Just finished the series. Great job guys. Really enjoyed it. 😊 thanks
Stumbled across this channel a few days ago now and I've really enjoyed their tours mostly for the nostalgia.
I'm not a collector but this show is addictive to me, I love spotting old toys I once had and toys I almost completely forgot existed.
I was extremely spoiled as a child I was given almost everything I asked for and my kid friends would love visiting my house from school because of the thousands of action figures I had, some of them couldn't resist stealing a few toys here and there, but I had so many I wouldn't realise till later.
I remember one of my friends parents returning a few star wars figures that was stolen back to my house after my birthday party and I remember my friend standing there at the door in tears because he had to give it back.
Those little bits of plastic really meant something to us kids.
Do I regret letting my mother bin everything once I became a teenager YES!.
I think after watching these episodes I could easily become a huge collector if I had money time and space, but I don't.
So I guess I let you guys live that life for me.
Defo gonna come visit your museum, shop looks amazing!
Loved it, will be up to visit
I remember staying up late at night sneaking down stairs on a school night to watch V, praying my parents didn't catch me. It was amazing. Those figures are very cool don't blame Gav for keeping them.
Utterly brilliant series, I'm going to miss it. :(
Great series. As a collector for over 40 years you have made me feel very old.
Thanks for this. Cracking job Matt 👍🏻 keep looking at that Carded Amy 😍 will be back to see you soon.
Such a great series. Well done 👏
Josh, you both do a proper curation of toy collecting. I have greatly enjoyed this series and look forward to your exploits Stateside.
This was a great series that led me into the loft to discover my Tongue-A-Saurus and promptly ring the guys, great to see it made the last episode 👍
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the episodes. They were a great mix of things I remember owning and recognising from the last 47 years and toys I never knew existed. Thanks gents
Fantastic end to a fantastic series..or is it..??!! C'mon guys..let's have it..!! It's been brilliant from day one..cheers..!!
Last episode!? No way ! 😳
We want more !
Come to visit the Chicago toy show!
Brilliant episode today. Looking forward to the next series!
Great show. Great hosts. Great humour. I can’t wait to visit the shop when I am next back home in the UK. I want those Visionaries vehicles so bad.
Well I have to say that was magic. Really enjoyed the series and look forward to number 2 whenever it happens. Thanks for putting it together!
great 12 weeks of entertainment, really interesting and bloomin funny too. Cant wait for the next series!!!!!!!
You definitely made the right choice getting the ludvig borga and Bart Gunn figures. I never even knew they had ones made
Thank Jo & Gav. Loved all the episodes. Was great & interesting. Going to come and look round your shop next year.
My family and I live in California, near Disneyland. We are always on the hunt for vintage 80's toys. This series was fantastic! You guys have a genuine love for toys and it really shines through. Thanks for an amazing trip through the toy world where you live. Now come to America and we'll show you around!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED!!!
I will miss every sunday morning ( here in Baja California Mex.) this show.
Muchas gracias amigos. Saludos.
superb series finale guys really enjoyed the whole series watching the people you meet and the places you travel to expertly assisted by Matt the camera man with the not very happy clapperboard. 2 kids in a sweet shop on their birthday on the 25th of December could not have bigger smiles on their faces. if money was no object most collectors would have the best but some of us have to settle for what we can afford. at the end of the day enjoy your toys as they say when the fun stops stop. very best regards Ian.
Just wanted to say thank you guys for making my Sundays a little brighter these past few months. It's been a genuine treat to do the laundry, the weekly food shop and all that drudgery, but know I'd have this to come back to. Thank you!
Such a great show guys, I am going to miss my weekly Sunday fix of Toy Shop on Tour.
I think I will have to start watching them again from episode 1.
Looking forward to watching the next series you film too.
Well done to everyone involved, especially Matt Holt with his filming, directing & editing of the show.
You guys rock & would love to maybe meet you all if you're in Dublin, when you take the tour over here to The Emerald Isle.
Thanks for making my Sunday's extra special these past few months. 👍😎
Amazing guys well done
So sad to see you guys finish this! Please do more at some point ?
