This is the ref. for the sphere as shown at the end of the video in case you need it to create your own i.pinimg.com/originals/d1/13/51/d11351308cf7fbf81b43e4dd5e486693.jpg
Instead of selecting the shape as pixel selection you can actually create a pixel later and make it a clipping mask to the elipse. Then you will paint inside it only. Works like in Designer.
Hola! Espero haber clarificado tu duda. Gracias por tu interés.
@@isabel_aracama procreate is a graphics program like Affinity. I know you are an artist so you'll understand when I say the joy of painting is when you can blend the colors through painting them together. That program procreate is an apple app on the iPad. I'm a die hard Affinity user but I know one of it's limitations is not being able to mesh the colors together so that you can blend them together. Like in this tutorial the ball that you use as a guide for shading if you were to paint the white into the black it should make grey but, in Affinity you can't mesh the colors together to make another color you can only use the colors in different tones and shades.
Hi Casey. I know Procreate but since I haven't used it much myself, can't really tell if this option I am to propose you might be similar or of help, but in any case check this out. If interested there's a link to download the kit for free. It' called DAUB blenders by Paolo Limoncelli and they allow you to paint blending colours together: vimeo.com/149652695
One step at a time, it's still quite a young software. The learning curve is much shorter especially being experienced, and even though some features are still missing, it has most everything I need for my daily work.
@@isabel_aracama used to be Serif DrawPlus X5. I don't think its that young. Kind of find it strange in Serif DrawPlus X5 they had auto-tracing and shape builder tool alternative. I wonder why they scrap those features in affinity. Still exploring a lot. Later going to do a video what I liked and what I did not like about affinity.
Well, Affinity Designer is out officially since October 2014. But yeah, lots of people still use and seem to miss features present in DrawPlus. The 2 features you mention are one of the 2 more people seem to miss. Shape builder is something that'd come really handy. I don't auto-trace much so I really don't miss it myself but many people do. Then another one feature I don't need, but people love is gradient mesh. I was told some time ago they had a new take in mind for a gradient mesh tool, but still this hasn't come out after more than 3 years... I'd really like to see what they had in mind... but, I'll have to wait. As said, not that I ever needed it, but I'm curious and who knows, maybe I love it! (the one in Ai makes me want to cry hhhh) - Ah also, let me please know when your video is out. I am really interested in hearing what you have to say.

Thank you for this tutorial!
You're very welcome Rainer.
This video is great, Thanks for uploading and sharing your skills, It helped me a lot.
Glad it helped!

@@isabel_aracama ah ya entendi, muchas gracias
I wish we could mix the paint like Procreate
Hi Casey. I don't use Procreate. Can you elaborate a bit on what you mean by mix the paint? Maybe it's even possible.

blend blend blend until you faint :)
Hahaha yes! 🤭
giving affinity a try. Finding a lot of shortcomings compared to illustrator. Not that impressed yet.
