don't neglect the van itself! make sure your van is fully serviced, has good tires, the engine is working properly etc.. awesome build man...would really love to do this.

His is the first glass once I’ve seen too! I don’t want to add plastic into my van either. I saw another tour which used stainless steel containers used for wine/beer storage. You can also find stainless steel jerry cans which are marketed for storing fuel but can be used for water.

Ther desk top should mount right to the side of the bed and swing down on a hinge then two legs unfold or one triangular piece holds it. You can make it look like a picture on the wall. Plus the water that's used needs to go right to a small tank under the van that has a plug so you can just pop it out and allow it to drain. Move the batteries and electrical as well that's all important space that can have better use. There set up is great just a few recommendations. I love it how it is as I love this concept in itself. You don't 'live in' such a space. You rest in them and perhaps handle computer type work in them, but you spend a lot of your waking hours outdoors or out and about.
This is a great video and a great build. I’m converting a diesel short bus myself and I’m still in the process of a desk design and what you set up for your desk gives me a great idea.
Before I met my husband, I had a makeshift home in my 1999 Chevrolet Blazer. It had a mattress pad, a few drawers for my clothes, my seats folded down so I could sleep, and I had panels for curtains! I was living with my brother at the time, but I didn’t want to drive the 80 miles home one way from work (I got a job after college in the city, which wasn’t available in the rural town I was from), so I always camped out in a truck stop Parking lot, took showers every other day (I utilized the truck stop showers) and relied on to-go food. It was pretty decent. But now I live in the city with my husband, and have a mortgage, and drive a sedan, so no more car home for me! It’s awesome to see that the guy did this! I’m not mechanically inclined at all to build something like that. I look for the easiest solution possible.
Great job, Not sure how your seats are in the front of the bus, but maybe you can make the one of the front seats - most likely the captain's seat) "swivel" then you can turn it around (now it will face towards your bed {back of van}] and you can have the desk set up for you use while sitting in the front seat. Some VW's {what we drive} and other winnebago's have that kind of seat. Best of luck, be safe and look forward to your movies.
what would have been a cool idea (in my opinion) is at the back of your bed where you have the storage when you lift up your storage lid put a couple of pieces of wood on each end that are on hinges so that you can swing them down and they lock in place and keep the back of your bed up like a regular futon. that way you can have a place to sit to read a book or maybe even get a type of breakfast tray to put your laptop on to do your work from so you don't have to sit with your legs folded up. just a thought. I think your van is uber cool. stay safe on the road and wish you the best life has to offer in it.

You did a great job, not easy to work with vintage vans. I think your bed / table was very creative! With regard to shower some Vanners have the rear hatch turn into a shower area, with a curtain that goes around the rear flip up door. Looks ideal and lower profile. Happy travels!
