This have more soul and effort put into it than a multi-billion dollar company can
I remember watching this as a younger kid because I was obsessed with halo and this brings back nostalgic memories.
Eh and now I know more about halo it makes me cringe
wow great
Same thing for me
Lyrical Lol that’s why I came back ;)
Ikr this was just in my recommended
I’m very surprised they used an AR Rifle in the simulation.
That fire arm is about 300 to 400 century’s old. If my calculations if correct.
Are you saying its called a assault rifle rifle?
Y mean 3 to 4 centuries and 300 to 400 years I asume?
It’s 300 and 400 not 3000 and 4000
Ar doesn’t stand for assault rifle
It was a tipmann paintball gun based on the M16 platform.
The dad probably got head slapped by a grunt
Lol
Spartan's have never been recalled, in fact the exsistance of Spartans was kept under wraps for a very long time, including how they were trained and taken from their families as children. Also in the beginnin their were photos of Spartans, due to the fact that whenever they go into combat their work is usually classified, even if not, photo's of Spartans were not allowed to be taken. And further fucking more, the fucking guy has his Spartan armor at his house, they weren't allowed to bring ONI or UNSC gear home.
Natertot Don't think they even had homes
Matty Savage No you're right. They didn't even have homes
Natertot Did you even see my comment?
Spartans
Natertot I made a wooden halo assault rifle and I nearly cut my thumb off but the end result was worth it and it is part of my halo display and you are very good and memories from halo and that is another trade of your personality i love halo 😊
Kind of look like the "starship troopers"
the guy that was going to help him had a nerf deploy panted black
the turret was a nerf gun too
6:44 anybody wondering what the hell is that?
The Spartan I’m guessing.
Probably a elite or a brute
some big alien boi
Although I personally think it could have used some improvements (such as more plasma/gunfire effects, maybe even people in Covenant costumes or just inserted models like the Banshees and the Cruiser) this was really excellent.
w0w I didn't know they still had m16's centuries from today
+Russian Dude It was an M4, but close to M16's
Jack Muston yeah lmao XD
Unsc had a budget cut? 101
im 20 rn, as a kid being super into halo , used to watch this video over and over, pure memories
8:06 thats a nerf gun too
I mean 6:59
Can't help but notice that there was a AR-15 in one of the scenes, but otherwise a good short film
Really
Yep.
Apart from the halo universe storyline errors like Spartans having a family or that his dad was in full combat suit AT HOME, the movie is excellent. Brilliant piece of movie making. The effects especially. And all this being done on a meagre budget.. hats off..
He was a 3 I think because raising a 6 year old to be a spartan took too long usually,so instead they were probably volunteers. That explains the spartan having a family
atomicrobin []That One Guy The Shitty Profile[] spartan 3 the kid was and the dad is a ODST I feel
12 years and this is still the best video ever I have seen for halo
Gotta give you props for trying :)
This was pretty nice for a short budget such as yours! :D
why are they using M16 they're not even in Halo
As far is i could remember ervry thing inside of me
Apparently all Spartans in this sector are all British... hu
Same profile pic! :0
+Les Salazar lol
+Eric Garcia same profile pic :O

this is sad when the dad dies
Yeah but who was the spartan then? Who said 'Nows your time.'
co
the manozombie 625
its his father are you blind i saw it and heard it and known it
you can see the britsh flag on the cameo vest.
Yeah I noticed that as well.
joejoe 57 I was just about to say that
The British run the UNSC
Spartans never die, they just go missing in action.
When the kid was playing with the toy I cringed
Griffin Eloriaga if that’s all that made you cringe, I salute you.
Spartan Johnathan Andrews yeah
I think you should have way more than 4K subs
Notice how the kid picks up a helmet that's part of a 1000 pound armor suit.
Lol
Actually near a ton.
+Ben Poop
*cough* The armour is 900 something pounds. #Dothurnaxx was right.
kl
helmets 100 pounds
1:19 does he seriously have to put on his helmet before he even leaves the house!?!?!
at exactly 5:25 the dude has a union jack on :P
🇬🇧💪🏽
I have a problem with the muzzle flash no weapon being used makes that bug of a flash.
its bad editing
Who cares
Also the mutations the Spartans had Togo through mare most of them sterile and unable to have children. Otherwise not bad.
