Alastair that was brilliant. I REALLY enjoyed this video. Like you I love industrial architecture 👍 I’m so glad your back out with the camera as I’ve genuinely really missed your videos of late. Hope your keeping well and look forward to the next one 👍😊
Hi Alistair. Great to see you back out mate. Cracking walk with amazing views. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure. I’d love to see all your still photos in a video. Cheers Dave. 😀⛰🥾
Thanks Dave, I've been out plenty... almost every day but I'm keeping away from the Lakes... just to many folks about. I'm more or less still limited to where I can get to on the bus☹️.. and they're packed as well!😲☹️ Hey ho... I'll put something together for a video over the next week or so. Thanks for watching and commenting it's very much appreciated, ATB Alistair 👍
Great video! I spent a lot of time at the Whitewater Hotel when I was a kid and remember watching everyone jumping off of the bridge! Thanks for this - I'd love to see some stills!
You're very kind Graham, I'm mulling over ideas for a video featuring some of the images I've captured over the past few weeks. That area is so peaceful and rich in flora and fauna 👌 Thanks so much for watching and commenting it's very much appreciated Cheers Alistair 👍
Great to have you back Alistair. The bluebells have been magnificent and plentiful this year. The Backbarrow Iron Works are an interesting part of the landscape. Gosh what a sight the Dolly must have been in blue! Wow a lovely carpet of bluebells, never tire of seeing them. Magnificent view of the Coniston Fells. Not an ideal lunch bench but with views like that who can complain? We would love to see a video of your stills! Hard to find a quiet spot in the Lakes. You did very well so close to Windermere to only see one other person. Ingleborough, wow that is a long way off, although i do remember admiring the Lakes from Ingleborough last year. 👍
Thanks so much for watching and commenting, it means a lot 👌 Since I had my op I've found it hard to find the motivation to film... I've been out almost everyday, just haven't felt like filming...or perhaps thought others might find where I was/what I was doing boring!?🤔 I will put together a video of some of the images from my "doings" over the past few weeks....I do find photography more therapeutic than filming. Thanks once again for your support and kind thoughts, cheers Alistair 👍
@@WainwrightWalksWiaLocalLad My phone/ Google translates this: "Awesome route for hiking, weather was overcast, but still gave a beautiful view. Thank you." I haven't seen bluebells since we left for Germany in 1961. 😢
@@WainwrightWalksWiaLocalLad Yes that's so. I've never seen harebells either. But then they might just not grow where I have lived. Plenty of rhododendron and daffodils though here in the Muenster area.
How do Alistair. I've just watched a couple of your vids and really wish I had done so much sooner.....they are brilliant! I especially wish I had watched this one before I visited this area last autumn. I truly hope you start putting films out again. 🤞 Best wishes, Chris
Hi Chris, that's very kind of you! I intend to do some more filming when it warms up a bit, I must be getting soft in my dotage 🤔😂 I really only started filming during lockdown for something to "spice up" local walks. Thanks again Chris ATB Alistair 👍
Thanks very much... I don't track my route or indeed plan it!! I make it up as I go along from local knowledge! Sorry I know that's not much help...I started in the village of Backbarrow OS grid ref sd3556 8448 and made a circuit on the paths round and over Haverthwaite Heights... it's a great area to explore 👌 Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers Alistair 👍

It's an interesting area, quieter than the honeypots and all the better for that.
