At last a sensible comment. I get the feeling you have been through that as have I. That said I personally could not do it but would have to leave it up to Doctors.
So does that mean you are for the bill or against it?
@@daryllportas8453 Since I do not know the full proposal, i.e, who can carry out the request, how ill does a person have to be, what, if any exceptions apply, will there be a minimum age, on,y certain ailments. There are a whole heap of questions that need to be addressed. On the who,e I would, if I have to choose a side, go for no assisted death. Only help to control the pain and make what is left of a persons life as comfortable as is humanly possible. Anyone voting on this needs to ask themselves “Could I assist with this for a loved one”. The answer to that question is the way they should vote.
@@daryllportas8453 let answer your question with a question.
Do you support Do not resuscitate orders?
Because a doctor could certainly prolong the life of someone who just technically died, but should they if the person wished to die?
@@harrisonhonda3745 A doctor takes an oath to save life, not end it, end of story.
I am Catholic & Northern Irish but it tells me something.
Definitely for serious, debilitating illness like MND and many others. BUT, it must be done correctly. And should never be allowed to be used on the elderly just because they’re old.
So you can safely maintain that such a policy would NOT be used to save the Govt money, or that older people might NEVER be made to feel like a burden on the state/relatives?
This so so very ridiculous playing with people’s lives
The world as gone mad
I hope this passes, and is available to anyone who wants it for whatever reason they choose. I don't want to be alive and was brought to this cesspit of a planet without my consent.
That's not what the bill is advocating for. It's for terminally ill people
Someone with sense, finally. It's insane how people think it's okay to ignore someone's wishes about their own life
he's quoting the queen but she cant say if its true. thats low
Our doctors are not much good.
Dangerous, Sir Keir is wrong on so many fronts.
If i developed altzheimers dementia or any illnessthat prevents me living in my own home i wznt euthanasia, it's each individuals right to choose,no one else's
Remember we used to people out of unaliving true evil roams the world
They have to have a ‘ Crisis ‘ keep ppl in fear !

The voucher That's discrimination
Deffo allow it for Two Tier and his cronies...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What about mental health 😢
Of its legal for a mom to abort a baby up to 24 weeks , why can't I choose to terminate my life when required
I can only see MP's voting for this if they have been directly impacted by it.
Or if they have any empathy at all.
This is sinful and wrong!
Dont think you can compare humans to animals
Humans arent animals?
You can’t compare them because humans are animals, so it’s like comparing apples to fruit.
True animals are treated with far more love and compassion than humans
Should free up some housing at least.
The pet argument doesn't hold up for me. No one is going to coerce their pet dog to "go to sleep" so they can inherit their house.
No.
6:31 Yeah it SHOULD be expanded to any adult that wants it, except people who have huge responbilities like kids or massive financial debt or criminals who have an unfinished sentence.
Other than that, let em go if they wanna go. It's not for you to decide whether their reason is good enough or if there are other options. Let people decide for themselves
