- Опубликовано: 4 ноя 2017
- In this video I would like to show you how I dip dyed my skirt for my Anna cosplay from Disney's frozen illustrated by Hannah Alexander Artwork. This Costume-Design requires a lot of hand dyed ombre fabrics. I used RitDye More for my synthetic chiffon fabric and ombre dyed it from orange to yellow. Hope you guys like it, leave a comment If you have any questions left.

Making a dress for a mini met gala thing im going at my uni, so this was very helpful!
I'm Extremely late with this but i was woundering what fabric you use. The video is extremely helpful! And its extremely good for cosplayers and people who wanna make their own dressed by playing a bit with colours. 😊👍🏻
I want to do a Padme handmaiden dress from Star Wars. The gradient goes from orange to yellow to green. This video helped a lot to get ideas on how to do that. Thank you!
You're so clever
I also use an old crock pot for my dye work. It’s broken but it helps because the bathtub water won’t break it more.
Beautiful work! 😍
thank you!
Can any one help please 😐 i bought a dress i want the dress in pink but its little bit more redish and its lawn fabric ....so which fabric paint should i use?
how did i never think to use a crockpot for keeping my dye water warm 😮😮
Thank you soo soo soo much
i need my skirt to be white with a little bit of pink in the ends of the skirt for my cosplay will i be able to do this method backwards?
You can use a white skirt and just dye the end with pink IDye or ritDye... I am not sure If you could bleach a pink skirt to get a clean gradient.
Yes it was realy helpful indeed! Even with the colorcombination I needed th know! TvT
Awesome tutorial! Are the pots still safe to use for cooking afterwards or does the color stain?
I’m looking for a darker orange, almost like orange/red color. How can I mixed the colors to find the right one? Any advice please.
I'm planning on dying the hem of my wedding dress skirt black, I'm still debating on the approach I'll take on how to do it but this wad very helpful
I'm going for a black and white dress, hopefully it'll turn out as I plan it (fingers crossed)
I am doing the same thing. I called a bunch of tailors/seamstresses and no one was willing to do it for me. Keep me posted on what method you find.
@@alexandragardner4697 will do
I'm super excited about making it, though it'll be a slow process since I'm still buying materials too
how do you think this would work on thicker material like a sweater? the same?
Any tips for dying white black
For the pot method, is the pot still safe to use for food stuff later?
No. I watched Dolllightful and you have to make a designated dye pot. Fabric dye would stain foods and make them toxic to eat.
Please tell me what kind of dye u use for this
Rit
Can I do test pieces, let them hang dry ( I don't have a dryer) and reheat the pot with the dye when I am ready to dye the main fabric? Thank you, I just discovered your channel and it's amazing!
Jep you can do it this way, but I would definitely use a thermometer to check the temperature. Otherwise it is really hard to re-create the same color intensity. :D
@@JakCosplay thank you so much! Just a simple cooking thermometer it's ok? (One that I won't use for food obv)
@@SweetyPrincessMarghe yep thats fine, i also used one which is made for meat xD
@@JakCosplay I can't thank you enough for your advices 💖
