Samantha, your delivery is excellent, and this video is quite informative. May I ask your opinion? According to Esther, at 4:11, "approaching the king" was a very dangerous thing to do. So how, at 2:22, was Esther able to quickly inform the king of the plot to kill him? (I have an idea about this, but I'd like to know what you think.)

    • @GeoLogos
      @GeoLogos  3 года назад

Hi John, great question! Based on what we know of the Achaemenid Empire and their court life, I think it is safe to assume that the eunuchs would have been able to relay messages from the harem (where Esther was housed) to the king, either via royal bodyguard or directly. This article has more details: iranicaonline.org/articles/courts-and-courtiers-i

    • @johnbuchan3678
      @johnbuchan3678 3 года назад

The Iranica article is interesting and well-written, thanks very much. (And to enjoy a dogma-free conversation is totally refreshing, thanks very much!) I’m concerned about attributing the communication at 2:22 to a eunuch, or to anyone other than Esther, because doing so would minimize the weight of Esther’s statement at 4:11 (everyone knows that an “uninvited interrupter (who I think would include a messenger)” risks his life). At 2:22, I think Esther realized that she had to risk her life to discreetly but firmly tell Xerxes that the door guards whom Xerxes had likely personally selected to protect himself from assassins were about to assassinate him. And since Mordecai hadn't known when they would strike, I think Esther realized that she had to act immediately.

Vahid Beheshti, an Iranian man who addressed the Knesset in January 2024, said there are 80 MILLION Iranians who want an end to the current violent regime. He told them do not be afraid to attack Iranian bases and support the Iranian people. Subsequently a banner was displayed on a bridge in Tehran stating, "We stand with Israel" and "Vahid is our voice." Source: Levitt Letter March 2024, pages 30, 31. Believers in Messiah Jesus, let us pray fervently for this region and people, especially those of Jewish descent, to have an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon them for such a time as this! Pray love and protection to bless all who are just and good in all that region. A change is coming and they will need the supernatural protection from evil weapons of all kinds, perhaps chemical weapons especially. God is the Victor and His will shall be done. Each of his humans are beloved so His delay may be to allow many more their choice between good and evil, which shall be made clear to us all in the Great Congregation. There shall remain Faith, Hope, and Love and the greatest of these is Love...

Since I knew of Esther's story in the Bible, I always thought the queen before Esther was very rude to not show up at the party. My parents did not give me very many birthday parties as a child or ever. That did not help. The Bible's book of Esther, in the beginning, shows a king capable of ruling over the big situation the Bible describes, so this was an elegant royal gathering, and it is a big disgrace for a queen to dishonor the guests that way. If she did or didn't have some reason to be a little upset with the king, she should still have shown up. The concept is a bit like in modern times if a couple made sure they argued at home instead of a restaurant, so they would not embarrass other customers.

their sons couldn’t be half anything else .
Why do you think princess Dian was killed ?
It is funny how Jews had an orphan as prince in the Egyptian empire and another orphan as queen in the Persian empire.

    • @bonnielucas3244
      @bonnielucas3244 Год назад +4

The Bible does give information in both cases. Moses was hidden by his parents at a time of slaughter of male Hebrew infants. Moses was not an orphan at all. His own mother cared for him awhile after the Egypt princess adopted him but couldn't nurse him. The princess sounds like she did what was prudent, and since Moses came to be seen as her child, and was very bright, he was treated as he was seen- as an Egyptian prince What the princess did in the account is really not hard to imagine at all. She took pity on a baby and wanted to have him as her own. This kind of thing has happened many times with children and animals over the centuries. Somebody decides they want to take care of a needy child (or pet.) As for Esther, she did not reveal her ethnicity until a critical moment, and she knew she could lose her life. Esther WAS born in Persia. Apparently the king liked her better than the huge number of beautiful girls from around his empire. All the others that had come to be seen by the king remained in the house of the women for the rest of their lives. According to the account in Esther, the king did not seem to know her ethnicity until the Haman intrigue and treachery. She either did not have whatever physical characteristics some might have identified as Jewish, or the king simply did not care, because she was so extraordinary. She had to have been! There must have been thousands of beautiful girls with whom she was put into competition. There were 120 provinces! The Bible will always be the greatest book. It is " HIS story.". Meaning, it is the account of the promise of the Messiah, and that fulfillment of all the many prophecies about Him, in the wonderful Person named Jesus of Nazareth

      A) if Netanyahu goes on the Israeli TV and says “ this is my son Mohammad and I love him very much,” would it be possible that not one jew in Israel even think that Mr Mohammad Netanyahu is a moslem ?
How did a Jewish child with a pure Jewish name grow up in the king’s house in Egypt where they have their own names and no one , not even himself suspected that he was a Jew ?
Where were your family living in the 1600s and what was their names and what did they do for living?
      You have no idea.
99% of us don’t know the first thing about our great grandparents, yet you talk about Moses’ adoption as if he was a Kardashian .
Com’n, this is 21st century, let’s be realistic.
      B) kings did not just marry a girl in the kingdom .
It is not that one day Cyrus the great went to a restaurant and fell in love with a waitress and married her.
King’s son would be the king of Persia and his wife had to be from the royal blood and must be born in certain families .
When Queen Elizabeth’s mother was young and was getting married he went to Queen Victoria and asked her for some advices about the marriage and Queen Victoria said “ as a wife your job is to lay on your back and think about the future of England.”
      C) this is the funniest one .
Today there are 14 million Jews alive.
Reverse the population growth and go back to 3000 years ago and at best there were 7 Jews .
Moses could have freed them and nobody would know .
Are you telling me that god killed the first born of Egypt and parted the Red Sea for 7 Jews ?

