"useful idiots" are the first to go after an authoritarian has consolidated power. Those close to power provide the biggest risk at potentially trying to take it from you, so you consolidate by sending those you have minor disagreements away, then over time nobody can gain enough power to overthrow you.

In the age of Trumpism and Putinism, any thing is possible.
All that the GREAT LEADER has to do --- both Trump and Putin are seen as the GREAT LEADER, with semi Christian Messianic aura and stature, although to many observers, they bumbling dictators who LIKE each other, a lot, each says ---- is to say thing shit & to repeat is a lot & then allow their their propaganda mouthpieces (Fox News in the US and these circle jerking Russian nut cases, in Russia) who keep repeating it in loops among their JIM JONES like Cults... and they think THAT IS REALITY!
Trump, for example, is a KNOWN prostitute user; a known grifter and con man, and a DULY CONVICTED FELON. But to his Christian Right Nut cases --- people who tout themselves as the LAW AND ORDER folks --- he is the smartest, most moral, most ethical, most educated, and most law & order CHRISTIAN leader they've ever come across!
Crazy people always are operating on twisted reality, beliefs, and contexts of their own creation.... that have nothing to do with the real world 8B other humans have to operate on & live with...

I read a book by an Ethiopian man who talked about when he was a boy decades ago and heard from a classmate about how badly the classmate's family had been treated by the army that took their land.
Even though he was just 11 years old or so he decided to organize a children's protest march through his town to bring attention to the matter.
He was sure that Ethiopia's emperor didn't know that that sort of thing was happening and that if the emperor heard about the children's protest march he would fix the problem and give the classmate's family's land back.
The man felt that when he was a boy because he had always heard that the emperor was a wonderful man who cared for and protected his people.
Police brutally attacked the protesting children and beat them with sticks and arrested those children they could catch.
The boy who organized the protest managed to escape the police but after that he became a lot more cynical about the emperor.
It's stunning that the middle aged Russians in this video are still so naive and ignorant and still haven't figured out that Putin is not the great, caring leader portrayed in Russian state media.
That Ethiopia boy had figured out by 11 that he shouldn't believe the propaganda about his country's dictator.
Why can't these middle aged Russians figure it out?

      Denial
This stage is characterized by feelings of shock, disbelief, or panic, as well as confusion, disorientation, and an inability to process emotions. People may also forget about the loss, avoid reminders, or sleep more than usual.
      Anger
As denial subsides, people may experience anger or frustration, which can manifest as resentment, blame, or a sense of unfairness. Anger is a natural response to loss that can provide an outlet for emotional pain.

And yet NATO didn't react. So then Putin went to cement his legacy, and if the Ukrainians didn't fight tooth and nail NATO probably still would have hardly reacted.

Source: dr. John Mearsheimer in 1993 (12 years before he did his "JD Vance turnaround") in article in Foreign Affairs (if I remember it correctly) where he heavily criticized Bill Clinton for forcing Ukraine to relinquish its nukes to its "big brother" to the East in return for "security guarantees".
Back then Mearsheimer pleaded for Ukraine AND a newly reunited Germany to be nuclear powers.
A nuclear armed Ukraine was the only way to keep the ruSSians out in the long run.
When I read that about Germany I thought: "typical American, as if the Poles, the Czechs, the Dutch would all let this happen without acquiring some nukes themselves.
The Poles could live with a nuclear armed Ukraine, but Germany? No way. Nie wieder."
However, the rest of his article was remarkably prescient about the current conflict:
      1) that RuSSia would invade in the coming decades;
      2) that they would be surprised by how the Ukrainians would resist: both as a mindset and by having the industrial capabilities to support a heavy war.

Notice what you don't see. You don't see a bunch of indiscriminate shelling. You don't see a bunch of civilian bodies laying in the streets. And I'm pretty sure you won't see Ukrainians making their way back home with new washers and dryers.

