I remember him for his Lecture in Harvard on Justice. It's a delight to see him in our Country.
Michael sandal is a great political thinker !! I recently read his works , too great to be present in our country
Can u name the books
He is the person who inspired me to study law.
One my favorite teachers.. Good to see in India. Thanks sir.
The moderator could’ve asked so much more than what he did…poorly framed questions and even poorer follow back questions, ngl IE can do better
😢
Big Fan for 2 decades
Lastly when everything was going as it should there entered Karan Johars spirit inside one host and wrecked the intellectual into shatters out of Prof Sandal , turning the discussion into KWK show
I am yet to see the full interview but here for the first time heard a public mention by an accomplished public intellectual, of advertising- better call it propaganda- guiding and shaping public beliefs, especially their political opinions. I think that more than frequent wars perpetrated by USA, the famous Public Relations industry, especially in USA, is not only detrimental to healthy democracy across the globe, but also fuels fundamentalism.
I used to think Political Thought is a boring topic then I was introduced to his Justice lecture.
Perhaps Michael sandel forgot about electoral bonds when he said" not allowing money to dominate politics and election campaign"..bruh😅
Michael Sandel's book Justice is one that I often recommend. Such a great mind, yet so wrong on many things. Perhaps the elitist attitude could explain a lot of why he seems out of touch with reality. The George Floyd riots were much deadlier and a greater source of shame to the US than Jan. 6. It exposed just how brainwashed Americans are to exalt a criminal, even venerating him with murals.
Sandel is unfortunately the type of intellectual that historian Paul Johnson and economist Thomas Sowell criticized in their books.
We should hear more from Indians like J Sai or Anand
Nah,I would rather avoid hindutvas like them
-_- really dude?!
u dont need to.
hindutva is needed as well as progressiveness also needed.
