It's more a question of whether anyone still buys you when you've managed to take a great photo in an enchanting atmosphere and a fantastic composition and you want to share it on social media. Suspicion will increase and that's what worries me the most...
That has already existed for a long time - with the whole "digital print canvas versus actual oil canvas etc" digital versus non-digital has been at war for years. This is just another tool, another medium. A skilled artist will make use of it and generate amazing art either way :)
Absolutely amazing! However, I've been an avid student of Photoshop for years, learning compositing, and other cool techniques. A skill I was proud to know. Not everyone could do this. Adobe has now made it so easy to create stunning images and composites with absolutely no skill required, prompting me, (no pun intended), to question, Why did I learn all those techniques and skills over the years if the end result is something any novice can replicate in seconds by typing a description.
Yeap, thats technology for you. Alot of graphic designers will get replaced. I use to hire people on Fivver to do some Photoshop work for me but with A.I and with Templates its no need, I can do it myself.

Tie would also have been perfect. I was just about to write an email to colleagues about how easy it is now. I discarded the email. Not sure if that would be a good idea. I'm not getting nervous now, but it's incredible what's possible. Thanks for your tutorial and your time.

Like so many people I'm amazed and slightly troubled by this phenomenal advance in Photoshop technology. As ever I'm so thankful to you for your excellent tutorial on this new feature. I've been using Photoshop (and Lightroom) for many years to "tidy up" my images and inevitably the degree by which "tidying up" is defined has grown with the advent of the new technology, especially the AI element . Entering contests and competitions with an image that has been "improved" by for example using Camera Raw filter sliders is one thing but are competitions going to start adding limits in the terms and conditions of entry to weed out entries that have elements of AI generated additions and composites ? I'm sure we've all carefully "cloned out" (or more recently used the remove tool) to lose the odd distracting item (like an overflowing ugly waste bin in a street scene ), but replacing the bin with an artificially created item (like a dog or a car) changes the meaning and feel of the image. It is amazing and frightening!! Especially generating an entire scene from scratch. I know people "draw" images from scratch in PS but that has taken considerable time & skill in the past. This makes it possible for anyone to create anything...both good & bad. I'm worried!
As a hobbyist photographer, I think this is an amazing way to speed up post production and could possibly reduce the amount of photos taken in the field for easier compositing/blending. As with all things AI related, there has to be some level of artistic integrity that we maintain. Passing off a photo that's completely manipulated and calling it authentic might be a low blow to the community that's relatively true to form. When photographers post amazing photos and I pixel peep only to find intentional manipulation that's poorly executed, I lose a little respect for that person's skills in the field. Hopefully people who enjoy editing will continue to utilize traditional methods if they haven't mastered the fundamentals. There's so much knowledge to gain by putting in hours of hard work, both on a critical thinking and self awareness level. Nonetheless, this is going to be great for making memes, while adding another level of simplicity for those who perpetuate misinformation.
This is quite a good example, of what AI does. His yoga example is the best practical application as we often have images that could benefit from such techniques. Hoowever, the leather jacket does show its limitations. Its a tool, and I would not get too excited about it. I find it useful for removing timestamps of photos. I also like to take certain images of buildings and remove modern features. Its a bit iffy, but certainly possible, whereas before it was not practical at all.
I remember the awe of layer introduction in PSD 3. And all these new features definitely terrify me, LOL. Jeez, I'm getting old, hahaha! Always great content, thanks as always for your take!
Thank you,, this was very useful, you helped me create my first AI composite out of a bad photo I took yesterday, since I wasn't going to be using the photo anyway, I figured what could I hurt ??? It worked out pretty good.
The fact that PS can do this is nicely programmed but of minor use in the real world cause all the placed items are PS generated images like the dog and cat. In the real world you want to e.g. put your own dog or cat in that place or whatever image you have. Same with the BG's, you are bound to PS generated BG's After playing with this for a while, the fun is soon over. And then there are the limitations as you mentioned. I'll stick to the old ways where I have total control over my work and the results. Thanks for sharing
The general public will love all the features. Less so will do the professional photographers. So far I only see expand image tool quite useful. In most other cases I'll prefer taking a composed shot with minimal changes in post than 'photoshoping it to death'. The results will please a neighbour but not a serious (and picky) client
Amazing tool and a fantastic tutorial to explain it. I've tried it and it is mind blowing. I've had problems though changing the color of an article of clothing on a subject. I selected a t shirt on the subject and typed in a variety of prompts such as red t shirt, or red and a few others and what it does is put a backpack on the subject and it's not even red. I agree though that this tool will change photography design in a big way. Thanks again for this tutorial.
Just got it. Only needed to update de Beta version on Creative Cloud. Tried it... and got funnily amazed !!! This new feature opens a new world to creative photography. Hope it's soon added to the next regular version. Once again, Photoshop has surprised its users! Good job, Jesus... as always!! Thanks a lot once more... !!!

Quick tutorial is awesome, i have learned lots of tips and technique
It’s amazing!❤🎉thanks for a tutorial
Same with the BG's, you are bound to PS generated BG's
After playing with this for a while, the fun is soon over.
And then there are the limitations as you mentioned.
I'll stick to the old ways where I have total control over my work and the results.
Thanks for sharing
Tuyệt vời! 👌🎉
Wow, this is .... wow ... An amazing step forward.
Wow!!! I'm going to use this for my extra limbs in Ai. They're looking a mess. Thanks for this tutorial
This is way over the top. I so want to use my photos. That I have worked on for so long
