His weakness has always been defense. At every club he managed. Even with a bigger budget than all other clubs combined he couldnt get thw best defensive record of the league
Correct. They have being doing that in the last 7 or 8 games. You would expect that the players be drilled that the last 10 minutes of the game is always crucial. That's basic football. Some defenders players can't even shoot when it matters. Gone were the days of goal scoring left and right backs. United really need to sell some of the existing players, simply not good enough. And the back room staff had to go too,either because of mismanagement in training and recoveries of players. It has to be over training or lacked of it that contributed to the injuries after injuries of the injured.
5 times Champions league winner Casemiro tried to head the ball back to his keeper with 2 Burnley players in the box. How do we blame EtH for that? 😂

More and more it is displayed that it was actually Overmars, that made the formations and subs, at Ajax back then. When things in a match went south, he called one of Erik's assistants and they gave the message to him. Inside Ajax, a lot of people knew this. Ten Hag was used as a frontman by Overmars, because they found out real soon, that ten Hag himself was a tactical noob.

I can accept that United fans are being asked to be patient with Ten Hag but I cannot be patient with complaining about VAR. EVen with the current roster of players, United should not be in a situation where they are relying on penalties to break a tie. Burnley shouldn't be allowed to come to Old Trafford with any hope of getting a point. Again, the midfield, led by Bruno, is weak and undisciplined. If Ten Hag's desired structure isn't working with the current crop of players then it is time to shelve that structure and try another style of play. Try anything other than the status quo.

@@vaughanos5350 Those penalties have more to do with lack of on-field leadership, overall strategic and tactical disorganization, and a group of players who have checked out of the season (and possibly out of playing for United). It probably also has a lot to do with refs being tired of dealing with Bruno's sulking. Watch the last episode of The Overlap. The panel talk about interviewing refs on the topic of referee bias, and how being a snivelling little prick on the pitch causes the ref to make calls in favour of the other team. It's human nature. Just like you telling me to "hussh" lets everyone know a bit about you.

We should be making decisions based on what wins games, not just what saves pennies. If Onana is a mistake, own it, learn from it, and fix it. But don’t try to sell it as a savvy move gone sour. We here in Holland already😮 knew Onana was far over the hill. After suspension for drug abuse/doping at Ajax and leaving there after making lots of conflicts, he did a poor job at Inter as a goalie. But hey, Ten Hag then said: "Buy Onana" 😂😂😂 The rest is history.

This season comes down to a lack of quality squad depth, no consistency or top quality in key defensive & midfield & attacking positions of the 11 main starters (except Mainoo & Garnacho)
ETHs stubborness & poor communication style, poor coaching from all the coaches across the board.
The first couple of points still stem from the accumulation of recruitment & financial mistakes of the last 10 years...although we're 2 seasons in with ETH & i've not seen enough to truly believe the team will see a miraculous turnaround because unless we bring in 10 good quality, energetic, hungry players & maybe sell 5...then we'll continue to see this instability & inconsistency in the team & results.
I would like to give ETH the benefit of the doubt for at least 1 more year & add the squad depth we need but i dont think Ineos will start a fresh season with ETH.
I believe too that ETHs communication lets him down (despite efforts to learn) - we see it in the pressers after 2 years its still unclear exactly what he tries to convey.
He has however shown resilience & at least pushed the players but we all know even this season the players have let us down again

You can't explain a problem for a whole season and not address it by setting up your team differently. Amy coach that doesn't do that is clueless.
As much as I like him to succeed and the players are definitely to be blamed heavily this season, he is yet to change formation, his technical game is poor, his subs are poor , he can't control or change a game.

This team would break the heart of any manager . I agree with ETH about the young players and injuries and they way they must be cared for ................the whole premiership is riddled with injuries . The United defence is different every week , the team is often totally different from game to game therfore there is no continuity . I think ETH made a lot sense in his interview .....................hopefully things will improve in the future , but I do fear for the FA Cup Final . We might just get walloped . But a Cup Final appearance is a bonus when the season is examined .