I don't think they're unable to have children, but they definitely have a suppressed sex drive. I think some of them are even asexual.
this may have not been the best, but they did a good job with what they had, and I respect that, it wasn't bad for a low budget fan film, but I would have liked to seen better lore alignment.
am I the only one who wants a pelican toy?
you not the only one dude. i want one two bro
I want one I will go good with my Lego halo toys
Nostalgic Things Never Die They Just Missing In Action.
2019? Anyone watching 2019?
Me!

First 30 seconds is a what I am.... A halo fanboy
As a fan, this film should piss you off.
Naru 'Sanavai ikr
Wow how original :-) dude great job I c big things in you're future
at 5:20 that guy has a black painted nerf minigun!!
Arkraptor Gaming it's airsoft
it's not airsoft because i have a minigun like that plus if its a airsoft gun then why does it have bolt action on the far sides of it??
Good eye
Went from using futuristic weapons, to using m16 looking paintball guns XD
That spartan runs painfully slow O_o
Hum Spartans are wearing heavy metal armour so run slow dumass
Well, the costumes were cool, anyway
Lol
Really no
Venaril NightBlade
"officer on deck" a bit of dialogue missing there should of been "Officer on deck, but sir we are in a wood"
wth? okay, these guys have the transportation, the props, the crew, the tech, the gear, the cameras, they have all the essentials. i always make my movies on a very low budget, but hell, i can make a much better video. dunno why this has over 1.6 million views... i dont have a crew, i dont have transportation, i have barely any props, i have a bit of gear, and i have an old cannon elura 100. i made my own stabilizer rig for my camera outta pvc and small weights, i make my own props, and i use old air soft guns. im using *iMovie 6*. do u know how bad that is? give me iMovie 11 and a new mac and i bet u i can make a better movie than this... o yea, and dont forget the makeup artist...
Let's see it then!
And why would the father be in a 21st century house in his full armor suit and why are they m4a1s for training that's like training today with a musket
Isick Chow Where are those videos?
iSick 77 nuhhggbjjjgghhj
iSick 77 dff
8 years ago I watched this and now I am 16, this is so nostalgic
great job it's fabulous ;)
i fucking lost it when his dad walked in his room dressed in in his Mjolnir armor, like he just had it chillin in his closet until it was time to use it again. I like to think when his dad walked outside to get in his car to drive off that he had a cup of coffee and had to pull the trash around, then proceeded to get in his car which is an 80s hatchback and waving to his neighbor who just walked outside to get the morning paper
Everyone keep saying it’s a nerf gun and it’s annoying meh😂

IKR
10 years later AND I STILL LOVE THIS!
So this kid's Spartan dad goes off to war when the Covenant attack. Then the kid's father died and they have a funeral for him (Spartans never die?). Then the kid joins a UNSC military academy and he trains with what appears to be Tippman paintball guns. Then he is saved during combat by a Spartan who's voice sounds like he's calling to demand ransom money...... Where do I begin with this? :P
Honestly though, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this video. Cheezy effects and all. :P
You ever played or watched some guy play Halo Reach? Well most of the the Spartans in Noble Team died but were designated MIA (Missing in action). Every dead spartan is listed as MIA not KIA (Killed in action) to uphold the tradition of "Spartans Never Die" and the rest of that line is "They're just missing in action"
The reason why they listed Spartans IIs as MIA was to uphold moral. By listing them as MIA instead of KIA, officially no Spartan IIs ever died. It was to give a mystique of invincibility to them to inspire the other marines.
By having a funeral for a dead Spartan, it makes the whole MIA thing pointless. A Spartan II would never receive a funeral. :P
Yes in the halo book the saying spartans never die was to boost morale becuase humansvwere losing the war
If he was a Spartan-IV, then he would have been able to see his family and have a funeral. I guess you're right that Spartan-IIs and Spartan-IIIs wouldn't have one. Spartan-IVs were volunteers so they would have had a funeral and could have seen their family.
