Hey Luis, Thank you so much for letting us use it! If you ever need ANYTHING for your vehicles in the future reach out, We really appreciate your help! -Chris W
Good vid... I just did this with a buddy's truck. You don't necessarily need to totally remove the grill and top flap to Remove/install the lights... Lifting the flap a ways, and a long extension will reach the bottom bolt, directly from the top looking down at it.. The rest as normal.
Great improvement on the projector and reflector lights! Though it does look like the hotspot shifted a little with the HID bulb in the projector. But that high beam? Man, that's amazing.
Well, thanks for the response; but if this video is outdated, than what I really need is a recommended alternative, not just an explanation of why it's outdated, please! I had hoped this this RUclips video, (and the Headlight Revolution experts) would recommend a tested solution to convert my 2017 RAM headlights to LED - and then I could purchase it from your company with confidence. I can't find a high and low beam conversion on your website.
We can not recommend any LED or HID replacements for your vehicle, as they are not street legal. What we do have as far as LEDs that will be legal to use are the Morimoto XB LED Headlights, and I have linked those here: headlightrevolution.com/2009-2018-dodge-ram-xb-led-headlights/ That will be the high beam and the low beam, and will provide you with an amazing upgrade for both light output and beam pattern! If you have any other questions, just let us know!
Great video, thank you for the clear walkthrough. I just completed this install, except I used the new CSP minis for the high beams and fogs. Looks unbelievable. However, I'm noticing a strange pattern on the HID low beam. There's a slight rectangular "shadow" on the drivers side low beam. It's off to the left peripheral and almost looks like a bit of the light is being blocked by something. I've looked closely at the projector eye and rechecked everything. Nothing stands out. Any ideas?
LED should be used for non-bixenon highbeam setups regardless, as LEDs are instant on-off, whereas HIDs come on too slowly for flash to pass or even most short term highbeam use. For lowbeam HID is good. For LEDs, I recommend the Hikari 2020s. I don't know how long they will last, but they are suuuuper easy plug and play install, and they have a 2 year warranty.
Hey Jeremy, I agree with that! I love the instant on-instant off. The GTR Lighting CSP Mini bulbs are one of the only options that fit these high beams and they work pretty well. We have a video coming out on them soon. -Chris W
I wish my low beam install had gone this easily. The pass through connector won't make a connection when plugged in to the OEM low beam connector. I had to depin the pass through connector and plug the pins directly in to the OEM connector to get them to work. The light output is great though.
Headlight Revolution Yes, I got the kit from you. I have been in contact with support and we have tried new bulbs which makes no difference. Low beam works if plugged directly in to ballast not using the pass through cable. They also work if I depin the pass through connector and plug the pins directly in to the OEM low beam connector. That’s how I have them working now and I just have the pins and OEM connector wrapped in electrical tape to hopefully keep the pins from coming loose.
Very strange, I’m glad it’s all working out for you so far. I wonder if that pass through connector is just a little too thick or the pins are a little too short.
According to bulb facts the best and brightest LED lights are from DDM Tuning and DeAutoLed for less than $200. How do you justify your prices and quality?
We have tested against many other bulbs, the results speak for themselves! These bulbs are backed by a hassle free warranty and great customer service!
What complete kits were used for the high and low beam HID bulbs for the projector/reflector housing? The links in the description aren’t working. Thanks!
Unfortunately we can not recommend that kit for street legal use anymore, and that is why the links are not working. We can totally get you set up with some halogen bulbs fro street use, or get you some off-road use recommendations if you email us your vehicle information! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com
I have this 55w kit w/5k bulbs on my 14 Ram 2500 and the beam pattern on the passenger side is not nearly as focused as the drivers side. Could be the projector is not in perfect alignment or something else is just out of tolerance(HID bulb?) but I don't get this with the stock 9012 bulbs. Although it is still much brighter than stock but there is a definite difference in the 2 beam patterns.
That is very strange, Have you tried swapping the bulbs from the driver to passenger side to see if that issue follows the bulb? If it does, Let us know and we will get you a brand new one. -Chris W

Love HID vs LED in Most applications, but never had a good HID for high beams. LED is the best bet but I can't get a good pattern. Your other videos are typical of what I see, the lines and distortion from LED makes it annoying at night. Do you guys have enough influence to pass on a pattern idea to the big manufacturers? Ive never gotten a call back.
I really like your youtube channel. Can you please advise me what's the best upgrade for my 2018 kia optima lx plus. I have one projector headlight and reflective high beam. Can you please help me to brighten my road. Thank you in advance and all the best with your channel.
If you are talking about doing the OEM projector housing conversion, you can totally do that on the 09-18 Ram truck lineup!👍 I have linked that kit for you here: headlightrevolution.com/2013-2015-dodge-ram-1500-oem-driver-passenger-black-projector-headlights/
I'm confused why you call that a projector high-beam, both of those headlight assemblies are equiped with reflector high-beams. There is clearly no projector lens other than the low-beam.
You’re absolutely correct. What I am referring to is the high beam on the projector based headlight housing. In this video, I show both the projector and reflector headlight housings.
I called them for recommendations for my 2020 altima and they basically told me they don't test cars. I thought there was a book that they made that had bulb recommendations in it lol..
We are doing our best to test as much as possible. Admittedly, We do mostly SUVs and Trucks. That being said, We help people with cars enough that we get a fair amount of experience with them. Since your car is so new, We probably haven’t had many customers call in looking for Altima help yet!

While I get where you’re coming from, I must say in real world driving conditions this upgrade makes a massive difference in how well you can see down the road at night. These Ram trucks are dim from the factory, This is a major improvement functionally.
Okay, very frustrating. Your "experienced expert" recommendations for the above products were a not credible and a waste of my time for my 2017 Ram Limited with projector headlights! Great improvement on the projector and reflector lights! Though it does look like the hotspot shifted a little with the HID bulb in the projector. But that high beam? Man, that's amazing.

I suggest quad projector setup. Four lows and instant four highs with Bi-Xenon projectors.

how well does flash to pass work when using HIDs. don't they take some time to come up to full power?
They will turn on quickly enough to work for flash to pass, just won't get to full brightness!
I wish my low beam install had gone this easily. The pass through connector won't make a connection when plugged in to the OEM low beam connector. I had to depin the pass through connector and plug the pins directly in to the OEM connector to get them to work. The light output is great though.
