The food introduction makes me salivate even if I am a native Thai of 71 and still going strong. I like duck noodles as well as duck meat on rice with gravy and pickled pink ginger. It's a common dish found practically everywhere but so delicious that most westerners rarely review in youtube. BTW, it's not a tuk tuk but a baht bus or in Thai vernacular Song Thaew (2 rows) where passengers sit in 2 rows facing each other. A tuk tuk is a 3 wheeler can accommodate only 2-3 passengers. A baht bus is a 4 wheeler can accommodate 4-10 passengers, depending on the size. Usually a tuk tuk is a tourist scam, asking at least 100 baht. A baht bus is a fixed price, plying along Sukhumvit rd, I think.

We spent three weeks in Hua Hin earlier in the year after visiting other Thailand destinations and absolutely loved it. My wife is Filipina and we split time between Philippines and US. Hua Hin is definitely in our long term plans for extended stays in the future. It really fits our lifestyle and all services are all readily available. Can't beat the vibe and the pricing is definitely reasonable.

My wife and I really love your channel. We are also early retirees from back in 2019. We escaped Silicon Valley and are loving living in Washington state. However, having worked and lived in various parts of Asia, we are looking forward to making some trips back to Thailand, Singapore, Korea, etc. You guys really brought up a bunch of great ideas here. We also own a number of investment properties. Thanks for covering all the really important points. We look forward to watching more of your videos.

My bet is on Hua Hin values going up when the train is completed, and the Hua Hin airport is in the process of getting international flights approved to Singapore, Hua Hin, KL, India, Jakarta and China. Covid hit Hua Hin hard like everywhere so that set things back a few years, but the kings palace and military is in Hua Hin so it should always be kept clean.

If budget is tight go further up to Rayong or Cha-am beach/seafood area. Foreigner to own landed house just setup a fake company with X2 Thai partner (rural old folk). Is very commonly practice among the C community here. To know this area of Thailand is safe, just observe did the motor-cycle rider just place their helmet on the motor-cycle parked w/o worry of losing. The last thing to note is able to speak simple Thai can make a great difference in Thailand especially price charged in tourist area.

Pretty comparable in terms of costs, actually.