Spartan IIIs weren't taken from there parents because most of them were from harvest after it was glassed and there parents were killed
6:10 to 6:57 nerf guns
Foam FLINGING TOYS
Gets shot in shoulder “well now the realistic thing to do here is to limp, right?”
made by people who have no inkling of what halo is.
Tojo mojo eres el amor de su parte de los dos primeros días del mes 3
I barley play halo and I yet know a lot about it
Cuz SIIs are dads that keep their million dollar armor pieces in their kids bedrooms....sorry I had to...just doesn't make sense..
Spartan IV voluntarely joined the spartan program so they could have got family. Only spartan II's were kidnaped at the age of 6.

?
?
lol Spartans having kids. Yeah right.
ikr Spartans cant have social lives and if they were allowed then the Spartan twos would be too much of an outcast due to them being replaced by clones and raised to be soldiers. Also the procedure to make a Spartan both in the sense of the operation and the training.
The whole program was classified until the 2550's
Adam Mansfield
The early Spartans can't have kids. Like literally. Biologically, they can't have kids as a result of the augmentation.
Jason Bourne eres gei
Given the budget, can't really blame them for not being able to make it completely accurate in props and such to Halo.
Wow repaired nerf guns
yep!! painted nerf blasters in halo.
I love the tine black case he hands the kid is actually the thing dr.halsey'smjournal is kept in in the halo reach legendary edition.
I don't know why everyone is hating on this so much. Who gives a damn if it wasn't historically accurate, or that the Spartan had a family, or the ODSTs had the wrong camo! It's does fucking matter. Jesus, these no life nerds need to calm the hell down. A few students put obviously ALOT of time and effort into this as a fun project! Not a professional movie. It really doesn't matter what camo they were wearing or that the Spartan had his armor on. It was entertaining to watch, the effects were great, and the props made from scratch were awesome! I am glad someone is trying to make their own little Halo Cinemas. We need more of these.
This film is top of the line. The people made it really made sure they were accurate and it is just so perfect. This is the best film ever! For the people saying that spartans don't have families they did. The spartan 4 program started a year before the covenant met humanty. Also there are no lore breaks in this film.
First things first; kudos for choosing Halo as your subject matter and pulling off a movie on a tiny budget. The criticisms I was going to put forward were rendered void when I read that this was a uni project on a low budget. Had this been a serious venture I'd have laughed at what I'd just watched, but credit where it's due.
I know the guy who was the commander
......so why did the army guy beat the heck out of the kid?
basic unsc training.
less than basic spartan training as spartan candidates were beaten like 24/7 to build up a near perfect pain tolerence.
Phil Frost Or it was just punishment for failing a command. You wouldn't join the military to be beaten. They can't just take you in to physically abuse you. Spartan-IIs were only beaten with electric batons when they first joined to wake them up and keep them moving quickly.
UNSC Spartan-II spartans didnt get the option to join the army they were taken. they wouldnt have has a choice
Angelo Patricio I'm not an idiot, I wasn't talking about the Spartan-IIs when I said: "You wouldn't join the military to be beaten. They can't just take you in to physically abuse you."
Read through my comment properly before attempting to correct me, thank you.
Maybe if he kept refusing to join Spartans he would get beaten until he says yes
1:41 Yo, that's Nick Diaz 😂 anyone else?
No
... Nice painted nerf guns!
hahaha
They moded them.
Some movies used nerf guns as prop guns.
Plus I saw the vulcan
Aurelia Pineda
Zaxus Zekrom
Zaxus Zekrom
some of the guns are not from Halo
Man still fucking great even years later hoorah
This movie isnt worthy for Halo.
*****
Sure and I suppose you know more about the Halo universe. You just dont know anything about the game if u like this cheap movie.
Yes you are so funny.
*****
Maybe in your dreams.
So STFU and do something sensefull Noob.
you better spend some money for a hobby
This film isn't worthy for halo because spartan's don't have children because they were kid knaped when they were six years old and train and fight every day not time for love. besides if they did have time they wouldn't do it because they have a need to kill, or socialpaths.
Great story! With better equipment, some covenant appearance (via animation), and some more people this would be awesome!
super cheesy.
Lol
oh please they had a limited budget and limited time, could you do any better? No, you couldn't.
