I am a Welsh man, and Speedy was my favourite cartoon character. As a wilderness guide/Instructor, I have spent many months over 20 years in Mexico. Enjoyed the food, people and culture.
Many people who, like me grew up in the 50/60's never seen Speedy as racist. Keep going Speedy. I'm now 69 years old and love him...

Robert McKimson, Hawley Pratt & Friz Freleng's handiwork along with the inimitable Mel Blanc's voice talents made for a fantastic piece of animated humor that cant be repeated today. I've been laughing all the way thru this great compilation. I love it too when Speedy sneaks up behind the cat and yells out loud. Great compilation thank you.

Yo siempre lo ví como un revolucionario por su vestimenta y jamás le encontré algo racista y como mexicana me da gusto que hayan creado un personaje inspirado y ambientado en México eso quiero decir que la cultura mexicana es muy muy fuerte y resulta atractiva para crear personajes así.

Cuando fui por primera vez a Estados Unidos trabaje para unos gringos y me decían ándale ándale arriba al principio no lo entendía me ofendí después supe que esos gringos en su niñez vieron Speed González y fue lo que aprendieron de español😸🤣

These are all great - I love them all - but my FAVORITE Speedy Gonzales was him vs two Hispanic Gatos named Jose (sorry, could get the accent mark on) and Manuel. They were a real hoot!

i don`t care who you are, or what you do in life, but your got to love watching cartoons, especially ones as still as great as these ones really are, and to think these cartoons and others like them came out in the 30`s, 40`s and 50`s, and were still watching them today, i really think that if you grew up watching these and many more like them than you had a great childhood, and although i probably haven`t seen some of these for years, these cartoons seemed to be on more or less all the time in the 80s, especially on rolfs cartoon time, or on tv during holidays, etc, and now watching them as a adult we can probably appreciate them more, and full in love with them all over again.

although no doubt there`s still a few good cartoons to watch out there today, not that i can think of any at the moment, shame, back during the 80s, and me not getting out really much especially during hte summer holidays i watched the following cartoons, : speedy gonzales, tweety pie and slyvester, foghorn leghorn, tom and jerry, popeye, wacky races, roger ramjet, dastardley and muttley in their flying machines, the perils of penelope pitstop, the jetsons, the flintstones, scooby doo where are you, hong kong phooey, secret squirrel, batfink, the pink panther, bugs bunny, porky pig, star trek cartoon, godzilla cartoon, and these are just the ones that i can remember.

10:50 en cuanto a Rosita la chica andaluza/mexicana (Sí, digo andaluza porque he visto que lleva en alguna ocasión traje rojo y peineta junto a un moño o pelo largo, algo característico del flamenco), XD. (lo siento mal chiste, sí merezco ir a la hoguera, perdón)
En fin fuera coñas. Se nota que la pusieron porque todos los Looney tenían un novio o una novia y la verdad, esta chica me recuerda, por lo poco que he encontrado de ella, a una Lola a la mexicana, es decir, alguien que no tiene personalidad y sólo se limita a ser la novia de alguien, que en este caso es de Speedy, la verdad, entiendo que no haya vuelto ya que por lo poco que sé no hacía mucho, y yo haría que volviera pero con muchos cambios, adaptados a la actualidad, tal y como pasó con Lola, es más, le daría una historia a parte más detallada, aquí más de uno me va a matar, pero bueno 😒, haría que forme parte del colectivo LGBT matando varios pájaros de un tiro, y no solo eso sino darle un transfondo completamente oscuro y diferente porque como sabemos y se ha comprado Bugs y Lucas aunque no lo parezcan forma parte del colectivo pero ellos son apreciados no solo por el público sino también por su mundo, con ella se puede hacer a la inversa que no sea apreciada por los personajes pero que sí se coja el cariño del público poco a poco, teniendo un personaje de referencia y que ella sea la llave para crear más personajes nuevos del colectivo, de hecho, las traes completamente renovada y nueva, porque sí, nadie la conoce, a menos que seas mejicano o conozcas los cortos de Speedy o busques debajo de las piedras en varias paginas donde se hable nada o poco de ella, de esta forma traes algo fresco y nuevo a tu audiencia y no solo eso, sino que haces que el personaje, que se nota que estaba de pegote, vuelva a la vida con muchas mejoras tal y como pasó con Lola Bunny en el show de los Looney Tunes, que es una maravilla y me encanta ese lado jandere que tiene, no en serio, sí, es cierto que si Lola existiera te mataría sin pensarlo dos veces y lo cruel es que no tendría remordimientos. Esta tan loca que me encanta, me explico, tal vez esto se deba a que en la película de space jam no tiene personalidad y sólo se uso como juguete sexual, y en esta versión se nota lo contrario algo que agradezco.
