    Thanks for this video. I was raised in a religion that instills fear about just about everything. This last year I was transformed by listening to NDE experiences which cause me to question my beliefs. It was extremely hard to let go of my religious programming. What turned it for me was understanding what Godly love can be and how we are loved unconditionally. I am loved. You are loved. No matter what. It was humbling. I found it refreshing that I was loved IN my faults. Unconditionally. I felt it. I believe it

    This is exactly what I needed to hear. I was raised Greek Orthodox, kind of like Catholicism on steroids. I thought I had put aside the guilt. It's a work in progress, because the idea that I was "bad" was brainwashed into me. Original sin? Once I started fostering children I knew that dogma was absolutely not from G-d. Thank you for your content. It resonates so deeply with me.

    I never felt guilt in my Catholicism. I didn’t buy into it. Maybe it’s my cynical Italian upbringing. I am definitely a Cultural Catholic. Take what I like about it and leave the rest. My dad definitely instilled critical thinking. He grew up in a small Italian town where the church ran everything! Catholicism was more a political movement in those days.

    I don’t feel guilty anymore I did but I’m over it now I’m sure there’s residual guilt somewhere but I’m sure I will get over it I’m of the mindset that I can do anything I want and nobody going to stop me before it was myself but now eternity’s the limit I am living this life to the fullest

    The first moment I held my newborn daughter was the moment I decided in reincarnation. If I, a mere human man, would not condemn my child to eternal punishment for finite sins, no matter how many, then neither could a God of love. No, you get to try again as many times as you need.

    The need to control came from the Romans when they realised what a powerful tool they had at their disposal.

    ❤ Very much loved this video and have lots of curiosity about early history of The Catholic church. Do you have any favorite New Testament scholars? I've been watching John Dominic Crossan lately as he's the only professor I ever saw who called Mary Magdalene Jesus's wife. Thanks for any recommendations.

      I think you are your greatest scholar. Read the book with your love goggles on.Throw away the fearful stuff and you will Get a picture of Jeshua. Skip the Old Testament.

    I got kicked out of Catholic school in the same 5 minutes as my brother. I was 4th and 5th grade for him we met in front of the school. Both for hitting the teachers back.

      @@johnofnew The Israelites have fear for the Lord at Mt. Sinai and ask that God communicates to them through Moses. Having a fear of God is healthy. God did not want the Israelites to be fearful of the lightning and the mountain smoking, but He did want them to fear Him and show Him the proper respect He deserves. Having the proper fear of God helps us to have a proper perspective of our lives here on this earth.

      Awe... not fear

    • @tserv9280
      @tserv9280 10 месяцев назад

      @@richardsaintjohn8391 WRONG.. Fear of God certainly includes the fear of what God can do to individuals, but it also involves a fundamental notion of respect and reverence for God simply because of who he is and, consequently, what he has done and can do for them. Fear of God is fear that recognizes God as the Creator and Sustainer of all life. It is a natural and healthy reverence for God as a superior being as the Supreme Being. It is a fear that emerges in response to the power of God demonstrated in his love. It is a fear that leads followers to submit to Godís will and commandments in order to participate in life to its fullest, knowing that Godís love wants what is good for them. This positive understanding of fear also recognizes God as Savior.
