4/14 I'm on the delayed listening - which I really appreciate!! Loved When the Roll is Called Up Yonder. I know you'll never switch over to the southern gospel genre, but I sure enjoyed that one!!

Incredible, I've been playing classical piano for 25 years, and recently I got into ragtime thanks to Tom Brier and Adam Swanson! It's nice to have regular new posts from Adam, how's Tom Brier? Will we ever have the pleasure of listening to it again ?

Sight reading (go practice) there is no other way u intuitively see recognize the patterns and your fingers just go there. What facinates me about Adam is how easily he recalls his memory 'genre' I suspect it is an ear thing if he loves the tune he can just store it. I bet he memorizes it that early. I had a friend who travelled as a country fiddler UK and Europe. He came across players who played entirely by ear and could repeat any unknown tune on one listen. I think it is Adams main gift/skill in this case its tied to his love of the music. In all cases I so enjoy listening to Adam especially the frilly stuff he loves to throw in his trade mark for sure.

You’ve played about 3 tunes so far and so far nothing from the hymnal. Maybe later on in this show?
