Excellent demo. Love that you’re giving the 6 string family some love on your channel. I have 3 six strings and 2 five strings and I’ve really fallen in love with the 6s. The bass sounds great I hope you really enjoy it!!
I just picked up this bass a week ago and have been loving it! The string spacing is adjustable at the saddles. I think each saddle has +/-1.5 mm adjustability so I opened mine up to max and I’m at around 17.4mm
I dig it, Allen. I recently took possession of an Ibanez EHB1505MS in ocean inlet. I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet, but I strongly favor the neck pickup so far. They may be too close. I think the store I bought from lowered the factory action without lowering the pickups. But it is beautiful and plays great. And as an old guy with a bad back, it doesn't hurt that it's like 7 pounds! Also, I gotta get some of those strings.
I agree with you on the thin veneer top, I noticed that right away on my 1505. Seems kinda cheap for the price of the bass, but I have gigged with mine for a couple years now and have had no problems with the top getting damaged. Anyways, my 1505 is simply the most comfortable bass I have ever played and it really does sound great! Thanks for the review!
yeah but for me the thin top doesnt matter. it matter how it sound and plays looks are not that importen
Great demo. Just a heads up on the mid frequency sweep control: if the mid boost/cut is in the center neutral position, the sweep control doesn't do anything. Only when boosting or cutting mids is when the sweep control is active. Same goes for any Ibanez bass fitted with the 3 way mid frequency selector switch. Keep grooving dude 🤙🏻.
$1,899.99 That Bass color is called Black Ice Flat . Wow !!! If anyone would travel on a plane w/ it. Best to buy an instrument case that's built for being knocked around. Thanks so much for the demonstration !!! I enjoyed it.

IME with an Ibanez SR, my fingers wore through the top veneer after about two years of playing it. At the very least Ibanez should coat it with something more durable.
Great review! Except now I have to go and buy one… Which I was probably going to do anyway, but it sounds like I really will like this bass.
For basses I don't know of any chunky necks from Ibanez but on the guitar side the AZ and AZS models have quite a bit of meat on them. 👍

Honestly my Ibanez rga quilted maple top guitar would also dent really easy but so I kinda got used to it after a while and it stopped bothering me cause it felt so good to play and looked nice even with little dents
