As an ex - Royal Navy submariner who served on HMS/M Oberon second commission in 1965 I am very disappointed with this video. It certainly does not show the RAN submariners as the competent capable people I knew when bidding for equipment for the Colins class in the 1980's. Pity.

Great video. I guide at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney where we have HMAS Onslow. My dad was ex-RAN.

I did 3mnths on hmas ovens submarine Oberon class submarine 1994 based at hmas stirling and got out of royal Australian navy cadets from 1994 to 1996
The Oberon class seem to have quite the spacey command centre!
