I agree with you the BMW is very cool looking and realistic looking 👍🏻✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
I think the BMW grills are off centre. A little crooked.
I love unlicensed models. That's the only way I get models I'll never see from another company. Hot Wheels isn't gonna make that BMW, right??
not in true scale with good details. Everything hotwheels makes is kidified and overpriced, so might aswell get more for your $ and pick up these chinese brands.
First of all thank you for showing us some different brand of diecast that are not as popular. Love them. As far as licensing models are concerned I really don’t care if they are or are not. Being a collector I trust my eyes and I like what I like. From 1/64 up to 1/12. Whatever I see and I like it, licensed or not, if I like it I will buy it.
That’s my era of BMW, I love it. And I don’t care about the licensing, BMW has plenty of money already. It’s Nick Mason, from Pink Floyd, who has the Ferraris.
Ferrari is the coolest looking one!
Rolls-Royce is one of those licenses that's been absent from Hot Wheels a lot longer than even Ferrari. The last time that Hot Wheels put out a Rolls-Royce was a ~1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom II roadster in a "24K gold-plated" FAO Schwarz set from 1995.
Wow that’s something I didn’t realize. Always hear about the Ferrari license but RR is another disappointing omission from the HW lineups.
It doesn't matter for the license, looks good
Quite the irony that unlicensed brands can produce stuff better than some brands which get the models licensed from the manufacturer.
12:22 resin fly-by-night operations do make better alternatives for the Ferrari Enzo in 1/64 scale.
I had been waiting to see some unlicensed cars. You bring up some valid points about why they exist.
Thanks for showcasing these, may have to sign up to ali express now! I'm not bothered by the lack of licensing, if it looks good and is a quality item, I'm there.
You'll find many things cheaper than eBay as well. It'll take longer to get to you, but that's a sacrifice I'm personally willing to make!
All I care about is quality and accuracy, and a license doesn't elevate either one, so why deprive myself of a superior product. What, to protest that a corporation isn't getting their cut?
If the modeler cares enough to get the details right, that's what I'll pay for. The other brands with staggered wheels and blank lights can keep their hologram stickers
I liked all the cars, BMW best. I don’t care about licensing but have yet to buy an unlicensed one yet, mostly I buy MiniGT if I’m going that way.
Because that RR Phantom is British luxury car and it might have some issues with air suspension, so that's why it's dragging its tail... 😄
They made it too realistic.
All of them looked great, but my favourite is BMW 😎
They have a 5 series and i did get one.. quite nice.. yet to get my 7 series in hand
Enjoying these deep dive episodes.
I have very mixed feelings about these “fly-by-night” brands (if that’s what they are). It isn’t cheap to do the tooling and produce these castings even for China. I get the cost cutting thing if you’re a manufacturer starting off & “testing the waters”. I do however have doubts about the longevity of the actual castings & whether the paintwork starts to rash badly & the Zamac begins to blister … using inferior quality materials to cut costs which will show up in time.
It would really interesting if you check in on these castings in a several years time to see if they’re still “fresh”.
BMW is sweet. I don’t really care if it’s not licensed.
DCM is actually amazing. I have several models. The other two don't interest me as much though.
I know that Bburago did an Enzo Ferrari. Its actually not bad.
Realy interesting video, showcasing some Chinese Brands most collectors are not familiar with (me neither). The iNG Rolls-Royce Phantom looks good overall, apart from the RR hood ornament maybe. "Agitator" Enzo is probably my favorite, it has a Kyosho quality to it imo. "DCM" BMW E32 also looks cool. Personally, i don't mind about these models not being licenced, as long as they're accurate representaions of said models. And sometimes, you get some 1/64 models licenced manufacturers won't make, like that Rolls Royce. Thanks for showing these.
Not worried about the product being licensed as long as I can get a nicely detailed model.
Unlicensed casting.
Yeah, still better than spending $400 for a 1/43 BBR Enzo which is licensed
My favorite is the BMW. About licensed brands I rather buy those but there are some unlicensed brands that do do a great job. When I do videos I will name the brand. Like Mini Gt Showcase or Tarmac works Showcase. But unlicensed I feel weird so I don't mention the brand. Like the two Ferraris I showcased yesterday. Just said Ferrari Showcase. I will still buy unlicensed but not as much as licensed. Thank you for always putting out great videos.