Thsnkyou so much for the series xx
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series. I've even visited a few shops that I didn't know existed until they were featured on the show. Great stuff and I hope you do more!

What a fantastic series. Congratulations. Loved every minute of it.
Great series guys! Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you so much for making this fantastic show, it has been one of the highlights of my weekend these past 12 weeks. You three are a treat to spend time with, hopefully I'll one day be able to make it to Leicester England to check out the shop, spend a lot of money from the looks of it hahaha, and talk toys with y'all. I'm being quite serious when I say the end of the series brought a tear to my eye, so hopefully you really do have another one brewing.
Gav, I'm extremely happy to see you got your Velma, she has always been my favorite from the Scooby Doo gang too. Matt, the production quality was brilliant and the care and attention you gave each episode was always on full display. Joe, your energy and enthusiasm for collecting makes my nerd heart happy, so never let that go! If you ever start a Patreon or anything like that so you can keep making content, I'll be one of the first to sign up. Best of luck on all your endeavors, fellas!
Thanks so so much! This series has been amazing, and super happy you will be doing another one.
Such a fantastic series. Enjoyed it so much.
Wonderful series guys. Really enjoyed it. 27 years dealing I’m toys n comics myself. This show was right up my street.
Excellent series - the BBC should commission a new series: 'Vintage Toy Roadshow'. Antiques Roadshow but updated for 2022!
Brilliant show! Loved every minute of it and love the fact that I’m that final scene I was hiding round the corner of the shop being as quiet as I could :)
Bring on the American tour !!
Absolutely fantastic series…great edit by Matt…can’t wait for series two.
Binged watched all 12 episodes. Watched the European ones before. Great videos. Frustrating being all the way up in Sweden and seeing all the great shops in England. Realising all the great Matchbox, Corgi, Dinky; Britains and Airfix toys I miss out on.
At 1:07 in the glass case behind you with the Battlekings there´s one item that looks like some kinda promotional piece? Is that for sale?
Already looking forward to season 2!

Wonderful series from top to bottom. I especially appreciate the very high quality of the filming and editing. I'm certain your following will grow and grow.
Fingers crossed for another series!
Fantastic guys. What a shame it’s finally over… I’m sure you will be back 👍🏼 maybe international toy shop on tour 😉 “ITSOT” and what a great ending to see Gav made up receiving the illusive LEGO Velma 😊 Well done guys and hope to see you soon.
Woo hoo a great way to end this season and can’t wait for season 2 😎👍🏻
Great video...
Absolutely fantastic series from start to finish, really enjoyed it all guys, hopefully a season 2 next year 🤞😉🤞
Superb series. Really enjoyed it! Roll on series 2.
Joe I saw you buy that robotic street shark and I immediately fell in love with it. I had to get one myself, and after a bit of hunting I got it from a good lad from the UK. Thanks for getting me into a line I never thought I'd be into again, haha!
Great series, just hope there is a season 2!
Awesome series chaps. Loved every minute, gutted they are over. Planning a trip to sunny Leicester in the very near future 😀
Amazing series, I think we need some videos of your guys personal collection. Would love to see that
Go and watch our new ‘at home with’ series!
Fantastic series loved it! You guys are brilliant and do good work. Best thing I've seen on tinternet. 😉😉😉😉😉👍👍👍👍
Great show, really enjoyed every episode... but you should've bought that graded Sandcrawler. It was a beauty.
Thanks for showing the videos! You guys are amazing! I will definitely go to the toy shops in the UK to buy more Transformers!
Cool vid!
Thanks for the show lads really enjoyed watching each week..
I can't believe the mark up you put on things. I will be expecting a barter lmao 🤣
Great series chaps, really enjoyable, lots of memories with all the toys and those I wish I’d have kept. Series 2 please
Well done guys, loved the entire series. Hope to get up to Leicester one day to see the shop.
What a triumph! Congratulations to all three of you on such a fantastic series. I hope to visit the shop at some point in 2022! Greetings from Sheffield!
