. This was determined by years and years of textural and historical research with no motives other than seeking the facts.
As you also probably know, there are loads of conflicting statements, ideas, prophecy, and so on in both the Old and New Testaments. The bottom line is that the Bible was written by human beings who may have had agendas (personal, social, religious, political), and/or who thought they knew the facts. Please realize that you and I know tons more about life, earth, the cosmos, medicine, technology, psychology, and so on that any of the people living in those days. Dr, Tabor I think the death of Jesus was modelled into the Pesach tradition. Paul does not even once refer to Jesus crucifixion happening on Pesach or around that time. Paul portraits Jesus in Philippians as the lamb, referring to the Lamb of Yom Kippur as Pamela Eisenbaum has pointed out in her marvelous book: Paul was no Christian.
We have to consider the idea that the Gospels are a catechesis for the proselytes and the Jesus story has been modelled in this liturgical (1th century synagogue liturgy) catechesis. John calls Jesus the Lamb of God by his baptism. That also brings us in the festival of Jom Kippur.
Secondly how do you explain the procession into Jerusalem that actually shows the signs of the feast of Sukkot.

Edit: Most ex-Christian Dead Sea Scrolls scholars (Eisenman, Tabor, Nichols, being the most obvious) tend to believe there was a historical Jesus that could be gleamed from those parts of the NT that match the contents and general ideas found in the DSS. That's why there is a long discussion about the Essene Quarter in this video. They think the historical Jesus was a preacher influenced by the same ideas that the Qumran Community espoused.

Jimmy Jesus's last night before the 33 hours He endured until the sacrifice of the lambs began,
Jesus's mission to Jerusalem, the Whore of Babylon, as Messiah was the same as Jonah's to Nineveh, to prevent an apocalypse, That's why Jonah ran away from his task: he was like Netanyahu about Gaza and hated Nineveh like Likud hates Palestinians. The difference, of course, was that Jesus of Nazareth, Messiah, loved Jerusalem and bet The Satan He could transform the Whore of Babylon to Mount Zion of Israel intellectually, rabbinically,,
Jesus was trying to warn Jerusalem the way Jimmy Carter and Abdullah II of Jordan were trying to warn Israel of the bad karma being compounded by Netanyahu's bad faith in regards to the Oslo Accord and the Likud as a terrorist organization that Israel needs to quell,
Both Jesus and Josephus were pro-Pax Roman for reasons that came to embedded in Pauline Theology, given N.T. Wright's interpretation of Pauline Theology, the interpretation of Pauline Theology by either the Jesus Seminar or Pro-Life Calvinism is what created David Koresh, He was a product of Bill Bright's business model for Jesus, Inc and Campus Crusade for Christ, Jesus freaks like Bart Ehrman, The Talking Cross represents the leap of faith Israel had to make from its theocratic limitations to the separation of chruch and state of the Roman Commonwealth generally understood in 33 CE, when the astrology says Jesus the Christ died and sent the events in the spiritual realm of Caiaphas's choice of terrorism over righteousness, set into motion, The Talking Cross became the Christian mechanism of the Roman Empire that crushed Eschatology as the critical path of the Bible narrative, going back to the Book of Job.
From the perspective of the process theology of Cornelius, the divine purpose of the 66 books of the Biblical narrative set into motion in 3760 BCI with the composition of the Book of Job by Elohim the verb, The purpose of the narrative was to provide a reliable epistemological bridge between the social technology of Egypt to the Metaphysics of Apollo 11, with Genesis 15:5 the essential trajectory of the record, The 39 book trajectory of the Palestine Bible from the Book of Job to Isiah is the experimentation in the optimal human swarm governance and God's choice is the separation of Chruch and State modeled by the Roman Empire with the subordinate administrative state of the Republic that emerged from the secular rule of law and the Italian Regiment of the Praetorian Guard, That's what the Talking Cross endorses in the role of the Centurion as the essential structure of True Warfare of Clausewitz.
Jesus tries to introduce the principles of Pauline Theology into Israel with His periplectic ministry He conducted to bring his Disciples up to speed as process theology gurus for the Kingdom of God coming to the Kingdom of Heaven, Only, He discovered that the Roman centurions were already operating as the Archetype of the servant leader Jesus models specifically with the foot washing ceremony in John, This is the mission0men0slef priorities of the commissioned officers of the US Infantry with a Ranger Tab.
Jesus lost his wager with The Satan when He raised Lazarus and created a karmic debt that required fulfillment. That's why Jesus wept: He was the fulfillment. And the rest is history,
Cornelius began to implement Pauline Theology with the production of the Gosple of Mark after his encounter with Peter, which would begin a relationship that lasted until both men died, Paul was legitimately channeling Jesus as his Scribe and Ethical voice. Pauline Theology is the Jesus Judaism Jesus of Nazareth, Messiah, was peddling to Israel in order to prevent the apocalypse generated by the Whore of Babylon and the progenitors of Likud,, the Zealots.
70 CE was a self-inflicted wound and the Talking Cross was the terrible swift sword of karma. Like October 7.

The passover was not sin offering. And most Christians don't realize that there was no blood sacrifice for the willful breaking of the 10 commandments.
Its ALWAYS been repentance with a contrite heart and the Fathers mercy that removes sin. Or as John reminded everyone, be baptized unto repentance for the FORGIVENESS of sins. As the prodigal son parable shows us. And Zacheus' whole house was forgiven. King David was automatically forgiven, the woman caught in adultery was forgiven. Elizabeth and Zacharias were blameless before God. No one can die to pay your sin debt. The gospels narrative was corrupted along the way.

The full equation for the forgiveness of sins is vows of repentance plus sacrificial offerings (blood). That goes for both Jews (Psalm 66:13-19) and gentiles (Jonah 1:16-17).
Blood is needed to atone for sin (Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:22, 1 Samuel 3:12-14) and God was rejecting Israel’s sacrifices.
      Jeremiah 6:20
      Amos 5:21-22

      Isaiah 1:11-17
The New Covenant was prophesied to provide atonement for Israel’s sins.

24:08 44:35. Have a hug. Where Is The Love?
    Black Eyed Peas
What's wrong with the world, mama?
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world's addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we tryna stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate, then you're bound to get irate, yeah
    Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all
    People killin', people dyin'
    Children hurt, hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
Or would you turn the other cheek?
    Father, Father, Father, help us
    Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
    Where is the love (love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love?
It just ain't the same, old ways have changed
New days are strange, is the world insane?
If love and peace are so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong?
    Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself, is the lovin' really gone?
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin' in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
    Where's the love, y'all, come on? (I don't know)
    Where's the truth, y'all, come on? (I don't know)
    Where's the love, y'all?
    People killin', people dyin'
    Children hurt, hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
Or would you turn the other cheek?❤Father, Father, Father, help us
    Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
    Where is the love (love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love? (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love?
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema, yo'
Whatever happened to the values of humanity?
Whatever happened to the fairness and equality?
Instead of spreading love we're spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive 'til love is found
    Now ask yourself
    Where is the love?
    Where is the love?
    Where is the love?
    Where is the love?
    Father, Father, Father, help us
    Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
    Where is the love?
Sing with me y'all (one world, one world)
We only got (one world, one world)
That's all we got (one world, one world)
And something's wrong with it (yeah)
    Something's wrong with it (yeah)
Something's wrong with the wo-wo-world, yeah
We only got (one world, one world)
That's all we got (one world, one world)
