brass plating with Caswell solutions

smaller parts plated just fine in the tank but a larger part 175 SQ INCHES wouldn't take the plate-- So Talked to Jason at Caswell. We decided trying the plug and plate technique might do the trick!!~~~ It Did! I'm a happy camper

is your custom plating wand made of brass ? I want to try brass plating, if it doesn't work I'll have to go with gold. There is not much information on internet about brass plating.

yes the wand is just piece of scrap brass wrapped with gauze~~~ the reason there's not much info,is because there really isnt a good way to brass plate with safe chemicals-- good ways include a cyanide soultion which is highly toxic and requires permits--the stuff I use is From Caswell and it will do little pieces okay-- but I've given up try to use it on any thing bigger than a 3 inch disc-- its not a really great product-- actually for the price--it SUCKS

@@brucekuda6711 Thank you very much for that info. I was going to buy that brass kit from them. I knew about the cyanide part already and did not want to deal with strong chemicals. I will go straight to gold then.
