  • Thinking about renting out property in Spokane? Or maybe you're already a landlord? Spokane’s new rental registry is here, and it’s a game-changer for anyone renting out homes, apartments, or even spare rooms. From small business licenses to compliance requirements, this program is designed to ensure safety and quality across rental properties-but it’s not without its challenges.
In this video, I break down what the registry means for Spokane landlords, the potential costs, and the consequences of non-compliance. Plus, I share a real story from a local homeowner, Gary, who found himself navigating the unexpected impacts of this policy.
What do you think about Spokane’s rental registry? Is it a step toward better housing or just more red tape? Let me know in the comments!

Hmmm... I have my income properties as small businesses and would always do so. Many advantages. Thanks for the update on the market in Spokane!

If you don't "register" to whatever the city council writes into law in the future then you can't evict a tenant.

City is setting themselves up for a lawsuit. I'm tempted to buy a place, just to have standing and win millions in a lawsuit.

I wonder how they feel about taking care of your parents. Which have very little, yet they insist on paying something. Fine! How about $200 a year. Is that renting?

Unless you have to evict your parents, you'll probably be fine
