That’s what got me too - I was born in 1991 and grew up on captain scarlet and then batman later on, these two have reignited my love toys and collecting. I think I’ve watched every video on tour. Got really into it really quick. Thanks to the passion. Thank you Gav and thank you Joe hope to come to the shop one day, I’m from the North so Blackpool is my closest haunt. Keep doing what your doing guys 🫶🏻❤️ big Love Harry from Costa Del Morecambe ✌🏻😊
Great video chaps. Gav, the Mysterion car is an iconic Kustom car built by Big Daddy Ed Roth of Rat Fink fame. His likeness was on the backing card. A plastic model of it became one of Revells best sellers. Cool car.
More T-Shirt idea - "It's Been Amazing" and "I didn't have a TV" - love this show guys !!! You have reminded me of so many things I'd forgotten about. Won't be your cup of tea possibly but I was given recently a Wombles Orinoco Toothbrush holder that I recall having as a toddler probably around 1975. I know so many guys around my age reliving their childhoods. This is Awesome stuff.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop thanks for the suggestion! Just googled him, now I need a pair 😭 Love the Red Shadow figures in general. Dave from Toy Polloi has brought me a couple over the years. They are all fantastic. Red Wolf is my personal fav - what a bada$$.
What a lovely surprise to wake up to a new episode. So many wonderful toys and things you never see. And of course visiting old friends in new spaces. Cheers!
53:13 My favourite Enid Blyton books were the "Mystery" series with the Five Find-Outers and Dog .... 15 books starting with "The Mystery of the Burnt Cottage" and ending with "The Mystery of Banshee Towers".. Then there were the "R Mystery" books (someties known as the "Barney Mystery" books or "Snubby" books .... 6 books starting with "The Rockingdown Mystery" and ending with "The Ragamuffin Mystery". Goes without saying that I have them all, I read them to my daughter and now I'm reading them to my grand-daughter. A good excuse to delve into them again while into my 60's.
The 'R' Mystery books were my favourites! I didn't even know they had that name as a kid, but I referred to them that way because of the titles. Then the internet comes along and you find that's how everyone else referred to them!
Great stuff! A whole box of sealed scented erasers! Gold! That Enid Blyton / Watership Down room gave me the warm fuzzies! Everyone had their Enid Blyton faves when growing up. Never seen that large Hazel figurine before either...
Wow I was not expecting that Enid Blyton collection to hit the nostalgia button like it did. Wonderful collection. You guys always find a way of introducing us to new stuff. Love it! Thanks again Joe, Gav and Matt - another great watch 👏 When John put in that copy of Watership Down I almost teared up - what a wuss am I 😂
Those yoghurt pots took me right back!, I remember when I was a kid and my mum took me to Morrisons where. Darth Vader was appearing to promote the new Star Wars yoghurt range, as a 7/8 year old I was so excited and it blew my Mind to shake hands with Darth Vader , my favourite flavour was always the Chewbacca one 😆
Amazing pieces discovered, loved the action force collection and the Star Wars collection. What wonderful trading card packs you got also , Dragons Lair packs were lovely.
Just started collecting February this year with action man. Now Star Was Force of Destiny 12" figures. Now these small action force figures look amazing Great stuff
Mad! Brought back long forgotten memories. I had the SAS and Frogman action force. Completely forgotten about those. I might have to scour my parents attic in hope 😄
You guys should do a show where Joe watches a classic film that he’s never seen. Gives his reaction and then you can both show the toys off and see if you’re opinions have changed.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop I’m really annoyed I typed you’re rather than your though. 😊 would be fun to hear his expectations based on just the toys then how he feels after seeing the film. 👍
This video brought back many memories, the books ,star wars items & Watership down items. Microsoft your shop sometime in the future . Just found you recently & check your site regularly.
When a cool collector showcases his most rare piece, like the Watership Down poster, and if it isn't bad form, ask how much they would value that piece at? I'd really like to know...
Well done Another entertaining show. Would love to get the Deckard blaster you showed. Joe you have to watch the original Dune. The opening credits have the cool Brian Eno prophecy theme. David Lynch was hamstrung making this film. Keep the shows coming guys!
Another fantastic video and tour guys - really feeling your reignited enthusiasm for that Star Wars merch, really takes me back too! Btw, digging the new van - those wheels! Must be a Syncro, right? Taking TSOT off-road soon?!
Ive got a full box of TMNT 1990 trading cards and the box has a big old permanent marker X on it like those Indy cards, anyone have any idea why that is?
We’re in the van filming our next show and saw your post. It’s when they were end-of-line and an X was put on so they couldn’t be returned for a refund. So to make sure the box doesn’t go back into circulation.
$1350... $1000 🤔 more figs and a transformer? I'll give you $1200. Well now Joe...it's up to $1500 for being greedy! 😅 Negotiating on camera is one of the best stunts ever created because people want to be agreeable when recording their behavior, even to their own detriment. And King Midas, the psychologist/negotiator wins again! 💵 💷 💰 🧸
Kick myself for getting rid of my action man stuff. Matchbox and dinky cars and Hornby trainsets now. Had them right up to the early 2000s. To think these little figures only cost a couple of quid.
I don't know how long you've been at this but I found a few months back and I think your sound as a pound. @@leicestervintagetoyshop oh dear 😂😂 forgive me I've had a few beers. I meant to write this on a different video looooll I love you guys though, toy shop on tour is the best show in the world ever!!!!
Does anyone else find it strange watching one toy seller haggling with another, just to go and then sell the product in their own shop to make a profit. Felt sorry for that guy selling the silver hawks.
Well Spiro has asked us back so he can’t be that unhappy. Also we won’t make much out of those at all (if anything) but we wanted them for our shop as we don’t see them often. Lots of dealers buy off us and it’s how the wheels of business turn.
One thing I really loved as a kid but not found anywhere now, are Letraset rub-down transfers. Not only lettering but TV and film characters as well. I remember rubbing my Wacky Races rub-downs onto my Kraftwerk "Autobahn" album cover and my Perishers rub-downs onto my Rush - "Hemispheres" album. A waste, but at least I still have them. How much for a full unused sheet of those? The silly glitter peelable stickers available these days aren't a patch on the old Letraset.
I'm too young to have any nostalgia for ANY of these toys but it's Joe and Gav's passion for them that keeps me coming back to these videos
Their enthusiasm is definitely infectious!
Man that’s an awesome review! Thanks so much for watching
