A friend of ours used to cut his really short, he turned up for a mates wedding and wanted his head almost shaved.
So the mate cutting the hair gave him the male pattern baldness and removed the hair just from the top.
That hair style aged him 10 years. It's one thing to be in your 20s or 30s and age 10 years, compared to someone in their 50s or 60s and they don't quite look 10 years older because they already are older.
IMO, black guys have shaving their heads easier because most of them look good with a shaved head. A white dude, it's hit or miss. I've seen some fellow whities with real potato heads. My buddy is a black dude and he started losing his hair. When he started getting that Bozo the Clown look, he shaved it off and looked even better than when he had a full head of hair.

I was the type to grow my hair out throughout High School. Was half way down my back at the longest. Turned 21yo and it just started falling out and never grew back. Now just shave it down every month or so and deal with it. No problem growing a full beard/mustached though.

My hair grows super thick, but I actually like shaving my head... not like Mr. Clean bald, but a #2 buzz. Having hair is an inconvenience to me. You got keep it looking healthy and style it every time you leave the house, you worry what other people think if it gets all wild from the wind... no thanks, I got enough anxiety and other s*** to do. I'm not fussing with that. Keep it simple.

As a veteran, I've seen conditions I didn't know existed, like people's scalp being wavy like a brain. That just added more questions when it was all the way bald, like how long does it take to cut out all the crevices?
