Been playing since 2014/15 and my biggest improvement came about 3 years ago by adjusting the sound and just listening. If I come across a bad guy that uses his ears also, then it's a battle of witts, which really makes the gameplay really fun. The sound doesn't do great in finding aircraft cause I'll look where I hear it but either it already flew by or is behind me and that is a pain. That front lower glacious plate on the kv's is always a good spot to kill em quick. Good vid man.
the biggest mistakes you can make in War Thunder is to think that the gameplay in higher BRs get better ... its just get wors and broke mechanik will ruin your day ... low to mid BR is where the most fun is (up to the late WW2 Tanks)... so Premiums on the high Tiers are more or less useless the low ones are great and you can Talsiman the ones you like most and play them with a nice fun Line-up!... Target for War thunder is to find you Niche BR where you feel right, like the Vehicles and have fun and not to target the end of the line! (where the gamplay get Toxic)
Take it from me I have over 2300 hours in the game and I've seen everything but the biggest thing I see is people really trying to hard like calm down think and do the smart move also only grinding one tech tree at a time space your time out between multiple countries you will have more fun when you can reliably go from nation to nation to play different tanks
Ive been grinding Italy stuck at 7br and palso trying to 7.7 on planes also pain. Tried 1br air sweden. Twas relaxing and fun. So ima try get Germany till like 5 br since i have some event stuff
You saved my life! 7.1 surround sound in game setting is very inaccurate. I had it for a long time and didn't know why tanks are located at a different direction than their engine sound. Much better back to stereo. Thanks!
I also had DTS spatial sound activated, not sure if its interaction with in-game surround sound was problematic. But I did feel improvement after switching to stereo in game. Agree with you! @@hav3nWT
hi, i am one of this Veterans how play the game since beta (neerly 4000h). there is one why to control the map rotation (a little bit at least). when you constant playing the same BRs you will get always the same Maps how are in this rotation. when you play a lot of lowtier in specialy the same BR you will get easy the chance to learn the maps on this BR Range on higher BRs more maps get in the pool. its an good idear to sit on one BR for a while and when you have resurched a complet new lineup swith to it and do the same. first line up shoult be around 1.3-2.3 than 2.7-3.3 than 3.7-4.3 and so on. many still build the lineups with far to differnt BRs what can work even on an disadwantage. for me the Premium Panzer IV J works on 5.3 far better than the Tiger or Panther. often 4-12 kills in a PzIV compare to the Tiger often only get 3 in the same match and less good on his BR... dont know why, i think the overlooked the PanzerIV far easyer in higher BR than the big cats?
So on computer if you left click while in binos it will turn the turret and aim where the binos are pointing (you might need to wait on it to line up). If you hold left click while in binos the turret will attempt to always look where you are looking with the binos. Once you settle on a target... left click (aka fire) and then shift to gunners site while still holding left click. It will fire immediately and your sites should already be on target. Binos -> left click to aim -> then hold left click down -> press (in my case) shift to swap into gunner view -> vehicle will fire.
@@hav3nWT That only works if the target is nearby, at least for me. My question which I guess wasn't conveyed really well was how do I adjust my gun's elevation in sniper mode without moving my mouse. I noticed in the video that your elevation increases while your mouse aim doesn't move.
@@hav3nWT you got me started now lol. absolutely, adversity makes you better but you always gotta walk before you can run. i myself have the ability to not let my ambition exceed my worth so i didn't go up past 2.0 and realistic until i knew all the aspects of arcade and had my crews lvl'd up and about 1.6 million SL and Britain and most lines unlocked to rank 4 but not purchased. arcade is harder in my opinion. my specialty in life is psychology and financing. game psychology, all games have a mental dick you must avoid getting penned with by having good budgeting skills just like IRL such as NOT buying everything the game throws in ur face and taking advantage of free things like the few hundred GE you get with new account. instead of trying to spend it all or save it all for the other free GE you wont get, spend it on your crew skills on whatever line you settle into, its the best bang for your buck. 30 GE gets you like 100 CP i think. i was able to get all 5 of my crews to lvl 20+ and still had enough to buy an A13 premium that i used to get a crew caught up if the others got too far ahead. lastly, having more than 5 crews literally slows you down and there's no other point other than laziness of not wanting to swap vehicles between battles and half the time there's not even enough of the same br in a line to have 5 of the same br in game. PS mufuckas got 7 crews at lvl 1 with no expert in 4.0 br bcuz RUclips said git gud, get tiers and use binoculars? nah dude this cant be the road to git gud or else it would be working by now. TLDR i know lol

I wish it wasn’t so but it seems that simpler is often better. I’m going to keep playing with it for now.

How do I adjust my sniper aim to line up with bino? I don't know the keybind and what I tried hasn't worked

@@hyperion8431 i have it bound to my mouse wheel. Easy to not move.
@@hav3nWT What's the keybind?
you didnt even mention expert qualification and crew skills, too many lvl 1 crews in 6.0 and its pathetic.
Good call out! Keep’em coming
I'm not loving the current mission to play American tanks... I'm a French main...
Embrace the low tier STAB! You’ll be spoiled after when you go back to the f*nch tanks! (Seriously how are they moving the Char to 8.0?!)
why does everyone think beginners belong in realistic mode? its time to stop.
The vid is about ground rb
@@neisuez5703 the video is for "beginners" tho.
I think they belong in BRs 1.0 - 4.0-ish. But sometimes you got to take your lumps and learn the hard way. I always learn better that way.