      @@GeoLogos //
      Hello
      A) I am a strategic forecaster and my area of specialty is Middle East .
I know more about every country than 99% of them do.
When you study the history for so long a pattern starts to appear.
The game of politics of 3000 years ago is exactly the same as today .
Kings were not the ultimate power , the same with presidents today .
For every king there were 50 people who wanted to kill them and become a king. Some of the kings were killed by their own sons .
Look how politicians look for dirt on other politicians in order to undo them , same back then .
Kings had a haram full of women and they could have slept with anyone but they had one wife and that wife had to be a Persian or Egyptian or or or of royal blood .
      Look at England today .
Prince Albert fell in love with an American woman and he had to advocate the throne .
Prince Harry married a black woman and they gave him such a hard time that he has to officially give up his Royal duties and even move out of England .
So what I told you is a fact.
      B) proving that there was no ester in Persia is very simple but it is impossible to get the people of a religion to accept facts.
When Cyrus the great was alive there was no such a thing as Judaism so there couldn’t have been an ester .
The actual religion of Judaism started at around 200BC .
      Judaism started in the Babylon.
Persians freed the slaves and send them to their countries .
When all of them left there were a group of slaves of all colors and races ( 12 tribes) who had been slaves for generations and had lost their identity.
There was an old wise man among them called Esra (Ezra)
Persians put him in charge and name this group “ the tribe of Esra) esra’eil .”
Ask any Persian “ what does eil as in eil and tavar means “ and they will say tribe.
It was the Persians who said “ we will take you west and when we cross the Jordan river we will give you a piece of land so that you can live in peace .
Egypt was south of Palestine and Jordan river was east of Palestine.
God saying “ take my people from the Egypt and cross the Jordan River and take Palestine “ is the same as saying take my people out of Texas and cross the Mississippi River and take Colorado.
      This doesn’t even make sense.
Middle East is extremely tribal , once these slaves were taken to Palestine then everyone questioned them and since they were called the tribe of Ezra then they started to create a history for themselves in order to fit in that society .
Three generations later that book became their reality .
Jewish archeologists have been combing that land for 70 years and they still have not found one single evidence of anything Jewish prior to 300 BC so they created the biblical archeology to explain everything but biblical archeology has zero credit in the scientific circle .
As an intelligent individual in the 21st century when you read a book where on the first page says “ there were only two people on earth and a snake was on a tree and the snake said “ pssst , psssst , hey eve wanna bite this apple ?”
You should know where this book is going and you should close it and throw it away .
Today there are 4800 religions and every single one is a big lie .

Iranian jews are ashamed of isreal fir tarnishing their reputation by stealing Palestinians lands, their livelihood and committing genocide. The Iranian jews that I know. Are honourable, kind and decent people. Not evil zionists that are committed genocide.

Muslims have a shared heritage back to Abraham and consider the Old Testament Jewish prophets to be prophets in their religion as well-think Daniel (madainproject.com/tomb_of_daniel).

Islam is a Abrahamic religion too, so maybe this story is in Quran too? Don't know for sure but maybe.. From what I know Quran also have some stories from the Old Testament and also the New Testament but maybe a little bit different than what we have seen in the Bible.

They don't believe in Jesus as A God but they are still a part of Abrahamic religions according to it's definition. I'm a Christian too, and Islam isn't a fake religion, it is a real religion that people still practicing until now even though I don't think their god is real since I only believe in Jesus Christ our ONLY Lord and Saviour.

@@cormalopo9248 Since you are Christian, and I'm also Christian that believe in Jesus as our Lord and savior. there is no other religion outside of that. i will not call Christianity religion it is a belief. so with that been said, their god is not the same God that we believe, you need to study a little bit about their god. because it is not the same. that's why i call it fake religion created by mohamed, even though millions believe on that, does not make it a right, i hope we can have a good conversation.

she and mordecai didn't save the jews it was the Persian King who saved the jews and the women was the queen of Persian King and she requested to him and he fulfilled her wish because she was his queen after all

NOT EXACTLY TRUE. IT WAS THE QUEEN (ESTHER, MORDECHAI'S NIECE) WHO FORCED THE PERSIAN KING (ESTHER'S HUSBAND) TO SAVE THE JEWS. AFTER ALL IT WAS THE KING AND HAMAN WHO WANTED TO KILL THE JEWS IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT'S NICE TO KNOW THAT THE IRANIAN GOVERNMENT HAS KEPT THE TOMB INTACT ALL THESE YEARS. WHAT A GREAT TOURIST PLACE AND OTHER JEWISH MONUMENTS THERE ARE IN IRAN.
