You know, the typical insane stuff christians believe. Anyways, I asked them once what happens to people in countries where they were taught a non-christian religion? They told me that god would take into consideration the information that was available to them. I asked if that idea was in the bible and their response was to change the subject. They never lose a debate in their minds.

It's not at all ironic, it's consistent the people who have been indoctrinated into religion but have a history of challenging their beliefs are likely to become atheists once they realize there is no evidence for God, and they will then continue to challenge their belief that there is no god because challenging their belief is consistent with their character because they care about what is true. But also once you come to the realization that there is no evidence for a god it becomes scary when you realize there are fuckwitz out there that you share the planet with that are making decisions that affect the rest of us based on a belief for which they have no basis. Easy choice for me.
