Today was WLWWWW, with the only loss on Squeeze Play for an outdoor kitchen island. The setup: 79595... insert roll-eyes graphic here
Excellent show today regardless for sure. Pretty much everything but that went right - I mean, look at Pocket Change! Found the big one right away, a 5% chance!
No clue why that Hyundai Accent was there. The DOB has said on-record that a car lower than 15k feels too cheap for the show.

When Drew first became the new host, I was not impressed, but I didn't give him the chance he deserved. I would like to apologize to him as I think that CBS could not have found a better person to be the host. He is absolutely the greatest. Thank you Drew. Keep it up. I am sorry for not being a better person.

I agree as well. Is Drew did it more and more and got more practice and experience, he definitely got better.
But really, I think everybody feels the same way. Game show host are icons. Bob Barker will forever be associated with Price is Right, Alex Trebek will forever be associated with Jeopardy, Regis Philbin will forever be associated with Millionaire, and Pat Sajak and Vanna White will forever be associated with Wheel of Fortune.

While they have made some impressive set changes to some of the pricing games,
Seeing Take Two makes me hope they don't get rid of all the eggcrate displays. They are a game show classic, hope some of them stick around!

Only if you decide to keep it. Wouldn't to much on a car like that. There was a lady on 'Lets Make A Deal' who won a $88,000 Corvette. The taxes on that would be almost astronomical. I bet when found out she either forfeited it or had the dealer buy it back.

With the exception of cars, it's funny that they've largely shied away over the years from using manufacturer names. I wonder why? I guess maybe the manufacturers had to pay whenever the shows were shown in rebroadcasts or something so they changed it? Does anyone know?

I wish they would give the win to the person who bid the closest to the actual retail price instead of the person who bid the closest without going over, because a person who bids $5125 on a $5120 item has more of a handle on that item than someone who bids $1000 on it, wouldn't you say? The former is off by $5 and the latter is off by over $4000. Maybe they could make it that the person who bids closest, unless it's a tie between someone who bid under and someone who bid over, in which in that case the under-bidder would win the tie. For example, let's say the item is $4000 and contestant 'A' bids $3995 and contestant 'B' bids $4005, then contestant 'A' would win even though they are both $5 away from the actual retail price. But otherwise the person who is closest wins, period.
I agree but they've always played it that way so chances are they're not going to change.

I’m wondering if a prize like this stupid clock can be refused. Are contestants who win a bunch of prizes allowed to refuse to take some of them because they don’t need them, don’t have the space for them, or don’t like them and things like that? If I won that clock, I would say thanks but no thanks.

Doesn't really count as a Yahtzee when each die has three sides with a car. The odds are only 1/32 to win the car in a single roll compared to 1/1296 for any real Yahtzee. If someone won 7500 in one roll that would be impressive, as the odds are 1/7776.

Also sucks when someone wins prizes of over $35K while others get $500. Be appreciative of at least winning, but it's not the "life-changing" experience most hope for. Better to just sell the prizes on ebay or online while having the "I won this on tpir!!" and mark up the price by 500%.

It's interesting that although it's rare for a contestant to roll 5 cars in 1 role of the dice, the odds are actually 50/50. Same with the odds of rolling money with all five dice in 1 roll. But the odds of rolling five [$1,500] in one roll, are 1 in 6,144.

Original poster, you are incorrect. It is 1/2 chance for a car for each die, so it is (1/2)^5 = 1/32 = 0.03125 = 3.125% chance for all five dice to have a car symbol.
