Unsurprisingly after Cliff's death, those two shows in late '86 and '87 have a real rage to them. Incredibly fast and James basically screams "aaaagh" at the end.
5:13 That made me assume that Jason started saying "Motha-ef'er" during the "DIE" chant on Creeping Death. I was curious to know when he started singing that.
Cliff’s backing vocals are such a killer addition-brings so much depth! Would've been awesome if he jumped in on every chorus, like Kirk does. His energy really added something special!
This video doesn't show it, really, but I love the later shows when, in the lead up to the actual vocal, the crowds starting chanting DIE early for a good while in anticipation. Great crowd moment that grew organically over time.
I love the version since 1984 'til nowadays, in other words, I mean, it Wants to say that i like it in all the years Metallica playing it alive in all sense! 🤟😎🤘 yeaah!!!
Jason made creeping death legendary
100%
It was already legendary before he joined
That "muthafucka DIEEE!" never sounded the same without him!
You fool! You've forgotten the mfers who wrote it made it legendary! Cliff did the backing vocals for it first onstage!
nope
When I first heard jason go "MOTHERFUCKER DIE" I thought it was the coolest shit ever
Hearing the early versions is so weird because you dont hear the crowd screaming it
Yeah, wish we could hear it
thats because those are recordings from soundboards basically raw audio
stage soundboard recordings
Soundboard audio is like that.
Can’t hear it in any of them
Cliff: DIE 😈
Jason: DIE 👹
Rob: Die 🤨
Kirk: hey guys
Trujillo needs improvement.
Rob: Die? It's okay if you don't!
7:40 Nobody in the band matched Jasons energy, Jason burned for his music.
Cliff🤷♂️
@@Doomguysdeadbunny ...During this setup of the band. Cliff was great.
i love cliffs backing vocals i wish he did it every time though like how kirk does it, cliff seems to do it every other time
He does it once, gets a headbang in, then does it again, repeat
Unsurprisingly after Cliff's death, those two shows in late '86 and '87 have a real rage to them. Incredibly fast and James basically screams "aaaagh" at the end.
I love creeping death its their best song

2:14 hearing Cliff yelling to sing with them got me more hyped than it should have
Didn't know that was Cliff until you pointed it out. Dude sounds awesome.
My fav is 5:03 bc we got LUCIFER on backing vocals

DIEEEEEE!!!!!! I absolutely love creeping death, my second favorite Metallica song, first is blackened 🤘
Love your channel man
blackened is freaking awesome
I’ve seen you about 20 times in comment sections
Fan of ur channel lol

10:13 and here comes the turning point…
it sounds like there just barking BIE BIE BIE
This is when they went full pg for the kids lol
@@goldenwolf8081this was just their worst era, have you seen recent footage?
Wish I had the foresight to go see them while I was young and Jason was conjuring up demons in this song
3:49 that mess up was crazy, what’s crazier is that it’s not the first time he’s done that
Again?? Well i said again:
No doubt it this is the beast song of all Ride The Lightning and I don't plan to discuss it 🎤🎸🎵🎶
7:14 i'm honored that they played this version in my country
When Rob got hired they should have changed the chant to "Perhaps you'd choose to accept a minor inconvenience"
Cliff’s backing vocals are such a killer addition-brings so much depth! Would've been awesome if he jumped in on every chorus, like Kirk does. His energy really added something special!
3:30 exactly 20 years before I was born. Cool
7:15 ❤
You have to wonder after all these years why they bother showing Kirk whisper the DIE 😂
I mean like you can hear him before 1988 but after that you only hear Jason
This video doesn't show it, really, but I love the later shows when, in the lead up to the actual vocal, the crowds starting chanting DIE early for a good while in anticipation. Great crowd moment that grew organically over time.
@@DamnTheManInc didnt add it because of the length, the video would be 25+ mins long
And we would've watched every second ❤ @@Ryu_Ake

Metal without bass 🤣
@@hunterotails2015 ok ok🤣live was badass af tho
Will never be as good as 89-92.
Toronto ‘86 is insane
Hampton coliseum will forever be the greatest cliff burton backing vocal performance. Also one of his last, RIP cliff bar burton
This song live from 89-93 was akin to letting a bear escape his cage
I could watch 14 and half minutes of this🤘🏻
With Jason they has their peak, after that, involution.
It was my favorite song for a long time 🤘🏼
Here's somethin' y'all did NOT know: the DIE! part came from Exodus' 'Die By His Hand'.
@@Foxx81362 who's y'all?
1:You guys. 2:A lil bit of history,&3:Kirk added it.
kirk has said that when he wrote the riff the idea of the chant of die came with the riff itself, its still kirk idea
it was weird hearing james actually sing it without the crowd by his hand
Absolute favorite song🔥

3:48 Kirk, wtf?
BEST FUCKING SONG!!!!!!
Not hearing Jason's "mother fucker die!" makes it seem empty
No surprise it gets less heavy into the 2000s onwards
Not including the big 4 from 2010 in bulgaria but the one from Yankee stadium is insane
0:40 the guitar played a wrong note
Very Good 😊
Rob sounds like UH UH OH UH
December 7th 1992 was peak Creeping death but June 5th 1993 is very close 2nd
