An American here. I watched and loved V when I was a kid. I was 12 when it aired in 1983 and would have loved to own figures or other toys from it back then. Had I known they existed, that is. Somehow they completely escaped my notice.
WOW...CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG figs...Yes the Child capture guy is still one of the creepiest villians ever !! GUYS Incredible video ..sooo much fun to see vintage goodness ..THANK YOU from Edmonton , Alta . CANADA :)
You both know I’m impressed with the series but this is arguably the best episode yet. And kudos to the film editor and whoever chooses the music tracks. Spot on!
Great vid! I love fraggle rock lol! Wow at 21:18 it shows a red alabastrite dragon I used to have! No that exact one but one that looked exactly like it. I also had a couple Chinese lion book ends and a huge warrior guy from the same line. Those Clive Barker things were really cool also.
Incredible episode, chaps. What an advert for Wolverhampton's toy community. That V haggle at the end was genuinely tense 😅 great to see both parties leaving happy from that one!
Okay, why hasn't a proper television station put these guys on their channel? This is way too good of a show to be stuck on RUclips. ALSO, I'd love to get Season 3 here in the USA.
Hi guys another thrilling episode that turned into an episode of Eastenders the suspence at the end was a bit of a battle certainly was v for victory. will give you another ring Joe in about 3 weeks or so. all the best Ian.
Wow what another great video love the old V toys that would have been a intense moment but good work and seeing it through great job guys can’t wait to see the next episode 😎👍🏻
Cracking episode. My heart was pounding when you were haggling the V items, and I thought it was going to go into a commercial break, a la 'Salvage Hunters' just to ramp up the tension. V items have traditionally been difficult to find on eBay often because of the name... "V". Unless they're advertised with 'Visitors' and 'TV Series' they can be easy to miss. I've seen all those items on various fan websites over the years (though not always packaged), and I've personally managed to get a few bits and pieces myself.
Nice selection of board games in the 2nd shop (including Buck Rogers revealed at 13:10). Also loved seeing Gav explain the Space Invaders mini-cabinet:) Thanks again for another great episode chaps.
Why was Joe even thinking about it. Anyone who knows what they were looking at knows a £1000 was a very good deal. He should of grabbed them all. I've never EVER seen these before.!!! Great episode lads !!
My fave episode yet. I regularly pop into these shops especially King St Toys, Darren the owner is such a nice bloke. Haven’t been into Weird and Wonderful yet so I’m definitely going to have to visit. Keep these coming, loving the show. Wow those V figures 😍
Brilliant series. Really enjoying watching from afar (New Zealand, where we're still in lockdown and the toy shops are closed). Are you going to do a half hour special when Gav finds his Lego Velma?
Fantastic episode! The entire time you were haggling over the V toys I kept seeing fully armored Dino-Riders in the glass case by the V figures and couldn't take my eyes off of them haha! It's rare to see the TRex out in the wild with it's armor.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop I'm slowly but surely collecting the entire line. My crown jewels of that collection so far are a complete working T-Rex and a complete working Triceratops with box. Those were always my favorite.
You guys have got the best job ever..!! I loved that captain scarlet figure in the background in the last shop you went to..wish you would pay more attention to the Gerry anderson stuff in these vids if it where possible..!!..great content though..love it..!!
I was a big fan of V when it first aired in the UK and had no idea that there were figures. They're way out of my price range (my wallet's staying in the microwave) but they were great to see. Most dramatic episode to date :)
Holy crap! If we just keep it USD and we’re talking $1000; $200 each isn’t bad at all. You can flip them and make your money back and double it if you sell them individually. Well in the USA for sure! V stuff is the Unicorn of grails. I’m glad to see he stood his ground!
Do you think the price of 80's toys like He-man will peak eventually as people from that era get older?, are there any toy lines you feel have peaked already?. Great series btw :)
Great question! One to ask when we do a forthcoming live RUclips event where you can ask Joe, Gav or Matt any toy related or toy shop on tour related questions. We’ll announce a date for that once the show concludes after episode 12.
It's funny but I had the opposite thing watching the original V TV series again, I didn't like it as much the second time around. It's actually a lot more like a war movie in storytelling than a sci-fi show compared to Star Trek in hindsight. That aside that LJN visitor toy is still awesome, I love it's scale and the human face removal gimmick. The smaller scale stuff was nice too, I think LJN did a pretty good job with V, Magnum PI, and Dune for toys.
Rewatching the series for the third or fourth time - such great entertainment ❤
Thanks for watching! More coming soon
I've lost count

I'm using this series to brush up on my haggling skills for when I next come to your shop.
Major haggle-a-Thon! Excellent. Metropolis next. Get in!!
Loving this show! Thank you!
Glad you enjoy it!

