Sent a series of Skratch videos, including this one, to my buddy who is just starting out - my message was "Watch these if you want to fall irrevocably in love with the game". EAL is so good in front of the lens, but so much of the magic is in the shots y'all capture behind it. Hats off to the whole crew.
PS: The tee shot past the drone at 15:40... chef's kiss.

Erik, your videos have literally become a thing of beauty. They truly show not just the fun aspect of golf but the passion that it brings. It does seem crazy that there are those of us that absolutely love chasing around a little white ball but it's something that brings an immense amount of peace to our lives as well. The fact that you have been doing these in Mexico must be a speechless experience. The culture, the landscape, and the emotion that is conveyed is an experience beyond imagining and I pray you make more of them. These connect our love for golf around the World in a captivating way. Thanks again for all the hard work and effort you undertake in sharing your experience and passion with all of us.

I love these adventures in golf series, they´re far more than just a golf course vlog, or a travel vlog; but something that captures peoples lives and stories. And that to me, is the very best thing about travel, and golf. The film of the course at Lofoten in Norway inspired me to go there last year. So, now I can add this hidden gem to my bucket list of places to go visit too :) Cheers for that Eric!

Eric you need to call me. I live in a city in Mexico with a local 9 hole you play twice from different tee boxes. Bunch of guys got together 40 years ago and bought the land and slowly turned junk and jungle in the middle of the barrio to a fun challenging little course. I got my one and only hole in one here on 2005 .my first time playing here in 96 we were escorted around the course with a guy carrying a machine gun. I'm like WTF holy crap. Over the 12 foot red brick walls that define the property , was some neighborhoods that apparently were kind of sketchy , I don't know if the UZI was overkill or not . One time we were playing and racing down the fairway was a police truck lights blazing chasing half a dozen teenagers , one brandishing a knife , not something you see every day on a golf course. Of course there's huge iguanas everywhere < Ive seen a tarantula crawling across the course. Neighborhood dogs of course and some huge extremely fast rabbits are all over the place. Little by little the dense underbrush that lined the fairways was cleaned , it took years and years because all local funding , and massive property. Sand traps used to be gravel and sand and truly daunting , impossible to hit out of. Now they are all sand of varying density , challenging but playable . Actual poop rivers , open sewage ditches you had to hop over got fixed , sewer systems installed and now not an issue . its been really cool over 25 yrs of playing this course to see it turn into the great little cheap local course , challenging but fun. Out of 5 courses in the area , one being a Robert Trent Jones design right on the ocean , highly rated, sometimes our little Campestre course has the best greens. Don't play the caddies on mondays, ( they play mondays for free) cuz they will kick your ass with a handful of mismatched clubs and sandals. The best part is its only 500 pesos with a cart to play 18 and the food is great and cheap and lots of old gringos with great stories after in the shade of the clubhouse deck and the smell of burning Mexican herbs wafting through the air. my mexican call is +1 52 669-3277791 ask for Trent

I don't comment on videos a lot but I'd like to say that this episode is really truly incredible. There's not many shows out there that really capture the essence of communities around the world, and how even though this video is about golf, it's much more about humanity, and the things that tie us all together. The central tie in this case is some metal clubs, a ball, and a beautiful back drop. Really is on par (pun intended) with the works of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown. Thanks for sharing.
