Everyone shit on James, Kirk, and specially Lars. But never have I ever seen someone ever complain or make fun of any of Metallica's bassists. All 3 of Metallica's bassists are loved and respected by both Metallica fans and the rest of the metal community.
@@Ryu_Ake I agree and disagree. I think Trujillo doesn't get the "recognition" he deserves. He's an amazing bassist, extremely talented. But he's not known for his work in Metallica, more or less his work in Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious Grooves. He is fairly respected, just not recognized among Metallica's bassists.
What I love is how absolutely beautiful Jason’s Solos can be. They make you feel something. In the beginning of his time with Metallica, his aggressive solos are hit and miss, almost like he’s trying to be Cliff. But every time he sits and plays it’s just soulful playing and really feels like him. Just a compliment to my favorite bassist. 🖤
All of them have such distinctive styles that set them apart from the others, Cliff was more technical, Jason was melodic and Rob was the funkiest but they’re all fucking awesome

The truth is that as a bassist I really like Cliff's, solos but I like Jason's more since they fulfill their function and sound like a bass solo, while Cliff's sound more like a guitar solo.

What I loved was that people started clapping during Cliff’s solo during the Roskilde Festival, it shows how much a bass/bassist can be loved
