- Hey everyone! Happy to announce that I finished my latest quest in completing the edits of this video. There are a lot of things I need to improve on regarding how to film (I need to be slower at taking the video at times) and edit this type of video, but I'm happy that I am able to show you guys different apartments in SF anyhow!
This video features my wonderful roommate in my three years of college (Maddy) and 7 apartments around the Mission district and Hayes Valley district! For this video, we were looking at apartments mostly around a $3500 budget.

Hi Amy! Was curious which apartment you ended up picking out of these - I'm hoping to move to Hayes Valley next January and would also love to know which specific building the two apartments you viewed are in :)
Hey Chelsea! That's so exciting to hear! Ironically, I ended up living in a neighborhood called Pacific Heights, which is a little bit north of Hayes Valley. The buildings/addresses that I viewed for Hayes Valley were 409 Laguna and 520 Buchanan. Good luck!

hi Amy, super informational video! Do you have any tips on where to find available apartments? did you use Zillow, Craigslist, etc?

I took this from a response I gave to another comment:
I mainly used rentsfnow.com, zillow.com, apartments.com, and trulia.com (- good for checking crime rates around each apartment location). The rentsfnow.com led me to my final apartment now! I would say for tips is to first know which neighborhood you want to be in (I think AskSF on reddit has a lot of good advice), know your budget, and ideally check out the apartment in person! A lot of the times, either the photos online make the apartment look bigger than it actually is or even the opposite. Some apartments also look a lot nicer / worse in person too.

It was a big luxury building so it was pretty expensive I agree