    • @dakaodo
      @dakaodo 2 месяца назад

I mean, Russia doesn't have much in the way of new washers and dryers to be stolen, unless Ukraine reaches more cosmopolitan areas or some plutocrat's vacation dacha. Ukrainian social media has been playing more the angle that "Man, look at how much Russia sucks! Ukraine's supermarkets etc are so much better."
As far as the shelling and bodies go, for now we're still in a fluid initial stage of attack. Once (if?) Russian military response and extending Ukrainian logistics find some equilibrium, we'll see more defensive lines, trenches, etc again. I could point out that most people forget this happened in the early stages of WW I as well, but no need -- we just need to look at the first stages of every new offensive in this current war. Some stall out earlier, some later, factoring in the amount and quality of opposing prepared defenses. None of them goes on forever.
Of course, I fully expect that in Kursk as everywhere else, Russia will do the lion's share of collateral damage. They've already wrecked their own oil pipeline and terminal infrastructure with shelling or bombing. Their houses and civilians will have their turn as soon as some military commander sees an opportunity to make an ineffectual show of force just to prove to Putin that someone is doing something, unfortunately.

🥼THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God is saving man from the imminent destruction of this old world"
(God incarnate is called Christ, and Christ is the human body clothed by the Spirit of God. This difference is because Christ is flesh and blood; He is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both normal humanity and full divinity. Whether it's human or God, they both submit to the will of the Father in heaven. The spirit of the work of the Holy Spirit is to save man, and for the sake of God's own rule. Since God became human, He realized His spirit within His human body, that His human body was sufficient to carry out His work. Therefore, all the work of the Spirit of God was replaced by the work of Christ during the incarnation, and at the core of all the work during the entire incarnation was the work of Christ. Whether it's the Spirit of God or whether it's Christ, both of them are God Himself, and He's doing the work He's supposed to do and fulfilling the mystery He's supposed to perform.)
      Almighty God said
GOD INCARNATE is CALLED CHRIST, and CHRIST is the HUMAN BODY CLOTHED by the SPIRIT of GOD. This human body is not like any human being in the flesh. This difference is because CHRIST is NOT of FLESH and BLOOD; He is the INCARNATION of the SPIRIT. He has BOTH NORMAL HUMANITY and FULL DIVINITY. No man possesses His divinity. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the human body, while His DIVINITY ACCOMPLISHES the WORK of GOD HIMSELF. WHETHER it's HUMAN or GOD, they BOTH SUBMIT to the WILL of the FATHER in HEAVEN. The SPIRIT is the SPIRIT of CHRIST, which MEANS the DIVINITY. 🙏
Therefore, His ESSENCE is that of GOD HIMSELF; this spirit will not interfere with His own work, and He cannot possibly do anything that would destroy His own work, nor will He utter any words that are contrary to His own will. Therefore, GOD INCARNATE will ABSOLUTELY NEVER do ANY WORK that INTERFERES with His OWN GOVERNANCE. This is WHAT all PEOPLE SHOULD UNDERSTAND. ☀️
The SPIRIT of the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is to SAVE man, and for the SAKE of GOD'S OWN RULE. Similarly, CHRIST'S WORK is ALSO to SAVE people, and it is for GOD'S WILL. Since GOD BECAME HUMAN, He REALIZED His SPIRIT within His HUMAN BODY, that His HUMAN BODY was SUFFICIENT to CARRY OUT His WORK. ☀️
Therefore, all the WORK of the SPIRIT of GOD was REPLACED by the WORK of CHRIST during the INCARNATION, and at the CORE of all the WORK during the ENTIRE INCARNATION was the WORK of CHRIST. It cannot be mixed with work from any other era. And since GOD BECOMES FLESH, He WORKS on the IDENTITY of His FLESH; since He COMES in the HUMAN BODY, He thus FINISHES in the HUMAN BODY the WORK He has to do. WHETHER it is the SPIRIT of GOD or WHETHER it is CHRIST, BOTH of them are GOD HIMSELF, and He does the WORK He must do and FULFILLS the MYSTERY He must PERFORM. 🙏
From "The Word, Vol. 1. The Manifestation and Work of God. The Spirit of Christ is the Obedience the Will of ...
Fulfillment in (John 1:1) and (Ezekiel 2:9-10), (Rev.19:9,13)

This is the the only Church of each one of our spirit that we must listen to or eat and drink like how we eat, dress and sleep every day so that He can guide us and change us by rejecting the evil attached by satan so as to be perfect,
