It's nice what Gavin brings, that left field stuff, really balances things out so it's not just high end Star Wars constantly. Even the smaller items can have a lot of charm to them, forgot all about Spit Balls and some of those fast food toys are very cool.
hi guys great to see toy shops in my local area i used to buy all my toys from matlock when i was a wee nipper and visit alfreton reguarly. compulsive viewing as always great entertainment cant wait till next week take care all the best ian.
You’ll like episode 10 it has a castle in it! Where are you from out of interest Arthur? It’s great to know that the series appeals to people outside the United Kingdom.
@@mgl76 Thanks. From Baja California,Mexico. We are neighbors to USA in Calicornia. We had a really hot 2021 year,we hope this winter more rainy... My wife and i really like much of UK,even the greatest music bands of all time.

I've bin off sick from work with flu and just watching this has made me feel better already. Cheers gents 😉😉😉👍👍👍👍 Love it great show!!! Awesome as always. 🤩🤩
That’s great… not that you had flu, that it cheered you up a bit. That’s why I became a filmmaker as I didn’t like school and TV was my escape & boost on a miserable sunday night to daydream about the places and people on the old box. Hope you’re feeling better & still some fun episodes on the way.
Back with another great episode. When you got to your mates house it was the perfect opportunity to make a joke about number 10 downing street LOL. His personal collection of Palitoy Star Wars was amazing! Fantastic episode!
Great episode again chaps, cheers...especially enjoyed seeing the Buck Rogers figures at 7:09 (the board game plays a lot like 'Risk', but in space:) All the best.
Hello Lad’s! Slim Pickings, but still a Great Show! The Diecast Palitoy Imperial Tie Bomber- had one as a Child- it was bought from Tesco’s along with my Boba Fett Slave 1. I didn’t see them that often? I didn’t even think that they were that rare? But I really didn’t like it as the colours were all wrong and it really didn’t measure up to the Studio Model. I traded it a long time ago! I have my Diecast Millennium Falcon and Slave 1. A Friend wanted to give me his Palitoy Imperial Star Destroyer Complete with Blockade Runner in Pretty Mint Condition. But I told him that it is quite valuable and that he’d most likely want to keep hold of it! I had the Y-Wing Bomber too. That got traded! As Children we were always swapping toys? It doesn’t happen a lot these days? Sometimes it used to cause pandemonium! Just the other day I offered to trade a Mint Vintage Yak Face for an MPC Cargo Pod Space 1999 Eagle Transport Model Kit? I thought that some one would have had my arm off wanting to trade, but as yet nothing? Their running out of time as I’ve possibly just found someone who might be able to sell me one?! What is your Grail Toy? I’m not sure that I have one? I collect model kits mostly now! Keep em Coming Lads! Very Best
I love that I stayed up just long enough to see a Star Fleet jigsaw. I really need to get down to see you guys - guess which website I set up back in the day!
Talking about starfleet..have you heard the theme song from Brian may..??!! Came out as a mini-LP in the 80's..!! Worth checking out just for Eddie van Halen's solo..!!
Star Fleet had a couple of little model kits though, I know this because I have them in my attic! There was also an X-Bomber and Dai X robot, Takara I believe. I don't have them though.
@@gavinpate1110 I think I have two of the Mark models Gelma Fighters, one Dai X and maybe one X-Bomber, not sure if I'm remembering that correctly though. The thing about these kits is they are tiny and pretty shit, but it's the fact they existed right?!!
The alien stompers rereleased a couple years back type in Reebok Alien Stomper and you can pick em up in the weyland yutani box for about £130ish there's even colonial Marine and Final Battle variants.
That shop display for OER Zoids has got me dusting off my collection again, just putting Gustav or is it Red Salamander together. The names changed so much! Those AD&D LJN toys are epic too.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop oh that's great to know, I was gutted when I read the shop had shut, I live near Matlock so I was going to pop over. Obviously I've been into the Vintage Toy Exchange, a great shop I recently bought a cheeky little Stay Puft from. I'll have to come and visit your shop in Leicester, the wife won't be able to get me out of it haha
On you website do you think you could list all the shops you have visited and where they are? So if we are on the road we can stop in. I only suggest this because google is poor at vintage toy shop identification.
I find it so disrespectful, going to a new shop, saying this price is very reasonable, can you do it cheaper...they lower the price and then you ask for it even cheaper again with a camera pointing in their face. Makes you not very likeable.

Ah, Jim "mr star wars" Stevenson!
I remember him from the toy boom
Of the mid nineties, he always used to advertise in the small press.
R.i.p, Jim.

Such a wonderful series. Many thanks for putting it together.

Great episode and a couple of vintage Dalek items at last - although the Dodge the Daleks game was so naff...
OMG star fleet stuff so many memory s
That Zoids display was killer! Touching to see Gav get all emosh over it - I was too and I don't have a story behind it!

Have you got a Velma yet???..you've got me on the hunt ..asking at the boot this morning for you 😄..no luck yet but shall keep asking for you..😄
