Can I ask what to do if my right “thass” sends a sharp pain into my hip (read: buttcheek) and the back of my upper thigh when kicking my left leg? It feels like a muscle/tendon issue, not a bone issue. I was able to do this exercise right up until I started spending more time sitting at work. I suspect I lean on my right hip more than my left when sitting. I’m so disappointed to have lost this exercise and need to get it back, so any tips are appreciated if you have time.

hey @catherine....ohhh this is interesting. Without seeing your form I'm guessing here. But one thing I'm thinking is that your pelvis is out of alignment at least when you lift your leg. And there for the connections (tendon/muscle) are strained to connect the way they know they should. So 1) make sure when you lift a leg your hips stay level. 2) Are you over pointing your feet or hyperextending your knee? Make sure that all of the hamstrings (there are 3) and your glutes are working. 3) Instead of lifitng a leg keep both down and put more pressure on one leg and then the other to practice keeping your hips even. Hope this helps! If you're in OPC as a member you can share a video in the members group and I can check ya out! xx~LL
