      Just curious as I am starting to learn all of this but.. do you believe Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and that His blood saves us all from sin should we ask for forgiveness?
      Sorry for all of the questions but my KJV says that back in the time of Jesus, a lot of Jews did accept Him but a lot did not and these Jews that did not didn't want the Pharacees (Rome) to take their nation because they knew all would follow Jesus as the Messiah so they delivered him to Pilot so he would kill Jesus but Pilot found Him innocent so it was the top Jews/Rabbis in the nation (mainly those in higher positions) who didn't want Jesus around anymore.. just wondering where this information falls with you and people who believe the way you do?
      Thank you in advance, God bless. 🥰

      The Jewish Convert that’s great. I currently have the complete Hebrew-Aramaic-English Soncino Talmud and earlier this week a friend gave me the complete Jacob Neusner translation and commentary Talmud Bavli. Would love to compare the Koren Noe Talmud translation with my others and I love how the Koren is fully voweled. Thank the Eternal One for these amazing texts!

    Shalom my friend, thank you for your informative and inspiring videos. I would like to ask you about how your time has now been in Israel? Also, when you convert, do you pick sephardic or ashkenazi, of course you get influenced by the local congregation, but can you choose otherwise later? Best regards :)

      @TheJewishConvert  4 года назад +1

      Hallo I am Ashkenazi. My Subscriber videos gives an update about my life in Israel, but Baruch HaShem it has been amazing. Once you convert Ashkenazi or Sephardic its not that easy to change Nusach because when you convert you take a vow.

    שלום, אני ישראלי חילוני והייתי רוצה ללמוד את התלמוד. אני גר בדרום, מפני שאתה נוסע בין ערים בדרום בזמן העבודה אז אפשר לשאול אם אתה מכיר את הקבוצות לימוד שיש פה בדרום? יש לך מושג איך אפשר להתחיל לחפש לזה?
    תודה,

      Im sure there are plenty of Synagogues in the South that would be more than happy to learn some Talmud with you. The best would be to get in touch with a local Synagogue and they should be able to connect you with a chevrutah or perhaps even learn from a Rabbi direct. Alternatively you can learn online form Gamara Markings which is a free Talmud learning website. Im sure there is more in Hebrew. Shavuah Tov and Kol HaKavod

    Sefaria's English text of the Talmud is the same as Koren's, including the annotations of R' Adin Even-Ezer Steinsaltz

    It would make sense to get Koren Talmud Bavli down, then move to Artsroll, then to classic Hebrew, Aramaic Talmud. It can take 20+ years.

    • @TheJewishConvert
      @TheJewishConvert  2 года назад

      Shalom. The only way is to start learning Hebrew in my opinion. Also Aramaic for the Gemara. You can do this with the Koren Talmud, but takes allot of time and effort. Step by step we will get there Bzrat Hashem

    Good video although i have to say that there is absolutely no such thing as a "halachically valid" or "invalid" talmud format. By that logic no one was using a halachic talmud up until about 300 hundred years ago. Before then there was no standard layout. Also there isn't even a completely agreed upon text, very often we see that different rishonim had slightly different readings of the text, which was the result of generations of hand copying which introduced variations in the text. Nevertheless i still highly recommend you get a vilna shas (i.e. the format shown in the video) because that is the most commonly used and the daf yomi follows the pages in that layout.

      Yes the Koren has English in the front and the Hebrew at the back. Normally I wait for Specials from Koren with up to 50% off.

    But didn’t the Talmud come B4 the Torah??

    • @TheJewishConvert
      @TheJewishConvert  4 года назад +2

      Noble Price Nothing came before the Torah. There is an opinion that G-d looked into the Torah and created the world 🌍 basically the blue print of life. The Talmud is the Oral Law that was received with the Torah although not all of it is the oral law. Some are stories, some are opinions borrowed from the non Jews like the Greeks. I will make some videos on this soon based on the Rambam Misneh Torah Hamada

    Mishneh Torah. Much better option.

    • @TheJewishConvert
      @TheJewishConvert  11 месяцев назад

      The Mishneh Torah is obviously a great purchase, but it is not the Talmud. It is basically the Laws extracted from the Written Torah and the Oral Torah. I made a video about it that you can watch here for more information. ruclips.net/video/lJEp6sjHMCs/видео.html

      @@TheJewishConvert right and three chapters a day you can learn the mishneh Torah in one year. So In the time it takes to go through Talmud one time you can learn the Halacha seven times.

    No. Start with Talmud, an Aramaic book written by a bunch of old men. You will be shocked. Horror. Btw Aramaic is not part of judaism even.
