I know this is late, but the problem is only kerosene vapor burns. And it only produces vapor at 38 degrees Celsius or 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
You can't ignite kerosene in liquid form.

“Gasoline is too dangerous to light on fire” buys white gas which is even more dangerous than gasoline.
How so? Gasoline oxidizes faster and they would've been inside a fireball if they had poured it and then took that long to ignite it. The combustion of naphtha "white gas" is more pure but the volatility of gasoline is more extreme upon ignition.

Alex Morrall not even close. Gasoline is explosive and the fumes flame up to so they could’ve easily gotten engulfed both these fuels they bought aren’t explosive unless like pressurized or something
