- After quarantine you plan to release them in main fish tank, how do you clean water in that fish tank for discus ?
- I dont have a NA filter, can I use API Stress Coat and API quick start instead ?
- I have API aquarium salt, can I use that for cleaning purposes ?

Hello sir ....thank you for all your videos....I actually have a tank and I'm cycling the water...but it's hard water... I can notice stains....is it ok for fish or should I slowly intorduce RO water every week....there are no fishes currently

Hi Mayur Sir, Thanks for all the content you are sharing. Very informative. I have a situation and hoping that you will be able to help. I got 8 Discus and currently they are in quarantine tank for past 3 days. 6 are doing fine but two of them are looking sick. I see that they are not swimming normally (sometime sidewise , sometime nose down). Question is my hospital tank is already occupied with them, now what should I do, should I move the healthy one in main tank after only three days of quarantine and treat the sick one or treat all of them in hospital tank together. I am guessing Epsom salt treatment will not effect the healthy one and I can treat all of them together and keep them in quarantine tank for at least 15 days before moving them to main tank. Please suggest. Thanks!

I saw your video where you said once in a while we can put epsom salt in our tank so it gave me comfort that it will not impact the healthy fish. Thanks again for sharing your experience, it is helping all new people into the hobby.
Hi Mayur. Good video. That NA water, is that RO and does that also remove essential minerals from d water. Pls can u share the link or d name to buy this NA as it will save me from adding anti chlorine everytime I change water.

Very Nice explanation sir. Please advise how to install heater as some say ???
1.it shouldn't be placed cross or at an angle.
2.some say it should place vertical or horizontal only but fully submersible.
MOST IMPORTANT 👇
3.it should be fully submersible or it will BLAST if water level goes down due to evaporation or most important while cleaning when you switch off and remove it immediately from tank.
4.some say that place the heater vertical in such a way that knob of the heater (to adjust temperature) should be out of the water or it will get jammed at the set degree only and you can't adjust later.
Please sir please advise thoroughly to avoid any accidents.

HI, I.have scaped my planted tank based on your video. I have cycled the tank and after 2 weeks I added tetra and shrimp. Ryt now I am seeing ich in my fishes. I don't have tank to quarantine and suggest a way to get resolve without affecting plant and shrimp. What medicine to use? How many days to continue? Daily I need to change water?
Do not add any medicine, this is because of the imbalance in the tanks cycling and also a possible drop in temperature, figure out which it is

so that means, please correct me if i am wrong , that i need to keep my hospital tank ready 24 x 7 just in case i need to transfer my fish if they have any issues like ICH or parasites etc., immediately post transfer . say after a few weeks they develop symptoms and i need to hospitalised the fishes , the tank should be ready isn't it, because if i start from the beginning as detailed in both the videos as you perfectly explained it will take time.
Not really, This depends on the number of tanks and fish you have, if you have many tanks then always good to have a running hospital tank, or good to have a tank that can be used as a hospital tank

It is not a long term solution, the vermi compost will decay and smell also, better you use latrite or go for a branded soil

As you mentioned "Using sponge filter in bare bottom tank doesn't help in bacteria colonization " I haven't understood this concept . If possible please elaborate because as far i know it do help bacteria to grow as bacteria resides in almost every solid or soft articles and not in water itself provided the water is super clean and chlorine free in particular.

If it is breathing heavily, then there is less oxygen in the water and the water is not clean, please correct that first, and after you can add rock salt
Nice video. However, i totally disagree with the peppering part of discus as it’s normal behaviour for them to adapt to the surroundings . And yes, black spots on the discus are due to Black spot disease and not to be confused with peppering.

But then after finding out that you are making a series on Discus i was quite happy. I really like the way you explain things.