I've been quietly watching these each week as they've come out and I have to say - thank you for brightening my sundays! It's great to see the passion you both clearly have for toys of all kinds. I'm a Doctor Who & Star Wars collector myself but I've found it really interesting learning about all the different types and ranges of toys throughout these videos. I'd love to visit your store some day 😀
Great news on another series
Lads it been an absolute treat following you all on your travels. Hope to one day meet you at a ‘con or even make a pilgrimage to the store.
Those Count Duckula Clip On - I have never seen that in my life ever. I think you have the largest world's supply of them.
I've had really bad toothache this week and struggled to sleep at night. When the pain got too much I'd put an episode of TYOT on and it would take my mind off the pain for a while. Such a brilliant series and I've learnt a lot along the way too, so I just wanted to thank you for creating and uploading 😊 PS tooth is being taken out Tuesday 😬
Joe is wearing a skyway t-shirt right now and we have just filmed what we think will be our best episode yet in Germany. Thanks so much for your comment series two is going to be amazing we hope! Hope the tooth goes well.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop Yes Joe! Haha that's awesome, I had one but my wife ruined it in the wash 🙄 Can't wait to see what you guys have got in store for us all, cheers
I am a fan of loose figures for the following reasons: Cheaper, takes up less space, you can display them nicer, you can pick them up and use them as they were intended
Awesome I’m sooooo jealous
a slightly different version of pretty woman waving/giving thumbs up in the opening credits. One wonders how many more variations we can expect?
Brilliant will you be doing it next year can't wait still say Midlands is best for toys
Hurrah ! Gav finally got a Velma.
I don't get grading either.
If I wanted a figure or model encased, I'd leave them on their original card .... which I don't ... I rip them out of their card and chuck the card away. Same with the boxes.
I do have a graded figure though .... It's Fred the Homepride man.
Minty toys are nice but if it’s loose but yet complete, I prefer toys in “gently played with” condition. I don’t know 🤷🏽♂️… call me looney but, once a toy has been cherished by a child, is when the toy receives its magic… for me.
You guys are adorable, the dude's got his lego velma xD
Just goes to show you, the power of tele... internet content creation.
if i ever go to england, i definatley will stop by to check out the store, in the hopes of getting some cool stuff i'm on the look out for fro more ten 10 / 20 years now.
I should tell my local comicshop, to do an online thing on youtube, maybe the store will get more traction,
i mean, your youtube channel has better production value, than those hacks that did Comicbookmen, that are friends with lunchbox that downed his career with rebooting his old movie titles, after making trash movies after he told that he was to stop making movies, you know the guy.
Oh wow i bought 7 of those Thundercat Tongue Toys in a storage container i purchased a few months back. 3 are still sealed as new. Not a dent in them. Immaculate in fact. Not into toys so had no clue and still have no interest in them. Was actually going to give them away 🤣🤷🏼♂️
Yeah you might want to sell those! Slowly! 1 at a time on eBay. Should do very well
Schrödinger's Vehicle Maintenance Energizer?
How much for the green carded WWF figs? Need them for the collection.
Sharks have blow holes? Who Knew?
I do find I prefer the "soft packaging" approach some are using now, clam shell with floating card-back, displays great but you can open it up and play with the toy, best of both worlds.
Controversy is a funny thing since Toy Polloi gets heat from repairing old toys, so you got people thinking worn or broken examples should just remain that way for all eternity. O_o???
I think the older the toy gets the more likely it will lean towards preservation/archiving efforts, I had some hand-me-down toys but that just extends play time one more generation barely Ie. not a lot of active Toy Story Woodys out there lol.
That's the thing with the tongueasaurus, it is shit. The best thing is the box art. Been collecting Thundercats for years and never felt the urge to get one even when it was a few hundred quid. The prices now, not a chance.
I don't understand grading the Play Sets and having them in their constituent parts and not built!
Don't the graders give an explanation on how they came to their grading results?
Grading has very little to do with protecting the figures. If you want to get a case you can do that without an arbitrary percentage score sticker.
22:24 Hook a Duck.
How does it work being a toy dealer how can shop owners well it you cheap just for you to sell it for more ? 😂
The Paletoy Death Star is rubbish! It looks nothing like it! 😂