I love this episode as I live in Stourbridge.

That’s thanks to the super duper genius that is Sir Matthew Holt!
Just happened upon your channel. Now I am hooked. This should be on BBC!
Thanks very much! Welcome aboard!
Another great bunch of shops!

I love this show.
I watch it all the way from Western Australia.
I was born in Bristol but I've not been back to the UK before.
Cool, I played The Claptrap in Stourbridge!
Great video again love the v toys
Joe definitely drives a hard bargain lol I LOVE it. Glad I subscribed to the channel keep up the good work !!!!

Great episode love the toy shops and certainly love the V figures , can't wait for the next one 👍

Wonderful episode! I love the mix of stores and items picked up and congrats on the V action figures.
those V figures are awesome
Eagerly awaiting episode 10
12 noon U.K. time tomorrow 👍 thanks for your support 👏👏
Nice selection of board games in the 2nd shop (including Buck Rogers revealed at 13:10). Also loved seeing Gav explain the Space Invaders mini-cabinet:) Thanks again for another great episode chaps.
Very good episode gents, really enjoyable. I've never seen those V figures so that was a great pickup, must look back over the series now!
Another great episode - Joe’s haggling is my favourite part of the series.
Why was Joe even thinking about it. Anyone who knows what they were looking at knows a £1000 was a very good deal. He should of grabbed them all. I've never EVER seen these before.!!!
Great episode lads !!
Yeah, he has regrets! I think your mind gets a bit fried when you have visited over 25 shops in 10 days!
My fave episode yet. I regularly pop into these shops especially King St Toys, Darren the owner is such a nice bloke. Haven’t been into Weird and Wonderful yet so I’m definitely going to have to visit. Keep these coming, loving the show. Wow those V figures 😍
Another cracking episode. Some great shops
Looking forward to seeing Metropolis next week.
Brilliant series. Really enjoying watching from afar (New Zealand, where we're still in lockdown and the toy shops are closed). Are you going to do a half hour special when Gav finds his Lego Velma?
Hi KiwiWookiee! Wish i'd found it during our lockdown/s :) But better late than never and you're right, it's a cracker of a channel.
Cool!
Great video...
I watched this whole episode dressed as a plate of toast. It was a buttery grand time. Crumbs.
Does anyone else shout BOOTLEGS in tandum with Gav in the intro.....? Highlight of my Sunday 😁
Would have loved the Captain Yellow
Fantastic episode! The entire time you were haggling over the V toys I kept seeing fully armored Dino-Riders in the glass case by the V figures and couldn't take my eyes off of them haha! It's rare to see the TRex out in the wild with it's armor.
That’s a favourite of ours as well. When we filmed this we had two in our shop otherwise that one would have been on our hit list for sure 👍

I've got a play worn dinky SPV that I'm going to turn into a batmobile!
16:00 Those Space Invaders badge sets are brand new ... RRP is £30 so a fiver was a steal.
Cheapest deal I've seen is £15.
I was a big fan of V when it first aired in the UK and had no idea that there were figures. They're way out of my price range (my wallet's staying in the microwave) but they were great to see. Most dramatic episode to date :)
I think Joe accidentally turned the microwave on on this trip!
@@leicestervintagetoyshop I'm picturing some Gerry Anderson type carnage on the back of that...or the origin of new Heston Blumenthal recipes

Another great show. BTW is the plural for Tardis's, Tardi? Or even Tardeye in Wolvo. ;)
Ha! I was thinking the same thing 😉
great to see you in wolves
l would off stuck the vz up at these prices 😆
Got a steal on the V set at £350
I had them as a kid. Got them from Spain. I know what happened to them. A wall, Air rifle and a teenager. Oops.
Always looking for the sweet deal so they can sell at the triple price. lol. Sorry I find this wrong.... I only watch for the vintage toys.
Thanks for watching! You find people buying and selling things wrong?

did you enjoy the wonka bar ??? lol
I wonder if David icke saw " v", and thought it was a gritty documentary..?
