    I might actually use this technique for my wedding dress I'm making! This would add such a cool element to the bottom hem!

    You're an incredibly gifted cosplayer, but also, a brilliant and fabulous teacher!! There are many gifted individuals in various different creative fields. But sometimes a gifted person might not be able to teach others how to achieve the results they want. You are able to both create, and teach others what they need to know, in a insightful and fun way! You possess both gifts, and that speaks to your outstanding talent in the cosplay world!!

    I'm doing a stylized cosplay of the killer rabbit from Monty Python and wanted to dye the ends of my dress and sleeves red. Having never dyed anything before, I was very nervous but this video was very helpful!

    Hey! I was just thinking about doing a Jester cosplay since I loved yours so much (your jester Christmas parody made me fall in love with the series and I just binged a ton of episodes this past week, and your explanation video was PERFECT and I 100% agree with what you said, looking back at it after getting more context and listening to the podcast) and this is a really clear and concise explanation! I didn’t know how I wanted to go about doing this process, so it’s nice to see how you did yours and what products you used!! 💕💕💕

    I've never used dyes or lace for anything yet so far, mostly because I tend towards either darker or less elegant characters, but this is still a really well done tutorial and I think I'll make a new playlist for this and other useful things I don't know how to do yet. Also the making faces bit made me chuckle.

    For most costumes like the one shown are you making the segments with piping and then attaching then or adding them to a coat you already made. If so I'd love to see how that's done.

  • @emilyw2962

    Can I ask what fabric you used for your snow white skirt? The skirt drapes so beautifully and I assume it was made of natural fibers if you died it.

    • @GinnyDi
      @GinnyDi  4 года назад

      It's silk chiffon, so yes, it's a natural fiber fabric that takes dye very well!

  • @GoldenPerception
    @GoldenPerception 5 лет назад +1

    Did you dye the lace as well?

    • @GinnyDi
      @GinnyDi  5 лет назад +1

      Nope! I just got lace in the color I wanted. Dyeing lace is a lot harder because the different materials may take dye differently. (Not to mention I think most laces that you can get for reasonable prices are synthetics.)
