Way back when I was just out of college, a roommate made cheese and onion bread. She sauteed onions, let them cool to room temperature, then kneaded them into the bread dough along with chunks of cheddar cheese. The bread was delicious!

Gosh watching your babies grow up is awesome.. i dont have kids and live vicariously thru others 😂😂😂 you should try replacing half of your flour for the fried chicken with some plain instant mashed potatoes!! It makes the absolute best coating!! So crunchy and yummy!! I do it for fried pork chops too ❤❤

Good job on the cheese bread, Peter ! I know I’d like that! I make tomato bread: sesame topped Italian bread sliced, then top with butter or margarine , garlic powder, thin tomato slices, dash of salt and mozzarella cheese slices. Bake at 400 til done to your liking. I never found one person who doesn’t absolutely love it. And Joe you are gonna get so strong doing your exercises and helping your mom!
You can plant a garden and it still not work out. We had somewhat of a garden this year. But the tomatoes did terribly. So we had to buy 50 lb of tomatoes(on sale) to can. But we do have like 4 gallons of frozen grated zucchini and 5 lb of jalapenos frozen as well as 2 gallons worth of chopped frozen bell peppers. Cucumbers turned bitter though due to the hot weather and inconsistent watering. Don't feel bad about not planting one. Even the Bible says to let the land rest.
Every year is different; I think that’s what draws me back to gardening. Each year’s weather is good for a different vegetable. Good luck as the garden wraps up.

LOL! I so often end up doing the recipes for showers at the last minute!!
We have a swing set that needs to come down soon too. A grandson is still playing on it but it’s had a good life! Our youngest is 13 and our oldest is 33 (5 kids). (This swing set was just for the youngest two, the other three had other swing sets over the years).

I didn’t do a garden either, tomato’s in big pots, peppers and cukes in a whiskey barrel. We have a nice family greenhouse they are known for their begonias, I always buy the smaller plants with blossoms just getting ready to open, every time I went to the garden I kept saying what is that smell, when I pulled the tag out I realized it said fragrant falls, all the ones I bought are fragrant, they all seem to be hanging begonias but the smell is unbelievable and colors are beautiful. I never knew they had scented ones, I usually save the tubers and replant every year but couldn’t find them, so bought new. But I’m going to remember where I put them this year. I see a lot of applesauce in your future.

When I was a camper for many years, we cooked the dough twists over the campfire. Then we filled them alternately with butter and raspberry jam. So delicious. Thankyou Peter for a great reminder! 🥰🇬🇧

Good day Jennifer and family! I hope all are well😊. Haha, I had to laugh when you told the story of burning your food processor! I did the same thing to my bissell crosswave mop vac! Boy, I really love 💕 that thing! It mops and vacuums the floor at the same time! Well anyway, I plugged the darn thing next to my pot of sauce on the stove. As I was mop vaccuming, I began to smell burning! When I turned around, the corn found its way to the stove and lit on fire! Funny thing is, even though it’s all melted now, it still works! My son thinks I’ll eventually electrocute myself - and I might, but at least when they come and get me, my floor will be clean! Lmao😂 Also, I do agree that your yellow petunias are the prettiest! Just so 🥰. I am not having much luck with my veggie plants this year. I mostly have bell and jalapeno peppers and a few cucumbers. No zucchini or hardly any tomatoes. My peach tree hardly produced either. I think the extreme heat we’ve been having here in New York is making them suffer. It’s just too hot; being in the mid 90s almost every day these past few weeks.
Let me know if you like your new Hamilton Beach food processor. I bought the same exact one and managed to break it. The quality was not as good as the one I had before it. So I landed up buying the Cuisinart from Costco that also came with the veggie chopper gear. It’s very good, but still not as good as the old ones. Or, it could just be me getting old! Whatever😅
Oh my about the garden…been waiting to see you and the kids out in your garden…you always seem to grow your garden in such a relaxing way and get so much produce…after a few years of no garden, plots in a community garden and or plants in pots I’m back in business with a large raised bed garden…you’ve have a busy season…congratulations to the sweet newlyweds…
You could use the wood from the swing set for a fire. Just an idea if you haven't taken it to the dump.

Peters bread reminds me Of bannock. I’ve seen where they wrap the dough around a stick. Looks yummy! I see it made on camping trips in canada. The children are no longer children! Where has time gone?!?! Your meals looked so delicious. That’s a very nice chair. I have a swivel, rocker chair. It doesn’t decline. I love my chair, but it’s getting very old. So, this would be a great replacement.

That looks like a nice chair, wish I'd known about it two years ago. Made a mistake and bought a La-Z-Boy...worst chair ever for squeaking. (Talladega model) It literally squeaks when I take a breath and we've tried to oil it every possible place. Wow, when did Peter get taller than you? This was a very nice visit with you and your family. Thank you for making time to vlog in the middle of getting ready for the wedding. Looking forward to the next video and the premiere!

I think a higher temp and a dark pan would give the chicken a better crust.

Steins has something you can hang and it gets rid of the japenese beetles so does Ace Hardware it’s alright to take a break from gardening I’m going to next year
The bags work, but I read and have noticed myself that they seem to draw more in. This year I am picking them off and putting them in a container with water and blue Dawn, but putting the lid on instead of leaving it off. So far, so good. We haven't had a ton of them.
Loooove all the flowers! My ferns are still going strong but ive had to throw alot of my flowers away. So hot!
Oh, that’s too bad. Do you ever mist your ferns? I’ve found that helps in the heat.
Next time you could put them under the broiler to make it darker on the outside
Another great video. I wish we had whippoorwill in our corner of WI (we're south of you). I love that sound--grew up with it. I remember the kids swinging on that swing and Joe with his trucks in the sand. It's startling how fast time flies. I have the same Hamilton Beach and love it. It works great and it's so easy to clean. Wow, so much fruit Jennifer! If I don't roast a whole chicken, I do boneless skinless chicken just like you did in the video. Before I put it in the oven, I sear it quick in a fry pan to get it browned up good. Thanks for sharing.

Jennifer what kind of tomato fertilizer do you use? This year we did a container garden and it’s doing great. Not like a large ground garden but enough to eat on. Your flowers are beautiful!

Jennifer, I was just watching this video that you had put up the newest one I guess. You were talking about switching the music from one computer to the other. I would love to know what the name of that music is. It’s very soulful and romantic sounding and it’s two different guitars and one is a base I think I’m not all that savvy. On such things, but I don’t really love to know what the name of that is. It’s one of those songs sounds like you should be on the dance floor with your hubby and make you wanna go to the car and just make out like you were teenagers after listening to that song, sorry about no punctuation but you’ll know what I’m trying to say