Very cool video championdjk
Definitely thinking about getting that E32 7-series since my dad has the exact same one.
Yep we have a gray too. I will get one hope I can get the right color.
I have that Enzo, and I did get it in red. It is very nice for the price i paid for it. Definitely a good model. I care a little about the licensing and i will try as best as i can to get officially licensed models. But, in the end, if the model's quality is good i will do exceptions. I mean, i would rather have a good, unlicensed, Ferrari Enzo than a Hot Wheels period Ferrari Licensed Enzo, any time of the day.
Also, Hot Wheels losing the Ferrari license to Bburago, gave us amazing Ferrari models from Tomica, through all their lines.
Great video. I like your more focused videos!
DCM has many good releases. Their BMWs are great.
Overall, I think it is awesome there is so much competition and innovation from Asian (and especially Chinese diecast brands). It's a shame we do not see much of the same from Europe or the US (when was the last US diecast brand launched?). Personally, I do not care at all about the licensing. I think it is great we get cars we otherwise would not see.
I really like Aliexpress. It is a major company in terms of market capitalization. I've purchased a lot from them over the past 2-3 years and they are great overall.
An aside on diecast licensing. Overall, I think licensing for diecast has been taken too far. Copyright/trademark laws are supposed to incentivize companies to innovate and invest in their brands. However, how does producing 1/64 cars affect Ferrari's brand or profits or incentives to innovate? It is unlikely that it does to a significant degree. Ferrari makes 1:1 cars, not models. The same argument applies to car art on t-shirts. The law should encourage consumer choice and innovation. I do not see how Ferrari's ability to only allow only one firm to produce 1/64 models helps either. Would Ferrari's brand be tarnished if Hot Wheels made Ferrari cars? Would Ferrari lose sales if unlicensed models were produced? Would Ferrari not innovate in engines and its brand if Matchbox made an unlicensed Ferrari model?
Thank you! Great points!
BMW for sure 👍
From a philosophical standpoint I'll admit I'm a little conflicted when a model isn't licensed. But given how faithful some of these models are from these lesser-known brands compared to some of the known brands with licences I'd be more than willing to purchase a few of these.
There is a Ferrari Enzo by Kyosho in 1/64...
Not sure if I'd pay Ebay prices for a Kyosho Ferrari Enzo though. I too do not exactly find the Enzo to be particularly appealing.
With regards to unlicensed models, in general, they don't bother me. Especially if it's a car model that none of the licensed brands have yet done.
I haven't yet purchased any unlicensed brand models as a majority of my budget continually gets eaten up by Tomica Limited Vintage. 😄
the Kyosho version is really expensive, and it is not as detailed like this one
If it's licensed or not, whose to say if it's legitimate? 🤔
Insensitive collectors from what I have seen.
Are previously licensed Hotwheels Ferrari model cars now legitimate now that Hotwheels does not have Ferrari license? 🤔🤔Does it real matter? NO, because no one cares.
Unlicensed stuff really doesn’t bother me. While it’s theoretically stealing it’s different than say bootleg music. While the brands are entitled to protect their trademark you aren’t making something cheaper, competing with them and ultimately preventing the brands from selling their version for more money. None of these car brands that I am aware of make their own mini Diecast.
Do you think hotwheels cares about us? I say buy what ever you can afford and maybe some day you will get a real one ☝️
Don't really care about licensing as long it looks real and proportionately precise. Hotwheels made licensed models and now what, are they still legitimate by Ferrari? Does Ferrari care about Hotwheels making 1/64 models? No. At the end licensing does not really matter to me, unless you are buying the real thing.
Why u buying product from China..I can go on but won't I'll just unsubsidized u..! Boom!!!done good luck.
Hot Wheels have Enzo in high end. I have one in yellow
In what line was that?
@hellisio the 100% line from like 20+ years ago. Still remember the dual pack in KB Toys
