    Great review, and great playing! 3:20 is always the best way to test a 5string

    I have the 6 string versions. It weights 7lbs, 15oz (3.6kg). Amazingly comfortable to wear and play.

      I'm actually looking into the 6 string version at the moment, they seem to play amazingly but the only thing is that they look huge man, thanks for letting me know by the way!

    Excellent review. I just got one this week and I love it. The sound is massive and I love the neck, although one little thing I would change is to make the string spacing a bit more narrow, but I’ll get used to it. My Ibanez GWB205 Gary Willis 5 string fretless has me used to a narrow string spacing, but maybe my new EHB will cause me to get my slap game together with the wider string spacing.

    Ryan Martinie is insane great bass line (look at Soften The Glare, his band with Mudvayne now)
    Great video, how is the new compare to the Red bass ?

    • @thomasomalley3095
      @thomasomalley3095  2 года назад +1

      The tension is a lot higher, the mid range pops way more, and the nordstrand sound so much better than bartolini to me, its a lighter and more versatile instrument imo🤙

    i ordered one and had to send it back. it was in a horrible condition. Loose screws so that the humbucker popped out. The input jack is pretty shitty. Happy that u got a nice one. Now i have a sr 5 and it is way better, play and quality wise

    how are the neck profiles on the compared to a dingwall are they thinner then a dingwall neck or about the same

    • @thomasomalley3095
      @thomasomalley3095  Год назад +1

      Thinner. Dingwall necks are perfect in my opinion but for absolute ease of playing ibanez are the way forward for me, I'm a small guy

    • @anotakudetective1546
      @anotakudetective1546 Год назад

      @@thomasomalley3095 Got the btb some time ago and love it. the heftiness, the aguilars, and the nice rouder neck. It's a monster with tone and really suits playing all genre's. It's pretty similar to the ehb in terms of electronics. To be honest, the only thing that would make me pick the ehb over the btb would be the old finish that they discontinued. Maybe if I become an ibanez artist I'll custom order a headless btb lol

  • @BS-te3mn
    @BS-te3mn 8 месяцев назад

    Awful quality control, I'm on my third one. Twisted necks, bad finish, broken electronics. Anyone else have these issues? I swear it's like a $300 base for $1800