Putnam-Poole Cody really, it is their opinion. You have a 99% chance of being right, but maybe they just had to get it done. And you don't have to do stuff to know what the fu/ck you are talking about.
All
Aze i
Why are they using M16s
exacly
michael fink You fucking spelled exactly wrong that's pathetic
Ewan Hendry because they have a budget but thy did there best
OMG I’m 15 now and I remember watching this when I was younger memory’s bro
This was garbage.
I know.
Lol, then do better, kid.
Matt Nash uh Spartans never die.
*****
No it's not, but critics are the ones that criticize the movie. It's like, for example.
"I'm a movie critic... I just said that this such and such movie was really bad, I'll give this a 4/10! this wasn't really good!"
"Wait whaaaaaat? the Director just told me to make movies of myself?! what. the. hell. I get paid to criticize movies for a living, I don't make f***ing movies."
This happens all the time.
Basically: You don't have to make freaking movies to see if a movie is garbage or not.
Hence why we have critics, because people can't think for themselves when they're watching a movie.
dont like it dont watch or comment on it. just go to the next video. you're not a critic. you made a harsh and unfair stament on a film these people worked very hard to make with what little they had. you could atleast say something like *you guys did a good job with what you had, but this video is not personally one of my favourites. it could do with some work.* you are entitled to your opinion bud but sometimes if you know its gona cause fights or hurt people perhaps its best not to say it.
how can spartan hav family they were abducted as children
spartan II's were abducted as children, spartan 4 program took existing military personal and trained them to be spartans
But the cutscenes in halo 4 suggest otherwise
well considering that sarah palmer and buck use to be ODST's i would say that its fact
Because as the paper says they were recalled and had time to make a family
+Lucas Steele Yeah but the wasn't a Spartan IV
I remember watching this when I was 13 and thinking it was the coolest thing ever.
Where do u watch the full movie
Thats a strong kid if he can pick up a spartan helmet
for what the students had to work with ...it was an awesome result...
Spartans dont have families
and those M4's were paintball guns and the uniforms were jacked up lol
Their armor looks like it’s been bought in bulk from the dollar store.
Wow I didn't know that in 2 centuries there gonna use wepons we don't even use any more and use Halloween costumes with sweatpants
Indeed they have emotions. But they don't show it to show their "invincibility," They were trained and raised to become "The protectors of Earth and all of her colonies" They simply don't have the time or the emotional depth to form intimate relationships. They are soldiers and were essentially born that way. They have no other function than to protect humanity and fight the Covenant, Flood, and Innies.
I still remember watching this god
Like master piece when I was a kid
THAT MADE MY DAY.
Spartans do actually form emotional attachements. It may not be a "relationship" but the spartans, their CO's and trainers are a "family" to the spartans". When the first spartan died (Sam I think was his name) It had a huge effect on the spartan 2's, especially John 117
When war beckons all men and boys are called on to fight for the survival of their people. During WWII many, many young men and boys fought in the Soviet and German armies.
5:21 that's a nerd gun painted in black. Wow.
In the boot camp All the commands where inaccurate the saluting was wrong but still a great movie
And why is the dude wearing his armor at home I know he's deploying but you get time to gear up you don't just get ready out in the populace
Spartans don't have families either. And they're 7 feet tall with insanely heavy armor. There is so much wrong with this but it was for school (I'm assuming on a tight time constant) so who cares.
I liked it, but I found many things that were completly wrong compared to the actual lore. They still did a great job :)
it was interesting but yeah you do need to check your facts
.
This was way better in my memories lol
The costume design here is pretty damn good for a fan film
Halo is my favorite game
Spartans become sterile after augmentation that allows the to where their armour, have super strength, perception, etc. Good job for not having a large budget!
2020 I remember watching this
Spartan don't have family's but it's cool
NO WAY I FOUND THIS VIDEO AFTER 10 YEARS!!!!
Just one fault, I don't think they'd keep Spartan III armour in their house. Either the director didn't have another money to make a set or this was just apart of the story
Spartans generally didn't have families since they weren't social.however, age is right. The armor is spartan II, so his age would be around 35.
I didn’t know Spartans have their own armor suit up thing at home
